Our Site is rated:
Rule 1 - Be Respectful
We expect you to be civil to your fellow Members, and Staff. You don't have to agree on every little thing, but you don't have to be nasty to anyone else.
The Password is "Dragon Fist!"
Rule 2 - No Heated Topics
We have to stress this. Please, no real world politics and religious debates, EVER. They're simply too loaded and you will always find at least one person that disagrees with you. It's a seed for conflict. If you must discuss it, please move it to DMs or PMs, and with a consenting party. Political and Religious aspects within the RP setting itself are fine, but do not intentionally draw real world parallels, especially to spark conflict.
Rule 3 - Keep Old Blood off the Site
What we mean by this is, some of us have a decorated and colored history. Lot of friends, lot of people that aren't really friends... We stress that you simply let such history remain where it is; in the past. If you've got drama or beef with someone, this isn't the place to air it out.
Rule 4 - No Flaming
Whatever disagreements you have, you don't need to start slinging vile words at anyone else. If you really feel there is an issue, calmly discuss it with Staff. But don't openly confront someone.
Rule 5 - No Harassing
Just because we say "don't do it openly" doesn't mean it's cool to do it through someone's DMs or PMs either. Excessively harassing someone is not allowed, and should it happen, you are encouraged to show full logs of the incident to a Staff Member. This also means that you shouldn't be going to any other site and bothering them on our behalf -- leave sleeping dogs lie. This ALSO includes trying to pressure someone to do something they don't want to do. If they give consent for something such as your characters getting into a relationship, that's fine.
But don't try to excessively pressure them into consenting; respect the Agency that they have. It's not specifically left to relationships either. Exercise common sense, if you wouldn't want someone doing it to you, don't do it to them.
Rule 6 - Staff have Final Say
Inevitably, the Staff will have to put their foot down and make a ruling. If we tell you to stop doing something, or we lay it out as it is -- accept it. If you feel that it is wrong, you may collect logs of the incident and discuss it with a DIFFERENT Staff Member. Do so respectfully. If there is a serious problem with the ruling, the Team as a whole will address it.
Rule 7 - No Godmodding
This covers things such as Ubering, Meta, Bunnying and generally being "That Guy".
Don't act like someone's actions didn't happen.
Don't act like someone's actions had no effect at all (unless you have a truly overwhelming advantage, it's not cool)
Don't try to control someone else's characters.
Don't rewrite someone else's actions.
Don't use knowledge that YOU have, but YOUR CHARACTER would not have.
Rule 8 - R-18
What is "R-18"? It means adult content. Excessive gore and sexual content is not allowed. Yes, we have powerful characters, there will be blood, limbs can be lost. But you don't need to start writing out obsessively gruesome details. Exercise some limits.
Sexual content is a little more iffy; it's perfectly fine to imply a relationship between your characters, flirtation and foreplay are allowed as well. Nudity is also fine, but try not to be too descriptive with it. If it's going into full-on sexual intercourse, please fade it to black. If you wish to RP it out, do so privately, rather than publicly.
Finally. No underage content. Characters that LOOK young but are adults are fine. In terms of art and videos, keep it strictly fictional, and only share them in the appropriate section. Please, don't set anything obviously porn as your avatar or as your character's image, etc.
Rule 9 - No Trolling
Trolling is when you perform intentionally disruptive behavior and actions, sometimes to be "humorous", but always with the intent of causing problems for other people. Simply put, don't Troll players, or Troll the site. It's not allowed.
Rule 10 - No Filler
"Filler Content" is what happens when you write an excessively long post that... Basically describes something, or something incredibly mundane and uninteresting.
Example: Painstakingly typing out every single number that your character is counting aloud as they step along. That contributes nothing meaningful to the RP.
Rule 11 - No In-Character Bullying
Look, it'll happen. Characters will end up strong, others won't be so strong. And yes, fights like this in the actual series were one-sided affairs that ended very quickly. That doesn't mean you should go out of your way to purposely screw with other people just because you're at the "top of the food chain". The RP is for everyone to have fun. Not to stroke your ego.
Rule 12 - No Planetary Destruction
Again, this is Dragon Ball; characters with godlike power that can even destroy an entire world with ease. But it's not allowed here, there are no mechanics to support it, and we are strongly against making it an available feature. On that same note, permanent destruction of major locations (such as Kami's Lookout) are not allowed either. It's okay for places to get torn up, especially as the result of fights, but permanent destruction has been ruled against.
Rule 13 - Leave 'Em Alone
If a player leaves the site for one reason or another, unless they give explicit and obvious permission, leave their characters alone. They will be treated as if they are in stasis. Referencing them is okay unless the player says not to do that as well. Don't do anything directly to them otherwise. Leave 'em alone.
Rule 14 - No Exploits
In the event there is a bug within the mechanics, do not try to abuse them in your favor. Accidentally stumbling upon them is fine, and reporting them is encouraged. But intentionally trying to rig the system in your favor is explicitly not allowed.
Rule 15 - Communication Is Key
We understand that we can have stressful days. Sometimes we take things the wrong way, and our instincts can be to do any number of self-defensive measures... This rule is to say; please never be afraid to ask if you're confused or concerned about something. No one is going to think lesser of you for it. We can't help unless we know something is wrong.
And on that note, if you feel you need to leave a thread in short notice, that is entirely your prerogative. But please let the other people in the thread know this. A lack of communication can lead to misunderstandings that are otherwise easily avoided.
Rule 16 - The Lore
Site Lore is a tricky subject. It's a hefty thing to mess with or add onto. Small things like characters showing up for the sake of furthering your story is fine. But things such as the founding of major kingdoms, factions, or locations? Please discuss it with Staff first.
This includes the Supreme Kais. They hold the immense power of creation. This includes their ability to create planets and life. Please bring it forward to Staff before you decide or assume anything! Creative freedom is a very fine thing, so please respect ours.
Rule 17 - Please Finish
This is related to grading. Especially if you're going to post solos. Please don't post RP Threads that are a "work in progress". We understand that real life can be hectic, and sometimes you just don't have the time to post the full thing. Please wait until you do, your work can be saved!
We ask you to do this because we have an instated Solo Counter. It resets dependent on when you've posted, and it's information that the Staff needs to work with. We also prefer having finished work posted to our roleplaying areas. So please, finish before you post!
Rule 18 - No Scalping
If you wish to advertise another site or forum, do so in the appropriate section. DO NOT spam it wherever you can and try to steal members away from our site. There's no need to go joining our forums just to do that -- there is an advertising section for a reason. Use it.
Rule 19 - Applies to Discord
All the site rules apply to the site's Discord as well. Please bear that in mind.
The Password is actually "Sword of Hope", don't mention "Dragon Fist!" in the Password Section.
Rule 20 - Subject to Change
All rules as they have been indicated above can be changed as the Staff deem it necessary. New Rules may be added as well. You will be expected to follow the Rules as they are updated.
