Character Death:
This is Dragon Ball, and for one reason or another, your character may die. When this happens, they're sent to Other World. However, not all is lost! Your character is not deleted, you can continue playing them, and revival is possible. But that's far from the only things that happen in Other World. For this thread, we'll be going through everything you'll want to know!
For starters. Character Death can only happen under certain circumstances:
First, Sagas. If you're in one of the Site's Main Story Sagas, then your character will be at risk of dying.
Secondly, with player consent.
This means that people can't go around randomly killing other characters for no good reason. For a character to die in any other thread, both parties must consent to the deed.
If there are any other instances in which a character can die, we will ALWAYS notify you.
Check-In Station:
When your character dies, they will be judged by King Yemma; don't bother trying to fight him. He's been at this job for a very long time, and any power you could possibly muster would be utterly feeble to him. That being said, he is a fair Judge. He will look over the actions in your character's life, and decide where they should go.
How is this decided? All you need to know is that we have a hidden Karma Stat. This stat is tracked by Staff, and will be adjusted according to the actions and intentions that the character has undertaken. In short, don't worry about it. Play your character as you see fit. You will not be told what your Stat is, no matter how you ask. We gotta keep some surprises for you!
Afterlife Training:
Dependent on the Karma Stat, your character may qualify for very special training, allowing them to learn unique techniques that cannot be learned anywhere else! Note however that once you get one set of Afterlife Training, you cannot gain the others. You are "locked in", essentially.
However, if your character's Karma Stat wildly changes, they will be unable to use these powerful techniques.
For full honesty, you already know two of these:
Kaioken and Spirit Bomb.
If your character learns how to use these, they will be unable to use them if their Karma becomes overwhelmingly negative. You will not lose the techniques, you will simply be unable to use them.
Revival:
Character Revival can happen in a few ways. The first and most obvious one is with a wish from the Dragon Balls! However, simply this much would still lean too much to the side of 'permadeath', so we have added another system in which you can revive.
For every thread you perform in Other World while dead, you do not gain PL or Zenny. Instead, you gain Soul Points.
3,000 of these is enough to revive your character. But it may be worth picking some extra up, as it will be converted into PL once you revive.
Just two things to keep in mind! You can't go over the current Power Level Cap, and there is also a Conversion Cap.
