Kai
Current Supreme Kai:
3/5
Home world: Sacred World of Kais
Average Height: Extreme Variable (Close to Human average however.)
Culture: Pantheon
Description:
The Kais are the Gods of the Universe. Those that create all life, and do what they can to maintain it. Their very nature is unlike any Mortal Race, especially in terms of their birth and power. These beings are strong, and typically possess great knowledge. They may also move freely between Other World and the Mortal Realm. Their appearance varies, especially between Kais and Supreme Kais. But they are Humanoid in stature, and they have long, pointed ears.
In terms of skin and hair color, the sky does appear to be the limit. As some can look impressively close to a Human, and others can look like an alien race. While there is no particular limit to the number of Kais that can come to be, Supreme Kais are an exception; born from golden fruit that sprouts from the Tree of Life. There are four, one for each Quadrant of the Universe. North, South, East, and West. Though a fifth exists as well, serving as a type of coordinator as the Grand Supreme Kai.
As a final note. Under normal circumstances, Kais cannot be sensed in matters related to Ki. This is because they are, in fact, deities. Therefore, they have Godly Ki. Despite this, for the safety of the Mortal Realm, their power is limited...
Racials:
Kai Kai:
Kaioshins are capable of teleporting across impressive distances, even across dimensional barriers. The selection of this Racial allows them to do this to a more enhanced degree; with this Racial, the Kaioshin can take one player with them to the Sacred World of the Kais, and bring them back to the Mortal Realm just as easily. The transported character shall not be counted as dead, and cannot reap any of the benefits of Other World.
[This is a Racial that starts you with a Mastered Technique, Kais are capable of naturally mastering this without the Racial]

Duality:
Kaioshins can sometimes fall from grace, and the ones that do will become what is simply known as a Makaioshin. The differences between these two are many. But is most simply summed up as the following...
Creator Touch
A Kaioshin that maintains their role and duties will remain as pure and mystical as when they were first born from the Tree of Life. This is so signified by their enhanced healing capabiliites. Their heals are 10% more effective than usual.
Destroyer Touch
A Kaioshin that has fallen from grace becomes a Makaioshin, and their powers become as twisted as their hearts. They deal 10% more damage to all Mortal Races.
[Only one effect can be chosen from this Racial.]

Divine Potential:
The Kai are a race of near limitless potential. The energies bestowed upon them by the Otherworld grant them capabilities in a myriad of ways, as such those with this racial will recieve a permanent x5 multiplier while in the Otherworld. This racial also comes with a secondary effect of which must be chosen at character creation:
Gift of the Creator:
While in the Mortal World, a kai with this racial may grant an ally a 10% boost to the PL used by their Techniques for three turns, once per thread.
Self-fulfillment:
While in the Mortal World, a kai with this racial may grant themselves a 10% boost to the PL used by their Techniques for three turns, once per thread.
[Only one secondary effect out of the two may be chosen]

Genesis Rebirth:
Though it often takes hard work on the part of Mortals to leave behind the Otherworld after their death, the Kais have no such difficulties. Whenever a kai dies with this racial, they may revive for free. As an additional secondary effect, those with this racial can grant a temporary revival to mortal allies that lasts for one real life week, after which the mortal player will return to the afterlife until they can revive properly. This secondary effect has a cool down of one real life month.

Mystical Connection
Kais might be limited in power when they venture to the Mortal Realm, but that doesn't mean they were made weak or defenseless. Such a fact is made perfectly clear with their Mystical Connection to the Sacred World of the Kais; and more importantly, the Tree of Life which bore their fruit. This connection allows them to call upon just enough power so as to reliably defend themselves, even with the Limiter in place.

Level 2 - (0/60) - 3 Stamina Drain per turn
Level 3 - (0/120) - 2 Stamina Drain per turn
Hidden Power
Although Kais are meant to carefully use their abilities while in the Mortal Realm, there are times in which it becomes necessary for them to access the abilities that they would otherwise leave dormant. Calling out their energy in this state will lead to a much greater increase in power than before. Hopefully, it will be enough to turn the tides without upsetting any particular balances.

Current Supreme Makaioshin:

!!Attention!!
While there are no rules stating that a Kai cannot be your first character, we highly recommend that you make any other race as your starter and "main". Kais provide a very different playing experience, especially Supreme Kais.
Many of the mechanics will be experienced very differently. They are generally recommended for those that are more intimately familiar with the site and the mechanics.
All Kai and Maiokai are subject to the rule preservation of balance. Kaioshin and Makaiōshin cannot intrude upon the realm of the opposite alignment. Kaioshin cannot enter hell, and Makaioshin cannot enter the upper levels of Otherworld without consent. In addition, if a Kai attacks a mortal in the world of the living unprovoked, they receive a 50% PL reduction for the entire thread (this does not apply if a mortal initiates the fight.) If a Kai of either alignment enters a battle, a kai of the opposite alignment can enter the thread. This does not count as an normal use of Kai-Kai. Only one Kai can enter for each member of the opposite alignment is present.

While the Kai was holding back before, they have now opted to use every bit of power they can muster. If they must use a power such as this, it does lead one to the conclusion that things have gotten rather dire... But in such a case, it is their job to see to it that it doesn't upset the balance of the Universe. Such is their duty as the Gods of the Universe.

Partial Limiter Release
When Kais go to the Mortal Realm, they do so under the understanding that they must limit their power. Their role is not to destroy, after all. And upsetting the delicate balance would be a grievous mistake. But there are some circumstances that are indeed dire enough for it to be deemed necessary that these Limiters are released. This is only a partial release, but one should hope that it would be enough to resolve whatever calamity might be calling for this kind of state in the first place.
