The Fae
Home world: Hegemon
Average Height: 3 Feet (91 Centimeters)
Culture: Monarchy
Description:
The Fae are small in stature but strong in their own right. Their personalities and demeanors are often childish, however contrary to these traits they are capable of as much intelligence as humans. They may look like children however they are anything but. Their goals tend to be limited to having fun and committing pranks which are thankfully benign. Despite this, individual Fae can have far greater goals than merely curbing their boredom.
Visually Fae look similar to humans, however, they only ever reach a few feet in height, and their limbs are obviously scaled to match their smaller bodies. They can come in all variety of skin tones, hair colors, and eye colors. Unlike humans though their eyes glow brightly, some even say those eyes of theirs can be seen in a dark room. Also unlike humans, Fae tend to have long life spans ranging from one hundred years all the way up to five hundred.
Centuries ago the Fae entered our world out of curiosity, coming from their own dimension, an endless plane of flowers and trees. They lost their ability to return to their own dimension long ago, however a Fae that trains their abilities may find themselves able to gaze upon their home dimension temporarily... And it is from this dimension that their powers originate. Fae are naturally gifted with the ability to use magics unlike other races who must train themselves to do so.
It is due to their origins in another dimension that their understanding of how our universe works is surprisingly limited despite their intelligence. It took them several centuries to discover that this dimension wasn't limited to Hegemon. Despite essentially being foreigners to our world however, they are almost always benign in nature. Choosing to care for their new home dimension rather than turning it into a fragile plaything.
Racials:
Faerie Ring:
Though the ability to return to their home dimension is thought to be lost, there are a rare few among the Fae who can still return, albeit temporarily. With this racial, once per thread you may teleport yourself and one target into the Home Dimension for three turns, after which you will return to the regular dimension within the same thread.

Wild Snare:
The Fae are masters of illusion and trickery, and though they may seem squishy and without any real defense, that thought could very well backfire for you. With this racial, once per thread a Fae may substitute themselves for a false decoy that will take the entire brunt force of a single attack.

Double Swap!:
Mastery of pranks and magic can manifest in many unpredictable ways, and this racial is no exception. With Double Swap! one time in a thread, a Fae may switch places with an ally or enemy, switching the intended target of an attack.

Bad Luck Forecast:
Fae magic is capable of not just illusion, but physical manifestation as well. Those who are typically quite capable of handling themselves may suddenly find an untied shoelace or that their aim is slightly off when going up against one of these tricksters. Once per thread those with this racial can force an opponent to take 10% damage from their own attack, negating that 10% for the intended target.

Transformations:
First Stanza - Peri:
Peri is a result of a Fae calling upon the dormant powers lying within, and the first step to unlocking their transformation line. In this form a Fae gains small yet functional wings on their back. Their magical and ki energy both spike as well. The transformation is far from perfect however, and a Fae will not retain any memory of their time in this form. Perhaps a sign of the power requiring a deeper connection.

Second Stanza - Wisp:
With ancient words uttered, the second form, Wisp is accessed. Wisp taps into the mystical energies of the Fae's home dimension in order to boost the user's power. The physical changes with wisp are far more subdued than with the previous transformation. Instead the main change is an increase in wingspan. However, unlike the previous form, a Fae will retain their memories during its use. Sadly only a temporary transformation due to the nature of attempting to open boundaries between dimensions.

Third Stanza - Rowan:
In order to achieve Rowan, a Fae must strengthen their connection to the home dimension; a feat possible through imbuing ancient magical runes across their body, and by doing so creating a "phantom copy" of themselves that exists within the home dimension. Simultaneously existing on the border between worlds causes the user's power to skyrocket to absurd levels far beyond what any Fae is typically capable of by themselves. While in Rowan a Fae's entire body glows with otherworldly light. Far less temporary than Wisp, but no less volatile.

Fourth Stanza - Deva:
Expanding upon the efforts which make Rowan possible, Deva further deepens a Fae's connection to the home dimension by not just imbuing themselves with magical words of tether... But imbuing the very air around them with these same ancient words. Within this transformation is the user's deepest possible connection to the home dimension; While under the power of Deva, a Fae is physically projected into both worlds at once, both beings sharing power to multiply the user's output even higher.

Final Stanza - Imperfect Precursor Form:
With a Fae's connection to the home dimension as secured as it can possibly get, they must tap into their power in a different way. That way is the Imperfect Precursor form. Drawing the power of the home dimension deeper into their core, the user transforms from their small stature into a much taller, more human-like being - A being resembling the legendary "Precursors" the Fae have only spoken of in legends. However despite this, it seems as though this transformation is incompatible with the Deva form, the new body granted while using this power is covered in fractures - Not like wounds, but rather like cracks in a clay pot, with pure light seeping from these areas. What's more it will cause the user considerable pain as they use it.

True Precursor Form:
The true peak of a Fae's inner power. Within this transformation lies the true form of the precursors. Massive wings, glowing light surrounding their body, otherworldly aura, their "greater humanoid body" also exists without any fractures unlike it does within the Imperfect form. It requires large amounts of energy to maintain, but despite this it is absolute perfection devoid of the crippling pain caused by Imperfect Precursor. The miasma emitted by this transformation allows for magics never before witnessed in this dimension. Things akin to miracles thought impossible.
