It looked like things were slowing down, but they definitely weren't completely calming down. To Renko's surprise, the person in the power suit was none other than Ms. Proudmoore herself! He knew that he was going to see her again someday, but he didn't expect to so soon. Especially suited up in some sort of advanced armor. Renko felt relief takeover after the shock wore off however, glad to know that there was someone he knew he could trust. Having had come in halfway through the conflict, he could barely tell who was on the "right" side. She warned him about the white haired individual who stood next to angry muscular man, saying that he was dangerous.
"Noted, Ms. Proudmoore." He replied, nodding.
Renko was slightly offended, thinking that he was more than capable of taking care of himself. While he knew she was just being caring, he had enough confidence in his own ability to not be too concerned. Besides, he welcomed the challenge.
The alleged criminal than began to insult Proudmoore, which didn't exactly help his image in Renko's eyes. In fact, his whole demeanor gave the Saiyan Warrior bad vibes. The way he snapped at his blonde haired friend made it seem like he was slightly unhinged and was ready to strike at any moment. Reluctantly deciding to let the "little friend" comment go, Renko went on to keep trying to defuse the situation. He did end up taking the detective's advice to an extent, keeping his guard up while they were all around him.
It was then that it looked like the smaller girl was about done with the games, putting up an entire video in the sky with her damn eyes and revealing the truth. Renko had a lot of questions about her, but he had to save those for later. From what he gathered from the interview that was displayed, Proudmoore and this girl were right. Renko himself couldn't help but be disgusted that anyone would harm a presumably good man like that. The saiyan glared at Asmoskon, seeing him as the enemy. They definitely had to do something about him.
That being said, Renko felt bad for Zeferoth. Sure, he might've broken the law against space travel, but he wasn't hurting anybody. If anything, it looked like he just wanted to be left alone. Now, even he was completely armored up and ready to brawl if necessary, he tried one more time to ask.
"Alright, alright!" Renko shouted, trying to get everyone's attention. He was certain that if anything else went wrong, there was going to be a pretty big fight. He had to choose his next words carefully. This was a tough situation. On one hand, Zeferoth was right: He was just minding his own business, and everyone intruded in his space. On the other hand, there was a pretty bad, wanted criminal that had to be deal with. On top of that, Asmoskon shouldn't even be here, he should be behind bars.
"Look, Zeferoth, that's your name right?" Renko asked, hearing it during the criminal's rambling. As the real victim here, he thought it was best to start with him.
"I get it, this was your space, and we all intruded. That's annoying. And, because I know no one else is going to, I sincerely apologize on their behalf. That being said, we all watched that film. Given the nature of the situation and all, I think it's a little too much to ask for everyone to just move away. This is law enforcement dealing with a wanted man after all. Odds are, as unfair as it may seem, it's best if you find another spot to settle into." He advised, now turning to Asmoskon. As he did so, Renko became more serious. He had no patience for evil men, and he would make that perfectly clear. He had anger in his voice, frustrated that there were people like Asmokon in the world. It was people like him that made the Imperial Army necessary back on his home planet.
"As for you, like it or not, you're coming with us. There is no option. I've seen enough to know that you're rotten to the core. Your disregard for the well being of those around you is evident. From the way you've acted and from the way the pilot in the interview spoke of you after being on the receiving end of your wrath, there is no doubt in my mind you're guilty of what they say. If you don't come quietly, you can forget Earth's enforcers, you're going to be dealing with me. And trust me when I say, I'm really hoping you don't come quietly. So," Renko's tail unraveled from his waist and startling waggling in the air. The saiyan warrior's white aura flared to life as he took a couple steps forward and stood directly in between Asmoskon and Proudmore and Zeni, wanting to fight alone if the confrontation came to blows. He stared down the evildoer, crossing his arms and slightly leaning his head to one side.
"What's it gonna be, tough guy?"

Asmokon would suddenly hear a feminine voice echoing in his mind. "Oh my word! Looks like you've gotten yourself into quite a pickle. At this rate, everyone on Earth is going to hound you for eternity. I can make it all go away and get you out of this mess. If you promise me to do a little favor later. I'd make my mind up quickly too: at this rate, the best possible outcome appears to be spending time in a prison cell."

Chaos. That was all that was present. First off, it didn't become any surprise at all but Asmoskon was clearly an asshole. What did he choose to do? Run his arrogant mouth. Understand? Oh this was about to be shitshow. The woman's eyes glared at Asmoskon with an angry look. "Understand? WE don't understand? You're right. I don't understand how anyone can claim their 'innocent' after beating the living hell out of a boy, THEN have his goons toss him outside and he mysteriously dies. If you were honestly innocent as you say then you should have walked out with me and talked to me about this. What the hell do you do? Resist! I think I do understand you... I understand how mentally unstable you are!.... As for coming here, I was trying to make sure there wasn't a threat to the villagers. I wanted to make sure HE wasn't hurt..." Nexus' eyes glared with hate towards Asmo. He wasn't even willing to admit he fucked up... No... He decides that what he did was fine.
Asmo would then act like a maniac. Laughing out of control as she revealed herself. This honestly didn't surprise her one bit, "I'm glad my appearance amuses you. This really comes to show who's the real threat here." As he rambles on about how she needed to sit down and chill out and apologize she looked over at Zef who was having... well a tantrum of his own to which she shook her head. "No... I'm not going to sit down with you because last time we talked you wanted to have sex with me and all the corny crap." Stating all that in a bold tone. She honestly isn't putting up with this shit. This seriously is getting old, real, real quick.
The android luckily was by her side throughout this whole encounter... This made the detective feel relieved and yet honored... She would look over as the android would lay out the video evidence of the pilot's experience in front of them all. This had to be enough to show the outlander of this right? "Hey... Make sure you relay to her that her help is very appreciated... I owe her afterwards.." Talking to the AI assigned to her suit which was kept at a minimum so others can't hear. As the video plays out, she lowered the weapon down to cease the hostile body language and allow the group to assess why this was a big deal. She kept herself ready in the likely scenario something would pop off but the detective let it all play out... Hmph... Surely this should go well now that the proof is there... However, it didn't go that way.
Despite the evidence in front of the outlander, he suddenly gets mad! The detective looking firmly at Zeferoth.. "ENOUGH! CEASE YOUR DISORDERLY ACTIONS!!!" Shouting at Zef with an authoritative to stop making such rubbish talks and actions. The woman kept her blaster down for now, not showing the man any aggression. "I didn't come here for you! The young lady is correct and you are violating our planet's law but right now I'm willing to forgive that and deal with someone who is a real threat here! You've been shown enough proof that this man is DANGEROUS and HURTS people. If you honestly feel threatened by us, then like Renko just said... WE. APOLOGIZE. FOR. THIS. I am not your enemy but he is not your friend. I have told you many times that I'm friendly with you. I have not pointed a blaster at you! I'VE EVEN OFFERED TO MAKE IT UP TO YOU."
The woman seemed rather upset with Zeferoth suddenly snapping... The woman was snapping now herself.
"If you're honestly okay with hunkering down with a crime lord who's called me a bitch, proven to hurt people, lose his cool when he gets 'outnumbered' when he's been given chances to submit... I'm starting to question your motives for being here." She warns the alien. Nexus has had a enough, Renko would step in luckily and try to calm the situation down. "I'm sorry Renko. I know you're capable of handling yourself. I just hate seeing someone as good as you get involved in such a mess..." She spoke towards Renko in a sad yet frustrated tone.
She would sigh, looking at Asmoskon... She finally learned his named... Asmoskon... Huh. She looked at him, giving him the final chance... "Look... Asmoskon, right? You're lucky you didn't kill that pilot. I'm willing to give you ONE chance to redeem yourself. I will not take you in. HOWEVER, I demand you tell me everything on your motives. Have you ever killed someone? What's your goal in all this? If you speak to me and you're not acting like an asshole... I will let you start a new life away from West City..."
DAMN! She was willing to let him go? She quickly raised her finger up, "Hold your tongue and don't you dare disrespect ME. Don't disrespect the LADY who's here with me. Don't disrespect RENKO... Hell, don't disrespect the OUTLANDER as well! Speak to me... No... US! Speak to us as your equal. You're given one chance Asmoskon... Don't screw this up.." The woman would cross her arms and let her guard down. If Zeferoth or Asmoskon were going to break this respect she's displaying... They will truly never be forgiven.
In the meantime, the AI within her suit started making her suit flicker with warm colors. She was doing something... But what?

Post by Asmoskon on Aug 25, 2020 6:46:47 GMT
Really was this all they did with their time? Asmoskon kept listening to the words of those bound by society’s chains yet just had to wonder what little free time they actually possessed if this was all they did. The robot girl went over various aspects of what had happened when the detective had first tried to apprehend him. It wasn’t until she displayed a hologram of a video interview with the copter pilot that he had endangered and then saved. By the end of the video Asmoskon simply turned to the girl. “Can I get a copy of that after all this is over?” Asmoskon despite the danger he was in still played the hand that he wasn’t serious. “I’m not running from my name or my actions. I left West City for my own reasons.”
That’s when Zef really looked like he was about to lose it. Asmoskon sighed and began to stand up raising his hands over his head as he did so to show that he meant no threat to these fine upstanding law enforcement individuals. He saw the crystal grow across Zef’s body which definitely intrigued the man with hair as white as the snow that surrounded this melting pot of entities. “I hope we can cross paths again, Zeferoth. Next time though I’d definitely like to take on that armor of yours, looks very challenging.” He wasn’t sure if these three were actually going to follow him out into the snow covered landscape, but what the hell they had all walked through it already right.
Based on what he could see right now it was definitely a three against one situation and he wasn’t on the good side of those odds. The little robot girl and the detective were against him from the start, but now the man that he assumed to be a Saiyan based on the armor that he was wearing had started to give him a threatening stare since the video had ended. “Remarkable. Even after I say that a little information in one direction can frame someone as a criminal and he still goes right for it without a second thought.” Asmoskon kept this to himself although unknown to him at the moment someone else was listening to these very thoughts that may find his disappointment potentially humorous.
Asmoskon lowered his arms as he slowly began to walk away from the fire that Zeferoth could lay claim to although making no signs of any hostile motion or attempt to escape, it just seemed like he was walking slowly away. Not even bothering to interrupt this Saiyan’s long winded boring heroic speech Asmoskon fought the urge to just declare the man a blank slate. Forming an entire option of someone based on what others told him and what a single video of someone else says. Ignoring the evidence of a man willing to speak and respect someone else that he had just met. There were two sides that anyone could see towards Asmoskon in this situation and it seemed only Zeferoth was willing to actually weigh and judge instead of blindly believing.
“I told you I didn’t kill that boy. You didn’t believe me and wanted more information. Doesn’t really back up how honest you are when you were doing a raid around me the entire time anyway. Remember trust goes both ways and neither of us finds the other very high in that regard. My apologies that I actually find you quite alluring detective, I was under the impression you’d receive such on a frequent basis. One thing you should know though is that you do not get to claim who my friends are nor my intentions for you only assume to know who I am. One can not know or predict the actions of another without understanding them, something you all believe to possess yet lack.”
Asmoskon pondered to himself as the detective had gone off on Zeferoth several seconds ago. “Lose my cool when I’m outnumbered? I’ve stayed the most calm here . . except maybe the robot.” He wasn’t expecting what came next though when the detective gave him the option to walk away if he told her everything. Although he knew that also meant it would matter whether or not she agreed with what he said or still believed him to be unworthy of living. She was at the end of remarks when Asmoskon heard the voice of a female within his own mind.
“Not sure who this is, but I don’t take it you're on the side of the law either. Who’s to say I don’t want them after me? I’ll have a constant supply of fights to push me along my path. If you have the sort of power to get me out of this situation . . . I may wish to meet you regardless. You obviously can tell what’s happening. If it’s fine with you I’m a little interested to see their reactions to the truth. Can they actually remove the blindfold of this peace poisoned society or will the chains around them just get tighter.”
Asmoskon motioned ahead of him away from the campsite. “If you’re willing to listen and wish to be treated as equals then walk with me. Let us leave Zeferoth alone. If you’re worried about an escape attempt by me as I assume then you can walk beside me while each of them is set on opposing sides in front and behind. Either way Zeferoth looks powerful, but has had a long journey and I don’t believe he wishes to fight at the moment so respect that at least.” Asmoskon kept walking now whether they actually surrounded him as he suggested wouldn’t matter. If they demanded he stayed in the light well he’d lean his head back in annoyance.
“You assume I wanted to kill that pilot and I killed that young fighter in the pit. Neither is true. The helicopter I brought down because such a thing is meaningless against someone like us. You’re law enforcement should know that, the time for such tactics is gone and only those that fly should patrol the skies. If I wanted him dead I could have just let him crash with it. As for the boy, he was a loud mouth that missed his father. One of the previous gang leaders I removed from power over a decade ago. He ran his mouth and challenged me for leadership. I accepted and won. He was tossed out afterwards, but I wasn’t the one to kill him nor were his injuries by me lethal. After our little encounter, I did some digging and found that one of the scum beneath me had grown tired of someone may age ruling over him. He killed the boy and happen to be your witness. A set up from the beginning. To answer your question. Yes, I’ve killed people in the past. Only those that sought to kill me or did things anyone would wish death upon them for.”
Asmoskon paused for a moment thinking back over the last decade. This would be more than apparent for any of them actually looking at him though as his mind drifted back picturing anyone he had actually sent to the next world. The voice in his mind would likely receive some of the images of broken, punctured and defeated corpses. Although one thing that might catch them off guard was the fact he claimed to have overthrown the crime boss a decade ago, but he was as young as any of them. He couldn’t have taken over the criminal underbelly of West City as a child right?
“If you need clarification on what I deem as such it’s quite simple. Anyone I found evidence of raping or murdering someone that possessed a true gift or child. Even those that blindly followed me knew that if they committed such actions they weren’t long for the next life. As for my goal. Are you wondering why I controlled the criminals or why I’m out of West City? The criminals just started following me and giving me what I wanted after I beat all their leaders, just blind obedience out of fear. Why I’m out here is just as simple. West City got boring. There wasn’t anyone in the underbelly to challenge me, I had grown accustomed to living easy. So I left shortly after we fought to resume my search for the strongest.”

Zeni clears her throat, deciding to be a little more clear about things since apparently she needed to be blunt enough to be able to deliver blunt trauma. Whatever was going on with this alien made very little sense, considering she had just said that she's not here to press on why he's on Earth or whatever it is he's doing. "And I respect your freedom, sir. I have no interest in doing a thing to you, as you've yet to give a reason for anyone to do a thing to you.", she states in no unclear terms. "I apologize about intruding on your camp, just as the others did. But surely you can understand the circumstances are a little extreme, given the presence of a dangerous criminal?"
With that, the Android gently shakes her head. "Regardless, we'll be taking this man with us and we'll get out of your hair. Since you want to be left alone, I assume that is agreeable?", she asks of Zeferoth. Now turning her attention to Asmoskon, and the wonderful "joke" he decided to make about the interview he just saw.
"You won't need it. Plenty of people have a lot of choice words about you, you'll get to hear all about them where you're going.", the Android then gestures for him to walk, since he was so keen on doing that anyway. It didn't take him long for him to start running his mouth with pointless justifications over what he did. This guy... He didn't regret anything. If anything, he took pride in it. Found it all hilarious. Whatever happened to him made him real screwed in the head. Maybe he was just born that way.
"If you didn't kill anyone, then you shouldn't have resisted arrest. But even setting that aside, you don't get to claim innocence after you took down that helicopter.", she retorts against his defense. It didn't take him long to start going off about how even that was justified. Just because he saved the pilot? What a lame excuse from a deluded man.
"So because you have strength, you get to use it however you like? Damn everyone around you if it comes to that?", she questions, clearly not too impressed with this attempts to paint his own innocence. "Did you even pay any mind to the amount of damage that crash did? Even setting the city aside, people could have gotten hurt. Did you ever stop to think about that, or were you laughing too hard about it to care?"
The Android... Really didn't like him. That was steadily becoming clear. "Don't bother trying to backpedal on that. You found it real funny until I brought that up. Laughed up a storm back there.", she cuts off whatever cheap excuse he might raise. "To top it all off, you broke the pilot's arms. You clearly didn't wish him well, not even with what you had to say to him. Claimed West City as yours."
Zeni pauses for a moment, keeping a close eye on him. She was still charging that attack of hers just in case he tried anything... Or if Zeferoth decided to act now that their backs were turned. She could still sense energy, and being able to tell if his was moving or suddenly being fired up wasn't very difficult. Neither one of them should be able to tell what she was doing either, they didn't have Scouters from what she could tell. "You operate under the philosophy of "Might makes Right". Well, got news for you. You're not the mightiest in this situation. By right, we can do whatever we like to you and you have to take it. Not so fun being on the other end, is it?"
She then rolls her eyes as he puts up a final lofty excuse that he 'put a stop to worse criminals'. "Spare us the "Hero on the wrong side of the law" act. You think you get to make all of this not matter just because you stopped a few people in your gang from doing something? If you really wanted to go that angle, you'd have started turning them all in to the authorities."
She glares at Asmoskon. "Said it yourself. You wanted to rule every city -- maybe even the world. You say you've never run from what you did, but the way I see it... That's all you've ever been doing. And you've been running hard and fast. Enough to come up this far and duck in some ruins, and keep writing it all off as 'necessary' or 'misunderstood'. Not a damn thing you did is misunderstood."

With a heavy exhale, Zeferoth returned to his previous place by his fire tearing another large chunk of meat from the deer taking a bit with anger fuled vigor. If they weren't going to bother him fine, but he was not going to get up and leave cause they decided to have all this here. He didn't power down his crystal defenses, he didn't trust them that much. IF punches were going to be thrown in his presance, he would make himself involved, but it doesn't seem like that is going to be the case.
Zeferoth smirked when Asmokon said he wanted to try taking on his armor. "Well, I will welcome it, and I will see about taking down the so called "King of West City." he said with a chuckle. Asmokon and Zeni already walked away from the camp, and Zeferoth assumed that Renko and Nexus would follow soon after. "Is there anything else you need?" He asked with an annoyed edge to his voice, but there was no hostility to him. "Any food for the road?" He offered gesturing to cooked, yet still mangled deer.
Another thought hit him as he chewed another bite. He wasn't the best at keeping up with current events. He usually didn't take into account things that didn't impact him personally. "So what even caused the travel band?" He asked clearly not in the know.

Post by Renko on Aug 28, 2020 1:14:18 GMT
To be frank, Renko felt a little awkward. He was really hoping a fight or something super epic would go down, but he was just ignored. He couldn't help but feel let down, especially after putting so much effort into his speech. On top of that, Proudmoore and the other girl kind of jumped in and started putting in their two cents. It looked like the Saiyan soldier was overshadowed. He sighed, figuring it was best to just roll with the situation. Still, it was kind of amazing to him that Asmoskon was trying to justify his actions. If he was really innocent, wouldn't he have just cooperated with the law enforcement? It seemed a hell of a lot easier than whatever he was trying to do now. On top of that, Renko was much more inclined to believe Detective Proudmoore, who seemed to have dealt with him personally and was a trusted ally, over Asmoskon. Combine that with the other girl's testimony and the video evidence, his mind was pretty much made up.
In any case, it looked like they were taking this whole situation away from Zeferoth, which was good. Renko was about to follow them, but he wasn't quite sure if he should. He wasn't all filled in on the situation, and he felt out of place. Still, he was supposed to help Earth, so unfortunately this would fall into the job description. He turned to Zeferoth, who asked if they wanted any food for the road before asking about the travel ban. The saiyan shook his head, a little shocked that he was still willing to help them out after all the trouble they caused for him. "No thank you, that won't be necessary. Besides, judging by the weather conditions and the environment, you're better off saving up on that food. Speaking of," Renko pointed in the direction he came in. "I'm not sure if you know this or not, but there's a small village not too far from here. If you ever run out of food or need clothes or anything, that place is your best bet.
As for the travel ban, I'm afraid I can't tell you that information yet. It's not for the public to know." Renko replied, looking back towards Zeni and Asmokon, who were now leaving. "Alright, I should get going. Sorry for all the trouble. Wish you well!" He said, waving as he jogged away from the fire and towards the other two to catch up and follow them.

Ah, the arrogance this human had. She did enjoy watching them screw themselves over with their misplaced pride. Unfortunately, the situation wasn’t going in a way she wanted it to. Things hadn’t devolved into a fight and it looked like he wasn’t going to ask for her help. Still, that didn’t mean that things were unsalvageable though. Asmo would hear this person chuckling in his mind. “Having them after you is one thing. But as things stand right now, the best outcome for you is going to prison. That cop isn’t the type to accept the bribe and Saiyans rarely change their minds once it’s made up. And that friend you just made isn’t going to help you either. Earth’s prisons can hold someone of your level. Which for you would be a fate worse than death. You’d just be a corpse and rot and decay away in a tomb. Not getting any stronger as others surpass you. You’ll never achieve more power that way. Everyone else will leave you behind in the blink of an eye.” Akisei paused to let that sink in. Deep down she knew what Asmo truly wanted. All she had to do was point out how letting himself go to prison would ruin everything for him. Now it was time to give him a little push. “You won’t get that much stronger by fighting people on Earth. Those with power get to control their own destiny. If you were strong enough, these pests wouldn’t mean anything to you. My offer to get you out of this mess still stands. At least until you end up in prison. And I’ll train you to get the power you seek. I just need you to do one little thing for me.”Suddenly an image would fill Asmokon’s head. He would see a great plane, with gray skies stretching as far as the eye could see. As strange as it seemed, Asmo would be able to sense many power levels. All of them were vastly stronger than his own. The vision changed, the scene shifts to what appeared to be a throne room. On the throne was what appeared to be a demon with silver hair. Her power was unbelievable. It was far beyond anything that a human was capable of. It was so vast that her ki itself took form, swirling around her like flames. “Show me your resolve. Don’t let them drag you off to prison. Fight them! Fight to obtain your freedom! The freedom to make whatever choice you wish, without others stopping you!”

It seemed that resolution was on the way. As the one named Asmoskon was becoming more obedient so too did the detective. It was a respectful factor anyways... If Asmo wasn't going to run from this, then Nexus will treat it as if this was interrogations. Nexus would look down at Asmo who was taller than him because of the suit. "You don't need to walk away from your new friend Asmoskon. I just want answers. Since you're becoming cooperative and not so much into fleeing now perhaps this is now the appropriate time for us to finally calm this situation down." Nexus wasn't stupid. Asmoskon was a dirty crook... She obviously didn't trust him but honestly, she wanted to get the lead off Asmo. Yeah, he fucked up a helicopter and all... He damaged it because of a temper of his... However, the woman was willing to drop that right now.
Zeni seemed to feel otherwise which made her feel bad. She honestly one hundred percent agreed with Zeni and perhaps it wasn't wise to let Asmo go with this but if he can provide enough intelligence for the detective, she would be willing to slide these issues aside... For now. As Asmo asked for her to follow him into the snow, she motioned Zeni and Renko to follow. "Hey... I appreciate you two helping me. If you two want to help me out with this, you're more then welcome to come. Ma'am... I know you're very upset with him. I'd like to speak with you afterwards. I like people like you..." Giving Zeni a firm smile before turning to Zeferoth. "He will be right back. We just need to discuss something in private real quick. Again, I apologize for the mess. Hell, I may come back and join you for a small talk." Assuring Zeferoth if things went well, they'd return.
As Asmoskon walked into the snow, Nexus would follow. "Look... I'm not a dirty cop. I don't make deal with criminals. I haven't forgotten what you did to that helicopter and that pilot but right now I've got a serious case involving that boy and I need answers. There's something more to it then it seems." Telling Asmo as they walked side by side in the snow. The conditions out here were wild. It's crazy how anyone could survive this. Nexus would make sure that Asmoskon didn't try anything funny this time. She had the extreme upper hand right now.... At least as far as she knew.
So now Asmoskon began speaking about his side of the story. Remember... There's always two sides of a story. First came with the 'assumptions'. Nexus would firmly correct Asmo on that statement. "Nay, I never assumed you wanted to kill that pilot. If you wanted that pilot dead, you would have left him in that helicopter when you took it down. The story on the boy on the other hand is still up in the air." Asmo would continue on, talking about how the helicopter was unneeded. Nexus sighed and shook her head, letting him continue. There's always a helicopter on scene for everything. Finally, he starts getting to the point... The boy! He begins talking about how his blows weren't apparently lethal blows to the boy. Nexus begins to remember the autopsy report... He took several blunts to the skull along with some sort of energy beam attack through the chest... As she looked over at Asmo, she could see he looked sincere on that point. The detective noting everything he's saying.
In fact, he actually seemed pretty damn truthful. He admitted he's done some killings but only for the 'greater good' of things she assumed. While it wasn't right, she can't simply pull him into custody over his comments. Nexus completely believed he was a killer but she now knew his face... She now knew who he was... Unfortunately, she doesn't know any of his murder cases so she couldn't get herself involved in this. Still the intelligence he provided for himself was useful. As the woman continued to follow him, she spoke in response. "I know you're not lying on your statements. I can tell if you did something you'd admit to it in a heartbeat for pride purposes." She'd stop, hoping Asmoskon would stop as well so she could have eye contact with him. "Alright, Asmoskon. You really are a dirty criminal like I suspected from the get-go. Honestly, if you would have just answered me in more detail like you did just now awhile ago this would have never happened. I've given you my promise and I'm not here to take you in. Not today at least..." She sighed, having a hard time sucking that up.
If Nexus was more on duty for her police force she'd care... No, she was on for Red Ribbon's time right now. She'd look over at her allies, "I can't speak for my allies here but... I'm not here to stop you today. If you wanna pull some crazy crap in front of me I will stop you but right now you're being fair with me and I'll return the favor in the meantime. Today I will give you a truce... However, when we meet again... I will investigate you for your crimes. Since you admitted you've done a lot, I will pull you in for further questioning." The woman may shock the android but she wasn't on her law enforcement's time right now hence the suit.
"This is your only ticket though. I will not let you go next time..." She stated as the woman walked back towards Zeferoth's camp. "Come now. Let's all set our differences aside. I need to question the new guy now." Walking towards the camp. Nexus would walk a ways down towards the fire... It took a lot for Nexus to let that shit go... However, like she stated... This was Asmoskon's only freebie. Why would Nexus do this...? Because he provided her all the information she wanted from the start. He's off the hook this time. However, it's going to change after this event. As Nexus makes it to the fire, she begins to interrogate now the new guy...
"So what brings you to our planet? Don't worry... I'm not gonna point a blaster at you. I need answers from you now."

This really was getting incredibly aggravating. He had done nothing against any of them this evening. Now the blond cop that wanted answers asked him to be respectful and give her all the information that she wanted. Well he was doing just that and yet still this damn robot was trying to instigate things. Perhaps it was just others that believed they had authority over him. Maybe that whole belief gave his rage as this little thing gestured for him to walk. Asmoskon could feel from the depth of his soula burning magma rise. The fucking gaul of it was enough that he felt the instinctual urge to just break her god damn arm. He was the one that suggested they leave and started moving on his own and now this damn thing was going to act like she was in charge!
He kept his control knowing that against all of them right now even with Zeferoth on his side, if the giant of an alien truly ended up helping him. The chances of victory against the three were slim. Asmoskon had watched for years as individuals acted on emotion alone and it always ended with them in bad situations. So despite being a criminal like they all knew he was going to stay calm on the outside. He was going to keep along with this little plan for now, because he wasn’t like every common thug or criminal. They couldn’t think beyond and he was determined to realize his vision beyond the horizon not the back of his hand.
It was clear to everyone now even Zeferoth if he was still able to listen and see what was going on. He wasn't giving this little android any sort of effort. He was keeping his mouth shut because of his word to the cop, but everything that came out of her mouth was the same damn thing she had meant earlier. Once she was done with her long winded remarks about him Asmoskon turned and looked directly into her optic nerves. “That’s exactly why I and others don’t come along peacefully when you all ask. You’ve already made up your mind and nothing we say nor prove will change it. If you’re able to learn from life then I assume you’re young because you have a lot left to learn about the way this universe oppuraits. You still see everything in black and white. I wouldn’t assume anything about me. That little philosophy you bring up doesn’t apply to me no matter how much you believe it may and until you open your mind to all possibilities, you’ll always be limited.”
The remark from Zeferoth did manage to make the agitated look from Asmoskon’s face vanish to a grin as the man nodded his head towards the alien. Tonight it seemed wasn’t a total shit show as the criminal had made a friend in the snow. Although he was still curious about something and really wished he had gotten the chance to voice it. What kind of lizard stays in the snow?
Now though the cop who was the real threat began to speak to him and Asmoskon’s attention was put towards something that may deserve it. “We’re moving away from him because that’s what he wanted. He’s strong, but tired and facing off against him now wouldn’t be enough. This is so he doesn’t do anything to get himself in trouble.” Asmoskon made sure to watch his words closely knowing that he still was fairly angry about how she had just stormed into the camp with her arm cannon raised. Cops showing up ready to shoot anyone and everything and yet they wonder why the criminals always run.
This really couldn’t get much more aggravating for Asmoskon. Even the cop that asked for answers to questions and demanded respect was opposing her own rules for the moment. Stating that if he had just given her the information previously that the events of that evening wouldn’t have happened. Asmoskon had to do his best to not scoff and call her a liar. The fact of the matter was that she had a large majority of the police force in West City ready to enter into that underground shitshow. It didn;t matter what he had said that night, they were going to raid it regardless and because he was a criminal they would have arrested him and sought to put that death and many others on him, despite his words of truth.
That’s when the voice began to speak again. This . . .woman? It sounded like one at least wasn’t much better than the police. Although he felt from his instincts that she wasn’t good nor someone to take lightly he still didn’t like her assumptions. The claims that prison would be hell for him. He had to grin although to those around him it would only relate to the words of the cop stating how he was allowed to leave in her eyes. Asmoskon had dealt with environments similar to prisons in the past and it had made him stronger. Although she was right, Earth was questionable in terms of its might. If this lady was able to communicate with him mentally it meant she might just be able to back up her claims of training him to reach a higher level.
Asmoskon was undecided until he saw the images forced into his mind by this voice in his head. The sight of a demolished empty planet wasn’t appealing to Asmoskon as it gave the impression that things of pleasure would be nowhere in sight. However, what he felt was both new and invigorating to the young man. He normally didn’t know how to feel the ki of others which made finding anyone that could actually challenge him and push him to new limits hard, but right now he could feel many in this place. Asmoskon was frozen for a moment as he saw the sight of this woman on her throne and her energy washing over the area like a flood. She was stronger than anyone else he had ever encountered he could tell just from what he was feeling. He didn’t like the idea of relying on her word or being trained by someone else because in his eyes that was comparable to putting a leash around his throat. Still though he wanted to achieve his dream and this was perhaps the biggest advantage he’d ever get so he’d have to take it.
“I’m no ignorant fool. How do you plan on getting me out of this situation? How can you get me to that place?”
By now the cop had turned her back and started to walk back to the camp and ask questions of Zeferoth. Asmoskon wasn’t certain that the Android wasn’t going to attack him outright nor the Saiyan although he was less likely in Asmoskon’s eyes to take such an action on. That’s exactly why Asmoskon turned his focus on the Saiyan. “She has no issue with me as a criminal tonight. So why not make the most out of it. You don’t seem completely on board with turning your back towards me. So I’ll make you a wager. We fight right here and if I prevail then you follow in her decision.” Asmoskon wasn’t sure if this Saiyan and the Android would go along with his idea, but more than that he was curious how this voice would feel about it.

The body language that Asmoskon was displaying as she gestured for him to keep walking was not lost on the Android. It prompted her to comment on it. "By all means... Try it. See what happens.", she warned him. This guy might think he had some titanium balls hanging between his legs, but he would be in for a rude awakening if he really tried to start a fight under these conditions.
Of course, Asmoskon decided to challenge her assessment by his actions by saying that it was just a narrow way of thinking and that was why criminals always ran. "Criminals run because they fear the consequences of their actions.", she replies in short order. "And some of them will do anything to justify what they did... Even crashing a helicopter in a public city, injuring who knows how many people, causing untold levels of damage... And breaking a pilot's arms while having him deliver a message about how he wants to rule everything."
Zeni narrows her eyes, clearly unamused. "My mistake, you were clearly just trying to ask for a cup of sugar.", she adds with some deadpan snark. "And for someone that wants to preach not having a narrow view, you sure assume a lot about everyone else. Is the view nice from that high horse you're riding on?"
In any case, Nexus did approach and attempted to convince them to let Asmoskon go. And Zeni would have considered that a moment ago, if Asmoskon could have just kept his mouth shut. He had a real attitude problem and he ran his mouth about crap he had an infantile grasp on, while violating his own perspective. "Good luck with him. I'm going to make sure this guy is taken care of.", the Android replies.
After that, Asmoskon tried cutting a wager. Namely to win his freedom through battle. The Android only shakes her head in response. "Believe me, if there's going to be a fight, you'll start it, and we'll finish it."
The Android was still pouring energy into an attack... Practically just waiting for someone to try something at this point.

Now that everything was calming down, Zeferoth was able to think more rationally and understand what was going on. He thought about what he had been shown by the android. Why would a known violent criminal be acting civil now if he was as bad as they all were claiming he was? To Zeferoth, it would have made much more sense if he simply tried to push Zeferoth out of his camp and his meal for himself. But instead, he asked to sit down, seeing that Zeferoth was keen on being alone. Zeferoth rubbed the stubble on his chin nearly missing Renko's responses to his questions. He didn't care if the saiyan didn't want any food for the road, but Zeferoth did give an irritated snort at his non answer about the travel ban. Fine, he thought, keep your secrets.
His attention was brought to Nexus next. She told Asmokon that he didn't need to go anywhere. She would turn to Zeferoth telling him that they needed to talk, and she would be back expressing her apologies again, and nodded his head when she mentioned coming back for some small talk. He just continued to mull everything over in his mind. He would absently finish off the meat on the bone he had tossing it away. He checked to see how much of it was left. About half of what he started with, he estimated.
While no one was really giving Zeferoth any mind, he stood once again and started to flex his muscles against the crystalline armor that he had created. He was starting to regret covering himself with it preempivly as the cold was only getting worse with it on. The others might here some sharp cracks and bangs, as Zeferoth pulled large chunks of it off him. He tossed most of it out of the way returning to warm his body up by the fire. He gave a slight pat to his chest to make sure the delivery he promised to make was still safe.
The footsteps of Nexus walking back brought his attention back from his mind. She asked why he had come to Earth. He kind of didn't know himself to be honest. He traveled from Lemuria to Hegemon wanting to learn about himself, and the other half of his heritage, but then heard about earth legends and history, and that prompted him to head that way, even knowing that travel there was banned. It was strange. Still he needed to answer Nexus. He just hoped that it was a satisfying enough answer.
"I read on some of Earth's legends, and history while I traveled through space." he started in a low rumble. "I wanted to learn more about that history, learn more about that planet which originated such fighters." He looked her in the eyes. "I know I could have looked through the vast knowledge of Lemuria's great libraries, but only coming here do you really feel the soul of the planet." He shrugged his massive shoulders. "Or maybe I was just possessed by the travelers soul." He sighed rubbing the back of his head. He knew none of this made much sense, but it was the best he could come up with. "When it comes down to it. I came just beacuse I wanted to. Nothing more."

Post by Renko on Sept 6, 2020 21:27:57 GMT
Renko nodded in response to Nexus as a form of acknowledging her thanks and offer to help as he caught up with Zeni and Asmoskon . He stayed mostly silent as they all went back and forth, trying to get more information about the situation. While he couldn't gather a whole lot, one thing he was certain of was that Asmoskon was really starting to get on his nerves. At this point, the saiyan couldn't tell if he was sensing his energy or his inflated ego. It seemed like all this guy ever talked about was how unfair they were being, how innocent he was, or how closed minded they all were. However, actions spoke way louder than words, especially his. The only thing that Asmoskon said that Renko found himself agreeing with was leaving Zeferoth alone. Zeferoth had been trying to get rid of them all this time, now that they were finally able to do so, Proudmoore was trying to bring them back. Speaking of which...
He didn't quite agree with Proudmoore with the whole "not arresting you today" thing. In his mind, Renko didn't see the point in letting him go. He was a wanted criminal and he was right in front of them. All they had to do was bring him in. The saiyan didn't really care what Asmoskon had to say about it, because in his mind there was no choice in the matter. The girl with the "TV eyes" had an attitude that Renko really felt he could get behind. They couldn't let him escape when they were so close to bringing him to justice.
As Nexus headed back to talk to Zeferoth, Asmoskon brought up an interesting deal. A fight. If they win, he goes with them, and he wins, they all go with Nexus's idea and let him go. Renko was completely on board with that, not because he thought that the criminal should have a chance to escape, but because it was a fight! Not only were they going to cut to the chase and try to bring him in, but they were going to be able to knock him down a peg or two and, well, FIGHT! Three birds, one stone! It was an offer he couldn't refuse. Still, he wasn't interested in any help.
"No. I'll finish it." Renko said in response to Zeni as he walked up to Asmoskon. It was nothing personal, just that he's been itching for a fight this whole time and he preferred to fight alone. "You're wrong. You think you're right. That makes you dangerous. I can't allow you to go free. I'll fight you, but not here." Renko looked back in the direction of the camp fire before turning to back to him. He still wanted to get away from Zeferoth, thinking that it's only right that they take the situation away from him and get him further caught up in other people's in things that he had nothing to do with.

The voice in his head would chuckle.
"It depends on where you end up after this encounter. It looks like you might get off with a warning today. You won't be able to reach me easily though. You have potential, but I don't just train anyone. I need strong souls. Strong souls with the will to do what they must to achieve their ends. Train, become a figure that other fear! And most importantly embrace your darker side. If you do this, you'll find yourself before me. If you find yourself at death's door, I'll contact you again. Farewell, for now. Don't disappoint me."
And with that, the voice became quiet. But she could speak up again at any moment.
[Note: You can skip my turn OOC from now on, but I will be in the thread in case her presence is needed again].
