The Crystal Dragon
Profile:
Character Name:
Zeferoth
Nicknames:
Zef
Gender:
Male

Straight
Race:
Hybrid (Elfen-Salamander; Salamander Dominant)
Age:
21
Birthdate: 13, January Age 1,269
Personality:
Likes:
Fighting: Zeferoth was a natural born fighter, and for most of his life, the only real way of dealing with his problems.
Spicy Foods: "I like food that fights back!" His words if anyone asks.
Sour Candy: It is much in the same vain as his love for spicy food.
Meat: Any kind of meat would be devoured by him. Doesn't matter how it's cooked or what kind it is, put it in front of him and it is gone.
Solitude: He likes having friends as much as the next guy, he was happiest alone. He trained alone, and that is how it should be for now.
Metal Music: What kind of music is better to use as training music, fighting music, or just fun to listen to? Nothing like Metal!
Dislikes:
Studying: He just can't focus if he has to sit down, and look at books, and paper, for hours on end. Its boring as hell!
Cheap Tricks: He hates it when people pull under handed moves during fights or anything at all.
Looking Down on Him: He hates being underestimated, or looked as inferior just because of what he was. He managed to leave a life of that behind, he wasn't going to tolerate it anymore.
Overcooked fruits or veggies: He likes them on the raw side, but over cook them, or ripen too much, and they get all mushy...they are inedible.
Bullies: He had been bullied all his life, and will not accept it being done to him, or to other people.
Strengths:
Zeferoth has a fair sense of "Fair Play". He would not fight people if they cannot pose a challenge to him. This may also lead into a slight hero complex, where he will insert himself into a conflict where others try to exploit the weak.
Weaknesses:
If there is one thing that Zeferoth has never been able to overcome, it was his inferiority complex. It is very easy for him to be taunted into a bad fight, or doing something stupid by belittling, and insulting him.
Even if he won the fight, the words would still affect him. He would linger on those words until he is able to just forget about them, or have someone help cheer him up.
Vices:
If he has one vice, he is an Adrenalin junkie. Especially when it comes to fighting. It doesn't matter if he knows that he is outmatched, and has no chance of victory. He will charge head long with a large smile on his face, and feeling alive and fulfilled. This also extends to "normal" adrenalin junkie behavior of dangerous stunts, for funzies.
Zeferoth is a very introverted during most circumstances proffering to remain by himself and train, or fight alone, than rely on others, and just being around others.
He is naturally more expressive, and emotive than other Salamanders thanks to his Elfen heritage. He is quick to anger when looked down on, but is also quick to come to the aid of those bullied themselves.
Zeferoth likes to push himself, to see how far he can go, and what what he is truly capable of. He feels the calmest when he is out away from the city and all the people. Just out in nature among the wild life. He has a love for animals that cannot be matched, and they seem just as comfortable around him.
He is at his nastiest when it comes to Salamanders. Zeferoth would often butt heads with any Salamander thinking they had a better idea than him, and as much as they could be arrogant and uptight around him, he would be just as rude, and vindictive right back. If things are dire enough, he can set aside his hatred for them long enough to work with them long enough to see the threat eliminated, and it is safe to get back to killing each other again. He has yet to meet another Elfen, so like everything else it depends of if their individual personalities match up or not if they get along.

Weight:
200lbs
Hair Color:
Sapphire Blue
Eye Color:
Brown
Face Claim Name:
Azrael
Face Claim Origin:
BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma
Zeferoth is massive for human and Elfen standards, thanks to his Salamander DNA. He stands nearly seven feet tall, and weights two hundred pounds of pure muscle. His skin is tanned from both training, and lazying around in the wilderness Lemuria. On his chest, along his arms, legs, and jawline, are tough azure scales. His tail has the same colored scales as his body, and is long enough to be used as an effective striking surface, but he lacks the horns that other Salamander's have. His hair is a deep sapphire blue, and flows freely in the wind. A small beard was grown on his chin. His brown eyes can be as soft as freshly watered soil, or hard as the mountains depending on his mood.
Zeferoth typically only wears a heavy jacket draped over his muscular shoulders. He would only wear heavy pants, and boots as well. He feels like too much clothes are restricting when it comes to moving in a fight, and would also like to reduce how much he would need to pay for a new wardrobe. He tends to choose earthy colors, so that he doesn't feel the need to wash everything so much, and would wear brighter colors when he needs to spend some time in the cities.
History:
Family: Mother: Salara Brightscales
Home world:
Lemuria
Starting planet:
Hegemon
Home Town: Zeal
Due to Zeferoth only being half Salamander, he was naturally more emotive, and expressive than other Salamanders. With that too, he could not focus like the others of his race. His fighting was wilder, more intense than others were used to, and when it came to academics, he was no prodigy. Really fighting was the only thing he was good and, and was mocked for. He would, of course, try to fix the bullying by fighting. This in turn would get him into trouble with the adults. He would quickly gain a reputation of being a trouble maker. His mother was not even safe from the whispers of the townsfolk. Once a bright, promising woman's career was suddenly chained down by one "mistake" as they say. Zeferoth would always rush to his mother's honor, but she would insist it was fine. Her scales were thicker than that. She continued her work as focused as ever, though sometimes Zeferoth would not believe her. He swore he could see it in her eyes. He was a disappointment, a burden. To get away from it all, he left the urban areas and hid away in the wilds where he felt most at home. The animals were always there to greet him, and he would learn to care, and look after any that got injured in their own lives. One day, while he was out reading, and tending some animals, he got an idea. He could go and learn about his Elfen Heritage.
Though the libraries had many books, and some on the newly evolved species, those were just not good enough for him alone. The more he read, and made notes, the more he felt out of place on Lemuria. He did not seem to grow, and change like other Salamanders. He decided that he needed to know what other Elfen were like. To see if he fit in more with them than he did the Salamanders. After getting some work doing manual labor, as well as studying where he needed to go, he was able to get a pod to Hegemon. After a tearful goodbye to his mother he launched himself from home, and to an unknown future.
Race Bonuses:
Steel Scales:
Those of the Salamander race possess scales across their body that are as tough as some armors that other races would normally be forced to equip for their own protection. However, some Salamanders have harder scales than most. Those with this racial have such hard scales that the strongest of punches hit just a little less hard. Steel Scales reduces the damage of all physical attacks by 15%
Environmental Overdrive:
None in the universe carry as much control over nature as the Elfen do, and as such all Techniques with the "Elemental" tag and the element that matches the user's birth element automatically have 15% more of the user's Ki applied to the total.
Note, however; that this charge increase can only be used three times per thread!
[Cannot be applied to the Technique granted by the "Force of Nature" Racial Bonus]
Roleplay Example:
Zeferoth rolled several times grunting with each revolution until his back hit a stump causing him to stop instantly. He refused to cry out in pain, but it was clear on his face that the impact hurt. He looked up at the three Salamader teenagers leering down at him. Their faces impassive, but an air of superiority was just oozing from them. In the hand of the center Salamanderes, a small bird struggled in her grasp. It cried out unable to move. "So this is where you have been." She sneered looking over the small clearing that Zeferoth had made for himself. Reneck, a tall lean boy, walked over to a pile of books that Zeferoth had been reading over the past few weeks, and thumbed through the pile. "It looks like he was looking to take care of them." He said with a dry laugh. Nas, a shorter, bulkier boy, was messing with an audio player full of Zeferoth's favorite type of music. "Don't know how he possibly think he can learn with this dredge in his ear. He said tossing the system to the side roughly. Selena just smiled a small fanged smile playing with her bird captive. "It is just a shame," She lamented. "That no matter what you do, you will always be a failure, one way or another." She hissed a laugh that just broke something in Zeferoth just broke.
He struggled to his feet growling as he did. He couldn't even see the three individuals anymore. All he saw was red. He was feintly aware of where they were when he got to his feet. It only took one step to get him where he wanted to be. He pulled his right fist back and slammed it into Selena's jaw. The blow pushed her onto her back making her let go of the bird. It hopped into the thicket able to get away from further harm. Next way Nas, before he could do anything, a large rock, the size of Zeferoth's fist, slammed into then another. All the while Zeferoth walked closer until he was close enough to grab the unfortunate soul. Zeferoth grabbed Nas' head and pulled it into his knee then tossing him to the ground for good measure.
By this time, Reneck was ready. He took a swing at Zeferoth, but only cried out when his hand made contact with Zeferoth's abs. They were far harder than a regular Salamander's scales would be. He looked again to see stone covering the small half breed's body. He tried to his Zeferoth's face, but every time he connected, it was only with stone. Zeferoth placed a stone covered fist into Renect's gut bringing him down to his knees. With a large wind up with his hips, Zeferoth brought a heavy round house kick right to the side of the downed Salamander's head sending him rolling away into the thicket.
Zeferoth was breathing hard. His chest heaved, but was slowly returning to normal, as he calmed down. Then he lurched forward as something hit him from behind. Something had managed to punch through his stone armor, and his natural scales. Selena brought her clawed hand back for another strike, but Zeferoth managed to dodge. The two traded blows for minutes on end. Zeferoth's anger and rage kept him going after taking so many blows from a well trained, and smart fighter. It came down to one final punch. Zeferoth managed to get in close and slammed his fist again into her jaw with a hard right uppercut.
With the fighting over, and the threats neutralized, Zeferoth slumped to the ground. He was exhausted. He could only assume that whatever that was, it was the result of his father's species. He took time to gather his throughts, as well as his breath and started to collect everything. He was sure they would come too soon. He was only a half breed after all. Now he had to find another place where he wouldn't be bothered. He sighed heavily feeling something climbing his jacket. He smiled helping the bird into its favorite pocket, as he picked up his belongings. "Come on, I bet there is a much better place to recover." He said trudging deeper into the wilderness.
