How to Use a Transformation:
First, you'll need to go the relevant race page. For this example, we'll assume you're going with a Saiyan -- the basic principles are the same across the board.
If you wish to activate Super Saiyan, you'll need to know a few things. First: You need to have the right Power Level.
In this case, you would need a Power Level of 115,000. That's before any other bonuses come into play. Effectively, it's your Base Power Level that matters!
So you know the Power Level required. Next, there is a story requirement. While not every Race is going to have the exact same kind of demand for their respective Transformations... We do ask that you take cues from the main series. For Super Saiyan, it requires genuinely intense anger. Not the frustration you feel at stubbing your toe, or finding out you accidentally gave the cashier a $5 instead of a $1. The anger was always depicted as intense, coming from deep emotional turmoil; for Goku, it was the loss of a friend.
Essentially; try to come up with a good reason for your Transformation! It's only for the first time you activate it... Which bring us to another point.
Transformation Stamina:
Transformation Stamina is relevant to almost every single Transformation, save for those that are permanent. Essentially, it's your body not being used to the intense power you've just awoken; and until it does get used to that power, you won't be able to maintain it for very long.
All characters have a Transformation Stamina of 100/100. The longer you use a Transformation, the more your Stamina will be drained. When it hits 0, you'll be reverted to your Base Form. After three turns, your Stamina returns to 100. Be mindful of this in a battle.
For example: Super Saiyan has a Stamina Drain of 6 when you first get it.
Stamina Drain can be lowered by increasing your Mastery of your Transformation. Which brings us to...
Transformation Mastery:
For every turn that you have your Transformation active, you gain 1 Experience.
For example, you activate Super Saiyan, and you maintain it for that one whole post, and as a result of having completed that post within that Transformation, you gain 1 Experience.
Simple, right? Once you increase your EXP to 40/40, Super Saiyan is increased to Level 2.
This reduces the Stamina Drain to 5 per turn, instead of 6. Fully level a Transformation, and you'll have Mastered it. Removing the drain entirely!
Reaching Level 1 40/40 does not equal Starting Level 2 at 40/80! You start from 0/80.
Currently, there are no bonuses for Transformation EXP Gains. That doesn't mean that won't change in the future, however...
First Time Activation:
When you activate your Transformation for the first time, a buff is activated called "Adrenaline". What this does is negate the Stamina Drain the Transformation would otherwise have for a limited time.
Adrenaline lasts for 2 turns. After that, your Stamina begins to drain normally.
Adrenaline does not activate again after the very first time you activate your Transformation. So make note of that!
Flavored Transformations:
Finally... Your Transformations can be flavored! What does that mean?
Well, for example. We'll once again go over Saiyans, you'll note that their first Transformation is "Oozaru", otherwise known as the 'Giant Ape' form that Goku, Vegeta, and Gohan all used early on in the series. This is the default we have provided. But, what if you don't want to use it?
You can customize it! You can change this Transformation to be "False Super Saiyan". Mechanically, it will offer the exact same boost as Oozaru does, but the cosmetics will be different.
This is also relevant for if you wish to change higher tiers. If you want to be a Legendary Super Saiyan? Go right ahead!
Don't like Golden Oozaru and Super Saiyan 4? Change them!
As a final note, however. Don't use God Forms. Anything else is fair game! All we ask is that you keep it fairly in line with the series, and sensible.
(No Pure Humans turning into Super Saiyans, for example)
