What's that?
Simple! Solo Counters are what we use to keep track of how many Solos you have written per week. You can be rewarded for 3 solos per week. When a Solo has been posted, you'll be graded for it when you turn it in, and then you'll be given a number and a date.
For example, if you post a thread on 1/21/2021, you would be given this notification along with your grade:
"Your Solo Counter is 1/3 and will reset on 1/28/2021"
If you post another solo before that reset, then it will be 2/3, and so on.
What does that mean?
It means that Solos are graded differently from normal threads. We don't want people to only write solos. It's not very fun. Roleplaying is a group effort; and while there are inevitably moments that your character has to face alone, there are plenty more that are about them interacting with other people and accomplishing something in public.
If you want to restrict who can join and when, you can tag your thread with "Ask to Join" or "Private". Ultimately, however, RP is about collaborating with other people. You'll find it's way more enjoyable than just writing a novel; something that you don't need an RP forum to do that and nothing else.
As a final note, Solos will always give you the least amount of reward possible for grading.
This exact number will vary, but it's the minimum range. You will open up a much wider range for grading by having even just one other person in your thread. So, get out there and have fun roleplaying! And if you need to write a solo or two, you know what to expect!
