The Planet Trade Organization spans many generations, being a business that has existed for so long that no one can even truly remember when it first started. Rumor has it that it existed before even Age 500; but anyone that could know for certain is long gone. And the Organization itself has seen so many tumultuous moments that it is unlikely the truth could be easily found. What is true however, is that they were the bread and butter of the Cold Family Legacy. King Cold, Cooler, and especially Frieza are all names that are typically associated with the Planet Trade Organization; and not without reason, mind you.

The Organization was, at one point, referred to as little more than "The Frieza Force". And when the Space Tyrant made a sudden return, they were once again brought into line as his personal stock of soldiers. The efforts of Yamiko brought all of that to an end, however. And what she could not personally reach, the Knights of Yama acted as her hands. However, the largest of the changes came from when an alien race stepped into the helm; the Salamanders.

With this strange race now commanding the Organization, widespread changes began, and they shifted from the business of planetary trading to keeping the peace. At one point, it was even headed by a Council. However... The Planet Trade Organization eventually fell into complete shambles, as it was soon decided that it's role in keeping the peace was no longer necessary.

While the Organization is technically still around, it is little more than a shadow of it's former self, barely even having remnants to call it's own. It has also faced difficulty even to this very day, as rumors began to spread that they were the ones behind the assassinations of the Knights of Yama.

The Organization staunchly denied all of these allegations, however. And some of the members even opted to work with the people just to find the culprit. However, it was eventually ruled that despite having a possible motive, they didn't have the power to act upon such a thing.

With no Leaders, the Organization is... Really little more than just for show at this point. While some still respect and even fear what they're capable of, they're hardly a governing power outside of the most loyal regions. Some do question why they're around when they have only caused problems in recent memory, leading to a very tense atmosphere in certain parts of space...
