He has a green tattoo on his forehead that resembles a diamond within a sun and green diamonds on the palms of his hands(their purpose is unknown).
He wears a sleeveless jacket with a high neckline that is siver with gold decals along the collar resembling ancient alien letters and on the back is the image of a moon overlayed with the sun. He also has baggy silver pants with gold shooting star decals on the lower pants leg.
History:
As a member of an ancient slow aging race with an important duty, Angol Rhamun spent several centuries growing up, being drilled on training his abilities, learning the criteria of a world's path in where it's fate leads, and the history of his race. He is empathetic towards the races he interacts with, but he sees his duty as a sacred call to keep the universe full of positive potential, thus he sets his emotions aside when it comes time to pass judgement. He's visited several planets in the past, but his most recent warning was sent to a man named Nostradamus who may have imbelished the contents of the message a bit(or a lot) and due to his lack of ability to tell time, he arrives several decades later then planned to investigate the world known as Earth(While still under the assumption that he arrived early). On arrival he went about his duty of judging the natives ability to better themselves and the way they take care of their own world and by extension the future worlds they could migrate to. That said he is not a malicious being. He is willing to let survivors escape with the message to care for their new world engraved deep in their hearts for fear of his return. Angol Rhamun was raised with the belief that his job was a necessary role in upkeeping the universe, and he has never questioned that. He has spent most of his time in space between worlds. And while he has never spent more then a handful of years on a single world, he has been inpacted by the lives he has interacted with, even if he rarely shows his personal feelings.(Maybe because his job is easier with him being emotionally distant?) While Angol feel emotions similar to any other race, they are taught that personal feelings are always secondary to the truths they uphold and the universe they try to protect. Angol Rhamun is not so different. After visiting dozens of worlds he still holds this core belief, and yet...
Family: Angol Brothe Mother: Angol Meed, Sibling: N/A
Home world: Planet Angolí Capita
Starting planet: Earth
Home Town: Celes Town
Race Bonuses:
Adaptive:
The many races that make up this universe aren't static, and much like humans can be found on a wide variety of worlds not just surviving, but thriving. With this racial, when an alien is on a world separate from their home world, they gain a 1% bonus to defense per turn while in combat up to a cap of 10%.
[Effect does not apply outside of combat]
Blank Slate:
"Alien" is a term that applies to so many different races across the universe, all with their own unique traits and pliable physiques. Because aliens are a true blank slate decided by the individual, those with this racial may choose two extra techniques at start, and acquire one extra technique for every PL threshold unlock.
[Hybrids choosing this racial start with one extra technique rather than two]
Roleplay Example:
It's a beautiful clear night at Beansprout Island. There's a meteor shower over head and countless twinkling stars. Among the falling rocks there's a trail that suddenly changes course upon entry. What at first appears to be just another meteor slows and seems to stop just over the water. The air cools around it to reveal a person standing in the air, just over the waves.
"Hmm... Is this the place?"
He slowly floats over to the nearest land mass.
He noticed a person on the beach gazing back at him.
"Oh? Hello there. Can you tell me if this is the planet called... E-arth? I may have taken a wrong turn entering North Galaxy... (>_>) But I think I got it right this time. Haha"
The Mechanic was enjoying a nice relaxing night on the beach stargazing with her new telescope!
"Wow...I caught the meteor shower just in time! Lookit those things!"
It was all amazing seeing the twinkling lights in the sky, watching the meteors shooting across the horizon, seeing the...Slow moving...Rock....Coming this way?!
"hey what gives?! Rocks don't curve in their trajectory!"
The "meteor" came to a stop in front of her, but that wasn't a meteor at all, that was a person!
"Yo! How'd you do that?! That was rad!!!"
she scratches her head as she listens to him asking such a strange question...Was this...YARTH? Well no, no it wasn't yarth.
"Nope! Sorry I dunno any Yarths. This is Beansprout island!"
"Oh? That? Well... It's not hard to do. I flew by changing gravity around myself so that I always fall where I want to go. It's pretty easy with enough training. Any Angol can figure it out."
His stomach growls
"This is embarrassing, but I'm kinda hungry. If you don't mind showing to a local diner? Also... A place with a cosmic charter? I'm looking for this planet that's in the middle of nowhere... I had a message sent ahead, but I've never been there myself. "
he scratches his chin while looking to the side
"Oh yeah. My name's Angol Rhamen. And you are?"
"Gravity control...That's pretty impressive! I've never seen anyone do that! I've gotta keep that in mind..."
The girl takes a notebook out of her satchel and begins to write into it frantically, mumbling to herself about complex math...The sound of his stomach draws her attention away for a second. Long enough for him to ask where he could find a place to eat.
"Oh uh...We don't have any diners on Beansprout. But I know where you can get some food! Follow me!"
The elfen girl sits up from her spot on the beach and begins to slowly walk uphill towards a home at the top
"Angol Rhamen huh? So you're named after your race? My name's Ayami! I'm gonna be the greatest martial artist some day! Did you come from the sky??? We don't really get many visitors from THAT direction. They usually just come by boat."
"Sounds good! Let's go!"
He starts fallowing Ayami inland.
"I'm not real huge on martial arts per say, but I can defend myself. That said, best of luck Ayami."
The trip up the mountain is rather uneventful, but the young inventor fills the time with tons of stories and anecdotes, she had a million questions too!
"So where are you from anyway? I've never met a...Angol before! Mostly just humans and saiyans. What kinda food do you like? My Gramma makes great stir fry! I think she said she was cooking it tonight in fact...That'll fill you up I bet! Why are you lookin' for this "yarth" anyway? Is it important? Are ya home sick maybe? I get home sick sometimes but then I get back home and it's all better."
"I'm from Planet Angolí Capita. You see, my race keep the universe from falling into a self destructive trend by... Cleaning up the races who can't even take care of their own planet... Their own birthplace. Because if they are dead set on a trend of self destructive greed, it's safer for the universe at large if their worlds are quickly reset. All the poison and corruption removed and the land set up so new races can cultivate their lives. ... I'm pooking for E-Arth because it started down a self destructive spiral. And it's my job to judge whether the people can change, or if they can't see past their own Avarice."
sigh "I wish my job wasn't necessary. But as long as there's people who refuse to be reasoned with, there must be those who are willing to clean up the mess..."
"To answer your last question, ... No. I'm not home sick. I spent my first millennium home, and then my second training under my father. I will eventually see home again, and time doesn't affect me the way it does others..."
"Angoli Capita..."
The elfen mused aloud as they walked.
"I'll have to visit some day! It sounds neat!"
She listened as he explained his role in this universe, Ayami furrowed her brow as he did so, not because she was angry at him, rather because she found it curious in a troubling way.
"And what if even just one person is good? Then what? If you don't like your job...It always helps to look at it from a new perspective."
She grins brightly looking at him before continuing to speak
"Well it's good you're not homesick! You must be pretty old huh? oh! We're almost there!"
"Yeah. It's not that I don't "like my job" but rather that it saddens me that it's necessary. If only people put the needs of their worlds which gave them life, before small momentary convenience... Maybe if there were enough people who would write the message on their hearts and act for a better tomorrow, rather then sacrificing all their tomorrows for today..."
"Anyway, this is your home?"
"Well."
The inventor continued as she reached the top of their climb
"Maybe you just aren't looking in the right place?"
She stepped over to the front door. It was a beautiful home in traditional japanese architecture. A statue by the door was of a large woman, clearly designed to be a protector over the home. Ayami turned to face it and gave a humble bow before turning back to the front door
"OIIIIII! GRAMMA I'M HOME! I brought a visitor!!!"
A thumping noise slowly approached the door before it slid open to reveal an old woman walking with a cane. She looked up at Ramuhne
"Hello there. And who might you be?"
"Hello there. My name is Angol Rhamun. Nice to meet you."
he politely bows his head
"I'm guessing you are Ayami's guardian."
The old woman gave him a bow in return before speaking
"Yes, I am her grandmother. A pleasure to meet you."
Ayami grins, looking down at her grandma!
"So!!! He needs a place to eat! We can help right?! I'll cook myself if I have to!"
The old woman immediately interrupts the younger girl, shaking her head vigorously
"By the patron deity NO Ayami. The last time you tried cooking you destroyed my oven!"
"Hehe"
he lightly chuckles
"I don't mean to be a bother. If it's not to much trouble, could I have something to drink? It feels like it's been years since I last had something good to drink."
Aya gives him a nod, motioning for both of them to step inside
"Your timing couldn't be more fortunate. I just finished brewing some tea. I hope you like green tea."
Grandmother and Granddaughter both walk down the hallway before reaching a door which opened up into a sitting room. The home was...Nice . Simple in design but well cared for. It had a naturally welcoming aura about it.
As both women took their seats at a table in the middle of the room, the grandmother waited for Rhamune to take a seat before speaking
"So, you said your name is Angol...What is it that brings you to our home?"
Aya began pouring tea into three cups, serving them out calmly as she waited for a response
"I was just a bit lost. I'm looking for a planet named E-Arth(?). You see it's my job travel to various planets to inspect their growth and to see whether or not their locals are on a self destructive path..."
he looks at his cup briefly before sipping its contents
"... This is good! It reminds me of the sap from a Pura Pura Flower back home."
he then quickly downs the rest of his tea
"Anyway... I'm looking at this would named E-Arth next. And potentially need to pass intervention."
The matriarch of the household raised an eyebrow inquisitively
"E-arth hmm? You wouldn't happen to mean Earth, would you?"
She took a quiet sip of her tea before continuing to speak
"And what exactly does this intervention involve?"
Ayami poured copius amounts of sugar into her tea before she spoke up too.
"Nah Gramma, I'm pretty sure he's looking for Yarth! This is Earth."
The old woman gave an exasperated sigh at her granddaughter's antics
"...Right."
"Oh? Is that what it's called? (Takes a mental to hit the Seer next time he goes home) It seems I made it to the correct planet this time. Ahem"
he clears his throat
"It is and always has been the duty of my people to judge the people's actions and whether or not they can learn to better their treatment of their own world, before they become an inter galactic race. Because a race that is willing to destroy their own world in to satisfy a bottomless greed, then they'd of course continue this behavior on all the other worlds they come across."
The old woman nods solemnly
"Peace sadly does not mean a lack of evil. I can't say I disagree with your assessment. Even still...Should we not judge ourselves? My family has been protecting this island for centuries with no personal gain. If you stayed around Beansprout for even just a single day I think you'll witness the positives Earth has to offer to the universe."
Ayami grins as she listens to her grandmother speak. She interjected with her own words
"That's true! Everyone here is basically like another member of our family! I think you'd love to meet them all Angol!"
"Hmm. It's true that I sense no evil or ill serving greed from you. Unfortunately I must see for myself the actions of the world at large in order to make my decision. Of course I don't believe the entire race is beyond hope. But there must be enough people to help guide future generations towards a mutual growth, rather then leaving an unanswered call for change that is forgotten in time."
"At this point I have not decided either way. That is why I am hear to view your race for myself. As to the topic of self judgement... Few races is trule objective of unbiased on the topic of their actions and what's right or wrong. People tend to skew things into a positive light regardless of their actions and the repercussions, because few races are willing to step back and see themselves as they are, rather then what they wish to be. Everyone wants to be on the moral high ground and to be the good guys, while they commit horrible actions that harm their neighbors, the lifeforms that are necessary for maintaining the ecological balance of the world, and even directly poison the air that everyone breathes, the water that hold most planet born lifeforms, and at the cost of their own lives, just to have short term comforts."
"That said, I am willing to give worlds time to change if I see that change is moving towards a better path."
The old woman gave him a solemn nod
"It's an unfortunate truth. I suppose with that in mind I can't really interfere in your judgement. Just know that if you intend to bring harm to my home I will defend it. I swore an oath to my ancestors and the patron deity herself that I would defend Earth."
... The serious feelings lingered in the air for a moment before Aya finally clapped her hands, standing up from her seat.
"That being said. I will prepare a meal for you. Please wait just a moment."
"I understand..."
he says rather solemnly
"Anyway... The food smells delicious."
Ayami smiled at Rhamune, giving a cheery nod.
"Right?! It's always great! Oh do you ever use tech?! I invent lots of things!!! I'll have to show you some!"
"Sure. I'd like to see what you made. And the food was delicious."
"Great!!! Come down to my workshop later and I'll show you everything I've created!"
