Renko is a proud Saiyan who loves martial arts and wants to do some good in this universe. He likes training to get stronger and fighting strong opponents, something that is common in the Saiyan Race. He loves training and sparring with others, testing their strength and seeing how he compares to them. He is caring and kind to most, though will not be very forgiving to those who threaten to harm others needlessly or for their own personal gain such as greed or power. He wants to become the best that he can be, and that doesn't just include being the strongest. He wants to improve every single day and strives to do that, whether it be for his character or his strength. He seeks to help others and protect the weak from those who would prey on them. He tries to be self reliant, hating the idea of depending on someone to deal with his own problems. He believes true strength lies in your independence, and that needing other's aid is a sign of weakness. He puts himself on a higher standard than those around him and while that means he will be more than willing to help those in need and those closest to him, he wouldn't want those same actions being to done towards him. He will not ask for help and will even outright refuse it as a result.

While Renko may not be super bulky and jacked, he is still muscular and toned despite being kind of slim. He has caucasian skin with spikey black hair complete with a bang that comes down in front of his forehead. He has a black furry tail, as many saiyans do, that he often keeps wrapped around his waist, covering his belt. Renko does have a habit of unraveling of his tail when angry or excited, as he gets more in touch with his primal saiyan rage and letting his tail flow freely in the air feels more natural. He typically wears blue saiyan armor, though its model is different than what some might be familiar with. Instead of the typical standard issue, shoulder padded armor most wear, he has blue armor that mainly protects his chest, forearms, waist, and lower leg regions. Under this armor, he has a black, short sleeved onesie with shorts. He has some small, visible scars on his legs, arms, and cheeks from training and sparring. While they aren't gigantic, gruesome battle scars, if someone were an experienced fighter themselves it would be easy to tell that Renko has experience in combat if their attention was called to them.
History:
Family: Father: Takao Mother: Coli
Home world: Patch
Starting planet: Earth
Home Town: Vidalia Village
Renko was born on Planet Patch in Vidalia Village, towards the outskirts of the Saiyan Empire, but still very much apart of it. Even at such a young age, he had to practically teach himself how to fight through the Tri-Monthly tournaments that took place. His father always encouraged him to get stronger and become the strongest fighter he could be, and to never settle for less. Renko took this heart, and would often train day in and day out to get better. While he was often knocked out during the first round of the first few rounds he participated in, each loss became a teachable moment. Over time, he was able learn from his mistakes and hone in his own skills. The first time he made it pass the first round, he realized just how much he enjoyed combat. Once he tasted victory, he wanted to keep fighting stronger and stronger opponents and to keep improving.
After improving his skills continuously as he grew up, Renko became a formidable opponent for someone his age. While he didn't win the last competition he was in, he did make one of the top spots. After this, he was approached by his father and was told that it was time to step up. Renko was determined to do better in the next tournament and expressed his desire to win to his father, though it turned out that that wasn't what he was referring to. Renko was told that it was time to enlist in the Imperial Army. He was caught off guard initially by this, but after thinking about it he realized he shouldn't have been surprised.
In the last few tournaments, Renko began to see less and less of the contestants that he'd usually see since they'd be going off to the Imperial Army as well. He should've known that it was only a matter of time before it was his turn. Nervous, but still excited for where this opportunity could take him, Renko enlisted into the Imperial Army at the age of 17. He was sent off to the military bases where he start to build his career within the army.
The first few months were definitively something he had to get used to. There was a giant chasm between the skill of soldiers and the comparatively amateur-level combat that went on in those competitions, and it was a big wake up call for Renko. He was playing catch up from day one, and the more he learned, the more realized how much he didn't know. He had to train very hard and had a hard time on his first few missions. On top of that, the mentality was different. Before, he fought for fun and for himself. Now, whenever he had to fight in a real combat situation, he was fighting for others as well. He was protecting the innocent from these malicious forces too and failure had actual consequences this time. It was stressful at first, but he learned to get used to it. In fact, it only motivated him more to get stronger.
At the age of 19, the second year of being in the Imperial Army closing out, Renko had gotten used to being a soldier for Planet Patch. He had improved his skills greatly, and had come a long way from where he started years ago when he first stepped into the tri-monthly competitions. His parents were proud of him, and believed that he was going to go on to do great things in the world. Renko still had a long way to go, but he believed he could make the trip. That's when tragedy struck.
The King of Planet Patch was assassinated out of seemingly nowhere. The event shook everyone to their core. Renko couldn't even believe it when he heard it. He though the King of all people were practically untouchable. No one could find out who did it, and without someone to lead them, civilization quickly began to crumble. Not to mention that there was now a power vacuum, and one way or another someone was going to have to fill it. There were many questions but no one had any answers. As a member of the Imperial Army, Renko was angered that someone would dare have the audacity to commit such a heinous act on the Saiyan People. For a month afterwards, entering Renko's third year as a soldier, the Imperial Army does what it can without a King, but things are starting to look dire.
Eventually Earth's cry for help reached Planet Patch. Having risen through the ranks over the years, Renko was qualified to be sent to Earth to help protect them. He was excited, as he had never left the planet before and wondered what it would be like on other planets. However, he was also very determined, knowing that the same thing that happened to the Saiyan People might happen to Earth as well. It was his responsibility to defend people from those who sought to do great harm to others, and Renko felt that duty extended outside of Planet Patch as well. Who knows, maybe the people who are threatening Earth are connected to the assassination of their King. There was no way of knowing at the moment, but there was no way he was going to get anything sitting here and watching everything the Saiyans have built fall apart while he waited for some miracle to happen. He was sent to Earth along with the other Traditionalist Saiyans, hoping to play his part in saving lives.

Roleplay Example:
Renko looked into the stars, standing next to his Saiyan Pod. He looked to his left and to his right and saw other soldiers that were members of the Imperial Army it was that time. Some of the pods were already beginning to take off. Renko thought to himself that he'd better hurry up before he got left behind. He had already said his goodbyes to his parents, though it was more like a "see you later". He was there to protect Earth and stop these evildoers before it was too late. After that, he'd back here before everyone knew it.
Renko opened up the pod, sitting inside of it and getting settled in before having it close in front of him. He started up the ship and felt it lift off the ground and get ready for take off. He looked outside the big window in front of him, and soon he kind of just zoned out and started to think. This would be the first time for a lot of things for him: Space travel, being on another planet, interacting with other species, fighting what was potentially a galaxy level enemy, and who knows what else. It didn't feel like it at the moment, but this mission sounded like it could be very dangerous.
He wondered who these people could be, and what their plans truly were. Who are they? What was their motive? Are there a lot of them or just one? Are he/she/they strong? He sighed in frustration, not liking the uncertainty of all of this. Hopefully, he'd be able to get more details once he arrived on Earth. Until then, he was just going to have be patient. His mind wandered back to the state of the Planet Patch. Over the course of this month, the initial panic has calmed down, but their home is still becoming more and more a shadow of its former self. Whoever killed the King must've really hated him to not to care about what would happen to the Empire he ruled afterwards. The King's assassination had always bothered Renko. Whenever he thought about it, the more it felt like there had to be more to the whole situation. It's been over a month since the King was killed, and no one's even come to try claim the throne since. Not once. Renko expected whoever killed their leader would take the charge, but that didn't happen at all.
In fact, nothing happened. No message, no further attack, nothing. Did the assailant just decided that he was going to walk in, take his life, and walk out? Nothing else? It was almost as if the killer just wanted to see a civilization crumble before their eyes, which only made Renko angry. Could anyone be so heartless? Their had to be more to the story, right?
Renko shook his head, breaking himself out of his own head and stared at the empty void of space as the pod went further and further away from their home. Maybe he should just... let it go? If something was going to happen, surely it would've happen by now right? While the full story was never uncovered, maybe it was just some sick individual who wanted to screw over their whole Empire. Evidence was never found of anything, and at this rate they'll never find out who did it. Recently, Renko's been starting to think that maybe they're starting to beat a dead horse? Maybe it was time to just focus on rebuilding and getting back to where they were and try to prevent something like this from ever happening again.
He wasn't sure, it never felt right just letting this criminal get away with this. They had to find whoever did this and bring him to justice. Right? Who knows. For now though, he was going to have to think about this after this whole situation is over, because right now people's lives were in danger. He had to focus on the mission: Protect Earth.
