The sky was shining down on the beautiful, and Strangely named Satan City. The weather in recent days had been unkind and unrelenting in its heatwave, bearing down the people with a wicked glee. Or, that's how most people probably pictured it. Impo on the other hand, thought it was quite lovely. The Kai appeared out of thin air, materializing high above the concrete jungle. He floated in the sky, looking down at the world below him. He didn't think he had been away from the Earth for that long, only a century or two, but already everything seems to be different. He looked down at all the humans below him, almost looking like ants from this height. He laughed, as he let himself fall.
A rush of air whipped his hair around, as he screamed out in delight. It was a mundane pleasure, but the thrill was there. It was a rush he could enjoy every now and again, like a special greeting to a planet he arrives on. He sees a tall building that he;s quickly approaching, and moves himself towards it. Slowing down his decent, he lands atop the skyscraper, taking in the view of the city from a different angle. So many tall buildings, tall enough to obscure his view of the horizon. The humans certainly weren't lacking in ambition, advancing so quickly that it's almost scary. It feels like it was just yesterday that they were still living in huts, huddling around fires for warmth.
Impo felt a bead of sweat form on his brow. Well, on a day like this, no one would want to be anywhere near an open flame. The Kai decided it was about time to try and find some humans to help out, enough sightseeing. He changed his clothing to a blue shirt with short sleeves, and gym shorts, and sneakers. He then hopped off the massive structure. Impo decided to create a blue umbrella, with large while polka dots. He used it to give off the appearance of floating gently down to the ground was because of it. And because it was more than a little funny. It took him a few minutes longer, but it was worth it to lollygag just that little bit longer, before doing some good for the Earth.

"I told yah'... I didn't do it!" The thug would bark at Detective Nexus who was sitting behind a cop car while in some hand restraints. The woman leaned down and eyed the man with a smirk. "Oh yeah? Why is it that when the other officers searched your belongings they found out you had that old lady's purse... IN YOUR PANTS?" Shooting a rather sharp point to the man sitting now behind the cop car. "I... I..." she slammed the cop car's door on him before he could even say a word and turn to the other officers. "He's guilty as can be. Make sure he's listed as violent in his booking. The fact he could hurt an old lady is sickening," to which the officers nodded and carried him off. Another evil crook off the street. At least this place was a little more safer now.
After watching the car drive off with sirens lighting up, she'd sigh in relief and check her watch to see what the time was... "Six... O... clock... And now my weekend begins... What a day today has been," and oh it has been quite the day! Brawling with that dude, getting involved in a shooting, helping a boy find his father, etc. It surely was a long and busy day. What was the best thing to do on your day off? DRINKING! Oh and the detective knew exactly what to do. Taking her badge off she walked off to the nearest bar she always went to... The Deep Blue! A ocean themed bar to be exact.
As she walked in, she placed her jacket up and walked over to the bar. Her handgun was strapped to her leg as she slowly sat down at the bar, the bartender walking over to greet her. "Ahhhh, my first customer! Yes, yes, yeees... Hello again detective. Your usual?" The young lady would nod and tap the bar table a few times, "Please don't forget the lemons this time with them... You know I like squeezing lemons with my oysters,"
Indeed, the mood was now calming and soothing. There wasn't anyone but her in the bar besides the employees. She had a long and rough day on the job. She likes to be here when no one's here. Once the place starts becoming more alive she'll consider walking home by that point. However, as of now the scenery was calming. A nice cold dark lager would slide across in front of her as she smirked and drank some delicious beer. Bitter as usual but sweet to her tongue. Ah, tonight was going to be sweet.

[Thread PL: 100 (Currently being suppressed down to 20 PL)] A bright, sunny... ... Overly hot day in Satan city. Sabine didn't particularly care for the weather in this part of the continent, but she supposed it wasn't the WORST weather she had ever experienced. She had toured a lot of backwater planets with absolutely horrid weather patterns. Like Frieza planet 419. Nobody ever goes to Frieza planet 419...Setting the weather aside however, she was here on official business. Satan city and the surrounding towns were placed under her jurisdiction for patrols, and today was her shift in Satan City. Really, her goal was obvious but... How exactly was she supposed to find an assassin? They didn't exactly wear neon signs advertising their skills. They probably didn't even have a dress code. Finding a single purported assassin in a massive city like this wasn't just like looking for a needle in a haystack...It was like looking for a thumbtack in a jungle. Not that she had any experience in that kind of absurd task of course. She and the two saiyan soldiers following her lead passed right by Impo, seemingly unphased by his odd method of landing. Though to be fair that's partially because she's seen a lot of weird things before. The two soldiers however... Were giving each other looks of confusion as they passed by him, both silently conversing to one another about "Street performers" or something. She shook her head, smiling."Boys, these Earthlings are simply like that. They're very...Unique, I suppose."She chuckles lightly, trying to open up friendly banter with the two soldiers under her command today. Though naturally given her reputation back on Patch, they were a little more than afraid to say the wrong things. As the patrol continued on, Sabine caught sight of a familiar face. It was that officer from the other day who found her son, looks like Nexus was heading into a bar? Well... Sabine had been patrolling all morning, and under this heat wave... She could use a few minutes out of the sun. She stopped in her tracks, motioning for the other two to stop as well."You've both earned a short break. Please go find somewhere cool to wait for me for a moment. I have business to attend to before I can continue my patrol!""But, Commander... What if the assassin sneaks up on you?" The two soldiers were clearly a little concerned about splitting up given how much they had heard tales of this mysterious deadly assassin who managed to kill countless powerful warriors, they pleaded with her to let them come along for her safety. After all they didn't want to be responsible for their CO getting offed on some off-world assignment. But Sabine gave them both a reassuring calm smile, patting them both on their heads and ruffling their hair."I will be perfectly fine, I assure you! I've been through far worse. I simply have to thank someone for a favor they did for me, then I'll be back! Please wait for me."Though they didn't exactly want to leave her on her own, the pair of soldiers finally relented after she gave them a trustworthy, motherly smile like that. How could they really say no? She gave them both a wave goodbye and headed through the door into the "Deep Blue". The two soldiers left to their own devices decided simply to sit in the shade and watch Impo the..."Street performer" with some great level of curiosity. Meanwhile The decor inside the Deep Blue was...Interesting, that was one thing she could say at least. She gave a calm look around, it was quiet, relaxed... She smiled, it was a setting she could definitely get behind. She walked up to the bar just as Nexus finished ordering her things, and Sabine proceeded to place zenny on the bar."Allow me to cover the cost, Bartender."She gave Nexus a short wave, smiling to her."I hope I'm not intruding on your day off, but I wanted to thank you for what you and that younger girl did the other day. Keeping my son safe...I am grateful. Ah, I certainly hope he wasn't any trouble for you! He's a very sweet little boy, but he can be a handful..."She laughs to herself, speaking from experience about Kabucha being a lot to take care of. Sabine took a seat next to Nexus, but raised her hand as the bartender came up to her, she shook her head as well to make it clear she didn't need anything."My apologies. A drink is certainly tempting after everything that's been happening lately, but... I simply shouldn't. I'm on duty at the moment, it wouldn't exactly be becoming of a commanding officer to become inebriated on the job now would it?"Sabine chuckles softly once more, greatly amused by this human bar. It was...Certainly a lot nicer in shape than a saiyan bar, that was for certain. She would have to remember this place for another time."Really, if it hadn't been for you officer I...Suppose I wouldn't know what I would have done. He really can't help himself, he's like his father was. He enjoys taking in his surroundings. But I...Can't afford to let anything happen to my Kabu. What kind of mother would I be if I simply let him get hurt? Or worse..."Her face was full of guilt as she said these things, clearly she took her mistake from the other day very seriously. Kabucha was her only son, her flesh and blood. She felt as though she had done something horrible, letting him get away from her in a place like this. Though she shook her head lightly, her soft smile soon returning.

As the Kai landed, he had to admit, it was a fair bit more muggy than it had been atop a building, with much less airflow and whatnot. Slinging his umbrella over his shoulder, he pondered what to do next, tapping his chin with his fingers as he did so. He looked around for anything interesting in the area. He had traveled quite a bit from where it first touched down, and could see that he was across the road from some place called.... The Deep Blue, if his memory of the language was correct. Sadly, he was lacking in Earth currency at the moment, so he would have to abstain from the building for now.
Something that did catch his attention, however, was a pair of Sayin's staring at him from outside of that building. What a curious thing it was to see a pair of Sayins on Earth. Maybe that was the norm these days? They had curious expressions on their faces, as if they were expecting him to do something worth watching. They weren't the only ones, as he could see at least several more humans watching him. He smiled warmly at the attention. Well, if it was a show they wanted, who was he to say no? He chuckled mischievously at the thought. He started spinning the umbrella on his shoulder, before twisting in in his grasp and pointing it to the sky.
"Ladies and gentlemen! Who wants a magic trick?" He yells aloud, twisting snapping the parasol shut, before bringing the tip to the ground and leaning on it. He taps his foot against the ground a couple of times, before the sidewalk he was standing on started to shake and shudder. Not a moment later, the concrete split open, as a small tree burst into the air, and Impo was launched a dozen feet into the sky. From top to bottom, it was maybe ten feet tall, but was horribly disproportionate. The trunk, the three feet of it that could be seen, was maybe four feet thick, while the other seven feet was covered in dense leaves, and coated in dozens of juicy red apples.
Impo gracelessly fell into the leaves, knocking down more than a few of the delicious fruit. The tree shook for a few seconds, before the tree stood still. There was a pregnant pause in the air, anticipation building, waiting for the strange man to reemerge. But, he never did. Or, at least that's what it looked like. "Oh man, I wonder how long he's gonna be in there?" The two sayins heard from behind them. If they turned around, they'd see the weird man standing behind them, umbrella opened on his shoulder once more. "Hello gentlemen! How are you doing?" He'd ask in a pleasant tone.

The lager was so damn tasty... She hadn't a beer in like a week. It was nice for a change to have something like this. The lights were all dimmed and the music was calming. Nexus had a long and rough week, as she messed with her hair she had to get it just right... Ah screw it! She didn't need to put her hair up again, especially being in a place where no one was around. As she fumbled with her hair, she finally gets the chance to brush it out a little with her nails. The results are shocking.
"Hadn't had my hair like this in awhile..." It had been about a minute since she had her hair down. It was a nice change of things. As she finished her order though, a familiar voice was heard behind her... It was that motherly saiyan Ms. Sabine! Upon hearing her voice, Nexus quickly jumped up and immediately leaned forward to bow to her. "Ms. Sabine...! You completely caught me by surprise! I'm sorry... I just got off my shift! I really wasn't expecting you so suddenly, forgive me!" Nexus was very apologetic for Sabine. The young detective had a lot of respect for her, after all she did make sure her son was safe after all. Despite her not being under Sabine, she still wanted to show her a huge amount of respect for her. It was all in her nature anyways. "H-Hey...! Mr. Bobo, don't listen to her.. Allow me to cover whatever she wants!" the woman making that firm towards him as he seemed confused... He just walked away afterwards. Sighing in relief, she slowly sat back down.. "Ma'am, you're not intruding my day at all... I just got off after having a long and rough day. I feel bad because I was putting my hair up but gave up so I left it like this. I'm terribly sorry you have to see me like this," feeling embarrassed about this. Nexus would take a large gulp in stress from what's going on. Yeah, it was stressing her out to have a notable figure of command come in here. Still, she'd hear about Hono and that's where she'd speak her mind... "Yeah.. The girl was being genuine but I really wish she wouldn't say stupid stuff in front of your son... Saying the word 'damn' in front of him... Was very embarrassing."Noises were being heard outside... Nexus would block them out however. Sabine would speak about having a drink but having no time for it as she was on her job. Nexus would nod, "I understand, I understand... Like I said, I just got off myself so I'm absolutely beat. I appreciate you offering the freebie on the meal but I'm honestly good... Your son's safety is part of my job and just who I am. I don't like seeing kids getting scared or... well... He wasn't scare but you get my point. When I was about his age, my father used to abuse me because he thought my mother died because of me... Rough way to start life but I would never want a kid to go through what I went through,"The detective saw her smile fade for a moment which made her frown a bit, "Like I said Ms. Sabine, it was no problem at all... Sometimes kids will be kids and he was just being like his dad. You've got yourself a good kid. I hope one day he becomes just as respected and bold as you, ma'am." The detective gulped another mouth full of lager, nearly finishing her drink. She starts to think on the back of her mind if she's some sort of damn alcoholic like her damn dad... Who the hell knows? More noises were being heard outside! Nexus stood up lightly, "Just what is all that racket outside?! Is there some sort of clown outside making a ruckus?!" The human slowly walked over to the door, "Excuse me for a moment, ma'am... I need to find out who's causing such a ruckus.." She opens the door and pokes her head out, finding the odd Impossible performing some magic stuff or something. The young lady would close the door, "That man's got some nerves to be so loud!" She began sliding her jacket back on, obviously she can't catch a break. "Ms. Sabine... Please, get yourself at least something to eat. Have Mr. Bobo have your order over mines so you can get it and go... I've gotta take care of this," to which she'd step out for a moment. Approaching Impossible, the detective would point her finger out. "Hey, you! Stop right there! You need to cease your actions immediately at this once!"The detective was not amused.

Post by Sabine on Jul 25, 2020 8:51:22 GMT
The two saiyan soldiers stationed outside of the Deep Blue were...Well, really it was a mixture of amazement and terror, watching this man who was believed to be nothing more than a simple street magician begin to grow trees from the paved street right in front of them. They watched Impo, their guard raised as they began to realize this was far more than just a simple performer...
Meanwhile, inside the Deep Blue...
Sabine was taken by surprise when Nexus suddenly jumped out of her chair and began bowing to the saiyan woman as if she had seen a ghost or something. She felt a little bad for causing that kind of reaction for the detective. Sending her into a wild panic over being prim and proper certainly wasn't the intention for this visit! Sabine raised a hand, nervously waving it in an attempt to get Nexus to calm herself.
"No, no, Miss Proudmoore, you don't have to apologize for relaxing off-shift! I merely wanted to pay a visit to a friend!"
She looks over to Mr. "Bobo" as Nexus attempts to stop her from paying for the detective's meal. And then on top of that insisted that she would pay for something for SABINE instead. It made her rather concerned as she attempted to reason with this Bobo fellow!
"No, no Mr..."Bobo" was it? I insist. I'm merely doing a favor for a friend! Your establishment is quite nice but I'm really not hungry or thirsty in any way!"
At least Miss Proudmoore sat back down and began to relax again. That brought some relief to the saiyan commander. She smiled to Nexus as she took the seat next to her, listening to the detective speak of apologies. Honestly...She reminded Sabine of herself with these apologies. She raised a hand once more, shaking it in an insisting manner.
"Please, there's no need to be so formal around me! I'm not your superior after all. Just call me Sabi! I much prefer that."
She was glad to hear that at least she hadn't intruded on a moment of relaxation for the Earthling woman. She chuckled as Nexus apologized for her appearance of all things, she simply smiled at Nexus, shaking her head in disagreement over the "Terrible" appearance Nyx was keeping, even providing a small comment on it.
"Really? I think you look quite cute like that, Miss Proudmoore!"
She calmly teased the detective, expecting her to get quite a shock from the saiyan's words. Still, the conversation had shifted to Hono by Sabine's own volition. Her expression changed from lighthearted teasing to something far more stern and serious. It did annoy her quite a bit that her son had been exposed to such a word, but... She also didn't seem as angry as before.
"It is unfortunate...But teenagers often have trouble controlling their choice of words. I was a teenager once after all. It did take a bit of convincing to teach him that it was an adult word, and that I would tell him more about it when he was older..."
... Although knowing how overprotective she was of Kabucha, it was doubtful she would ever sit down and teach him about curse words, even if he were a fully grown adult. She certainly preferred sheltering him, for better or worse...Sabine noted the sounds as well, being sure to keep tabs on them while still holding her conversation with the detective. Loud noises were common in a big city, but with an assassin supposedly on the loose somewhere, she had to make sure that noise wasn't the sound of her soldiers being attacked.
She smiled as Nexus insisted that her son's safety was simply a matter of course and not something that was done in expectation of a reward. It still made her glad to hear that, but... This wasn't entirely done just to repay her, it was more of a kindness than an obligation for the saiyan woman. She could certainly see eye to eye on the insistence that Nexus didn't like seeing children in a bad way. Sabine was the same way honestly.
"Of course, I would do the same. Children are our future after all."
Sabine listened intently as Nexus began to explain her past. She... Gave Nyx a look of sympathy, bringing a hand to her shoulder.
"Miss Proudmoore, I had no idea...I am sorry. What a cruel man...Children cannot be blamed for actions outside of their control. No one should be. More than just doing the right thing, doing the wrong thing when it is out of our hands is not a crime. I should hope I never have to meet your father. No offense intended to you of course, I just...Have standards, I suppose."
She pondered over her own words in silence for a moment as Nexus insisted that Kabucha was really no trouble. That he was simply doing as his father would, and that he was a good kid... Those words brought a smile to her face once more as she nodded in agreement.
"Yes, I certainly hope I've raised him well enough for him to become successful in life. I would like for him to become a handsome young man with a career he is proud of. Although...I suppose many mothers want that for their children. I'm certainly not an exception."
Her thoughts were unfortunately cut short as the noise outside that she had been keeping tabs on continued to increase. What exactly was going on...?
Back outside the two saiyan soldiers continued to keep their eyes on Impo, however their guard was taken down instantly as a voice called out from behind them. Wait, behind them? But they never noticed anyone sneak up behind them! They turned around, both hopping back to get some distance from Impo. They immediately took on battle stances, riled by the shocking appearance from a spot where they couldn't defend themselves. His questions to them fell on deaf ears unfortunately... They were beyond panicked now!
"C...Commander!!! Come quickly! We've got a situation on our hands!!!!"
"Really, Miss Proudmoore, I appreciate the offer, but-"
She was cut short by the alarm from her soldiers, them calling for her immediately sent her into "Business mode". She rushed out the door, hardly waiting for Nexus to step out as she came onto the scene that was unfolding.
"Sir, I'm going to ask you to step away from my soldiers or I will be forced to take action! Your actions are being perceived as a threat, as per Earth-Patch joint alliance laws, we are authorized to use force against anyone seeking harm to us! Make your intentions clear immediately!"
... Unfortunately his harmless antics were immediately accosted by two officials simultaneously. Although Sabine couldn't have been blamed for perceiving this as a threat, especially once she sensed his ki...
"You...Your power level is absurd. If you're this assassin...If you're the one who murdered our king, I demand you make it known immediately! You are surrounded from all sides!"
"Commander, I don't think...We're strong enough for this!"
"Hold steady, I won't let harm come to you! Miss Proudmoore, I recommend calling for backup! This may well be the threat we've been patrolling for all this time! He is nothing to laugh about...Our great king was killed without so much as a single shred of evidence left behind!"
Hopefully it would become clear to Impo through her words that this was all just an unfortunate misunderstanding, but as for Sabine, she was on high alert. The only information they had to go on was that the assailant was powerful. Was he merely toying with them...?

Well... This wasn't how he expected this to go. On the outside, Impo was still wearing a smile, albeit far more nervous than it was before. Mentally, Impo was freaking right the hell out. 'OH ME, THEY CAN SENSE ME!? HOW!? WHEN!?' The Kai thought to himself, trying to figure out how a mortal could sense his Ki. Maybe they weren't mortals. Maybe they were North Kai sending people to take him back to the Kioshin realm after eight hundred years? That was practically no time at all! What could have possibly happened in such a short amount of time that she would want him back!?
But that wasn't quite right. The angry human was screaming at him, the Sayins were talking about Kings and Assassins, and now they wanted backup? He just wanted to plant trees and feed the poor and desperate! This was clearly a very delicate situation, that he would need to carefully defuse in order to avoid a confrontation. "NOBODY MOVE, I HAVE AN UMBRELLA!" He said, pointing his umbrella to the sky. He tapped the ground with his foot, and a tree with a flat top erupted from underneath him, growing to the heavens. He was standing atop the five foot wide, hundred foot tall tree, that looked more like a telephone pole. He chucked to himself.
"It's over! I have the high ground!" He yelled down to the mortals below. While de-escalating the situation was all fine and dandy, he could tell that these mortals were a bit stronger than the rest. He was interested, and wondered how strong they were. He waved his polka-doted umbrella at them. "This is the source of my power! The Mythical... uh, Parasol of.. the Ninth Dimension! Treble at its terrible power!" He yelled down, trying to goad them into reacting. He was doing his best to limit his power output, reducing it to only twenty percent above the Sayin woman's power.

Going backwards for a moment... Just why the hell was Nexus so polite to her? Yeah, it was normal for her to be polite. Too polite actually at times... However, this seemed like such a different case. Sabine was actually... fairly pretty. Fairly? She was pretty! Nexus didn't forget just doing her dang job when she met her. It was all an innocent thing until Sabine decided to reward her with stupid kiss on the dang cheek. Since then Nexus hadn't really felt the same. It was just so weird... How could she already get these feelings..? She didn't like women dang it, so what's the deal!? Throughout that whole time, she was rather at ease with Sabine. Obviously on her hands and knees to make sure she was comfortable in the bar but... Hearing Sabine mention how her hair down was cute made her face red again.. 'Dang it... Snap out of you! Quit falling for her! She's got a husband... DOESN'T SHE?!' Her face would clear up and she'd clear her throat, "Ms... Sabine. Thank you... I... I..." that's when the normal conversation they had would continue on. It was rather strange, they clicked so well. Nexus hasn't had feelings like this in a long time. Throughout the encounter, Nexus would obviously still insist on having Sabine prioritized over her when it came down to the food and all. Maybe.... She just... really had feelings for her. Maybe, a little. Sabine seemed so fair and sweet. She just had to ask her... She had to ask if she was single. If so, maybe they could do something in the future. MAYBE! Bah... The detective was getting over herself! Buuuuut... "Ms. Sabine..... I-I gotta ask you something really important.. Are you-"That's where the conversation cuts off to where it was heading towards now. The loud noise the kai made with detective stopping herself. It seemed like she finally was able to clear her thoughts there but deep down they were still there. In any case, this is where we are now. Detective Proudmoore quickly formed a ki rifle in her hands and aimed it right on the crazy man! Her eye locked on him as she immediately began to charge her rifle. "Put your hands up! PUT YOUR HANDS UP NOW!" The rifle began to suck ki from the air and into her rifle, creating a rather interesting site to behold. The detective was hearing assassins, murdered kings, and absurd power level. It surely brought her on high alert towards this guy. Sabine advised her that the detective should call in some help to which she would oblige immediately without responding to her. The detective held her weapon up while charging it, pressing against her ear for some reason. "Red Ribbon Command this is Lieutenant Nyx of the Nightstalkers, we have a possible threat far beyond our comprehension. Assemble DEATHWATCH immediately! Again, assemble DEATHWATCH now! Assemble them on my location, marked... now!"This probably sounded like Chinese to everyone around them but when that phrase is said... Something was about to erupt. Nexus slapped her own leg as if there was a purpose behind it... That was secretly actually where her body alarm was to which now every Red Ribbon army personal knew where she was. Help was on the way, the rifle was locked on Impossible. It didn't help that Impossible aimed his umbrella around like a dang weapon! "Listen here!!! Put that weapon down, right now!! I will not let you hurt anyone here! You are given a direct order to cease your disorderly actions!"The detective shot off a very harsh and stern command towards Impossible. Little did Nexus know... He was actually a god-like being... One that was way more powerful then her and everyone combined. Though hopefully if DEATHWATCH would arrive soon, that MIGHT change... The detective kept her weapon charging though, preparing to unleash all she's got on this guy. It almost seemed like he wasn't going to go anywhere anytime soon. All but a joke to him but to the rest of them, it was a very serious situation. Nexus is now charging her weapon. Turn 1 on charging!

The saiyan commander gave an exasperated sigh as she watched him do the exact opposite of what he was ordered, she began to rub her forehead, but only for a moment before staring up at him from below this tree of his. Clearly not amused in the slightest by the humor he was putting on display.
"Sir, you need to put down the umbrella, and come down here. We only need to ask you some questions."
It was becoming increasingly clear to her based on his inaction that he wasn't in fact the assassin they had been searching for. If he really were this assassin in hiding, he would have already attacked them in an effort to make an opening for himself. What this man was doing was... Throwing himself to the wolves by intentionally putting himself in a corner.
"I don't have time for this."
She focused the ki in her body and leapt onto the side of the tree, slowly climbing up towards the top. She just humored his...Attempts at a joke as she continued towards him.
"Yes yes, high ground, very amusing. If you could come down from there I can ask my friend to call off the backup."
She didn't even dignifying his statement about "Ninth dimensional umbrellas" with a response. He certainly seemed to be biding his time given his attempt to lower his power level. She had been in this situation before however...He had already played his hand completely at this rate. It was just a matter of getting him to calm down and tell them the truth, the truth that he clearly didn't know what was going on. A truth that was slowly becoming more and more obvious to Sabine as the man did nothing whatsoever to actually defend himself. Someone who managed to kill the king of all saiyans without so much as a trace of their existence would never be this...Sloppy. Unless of course they were covering it up, but she very much doubted that possibility.
"You remind me of my son when he's playing pretend. Honestly...You're a fully grown adult!"
She was getting closer and closer to the top as she continued to shimmy along towards the strange man. The saiyan soldiers down below wanted to fire off ki blasts but... They were afraid to hit their commander. Sabine supposed this was her fault for escalating the situation to begin with, but she wasn't going to take the chance of putting people under her command at risk, especially given the scenario at hand. She simply spoke with a stern yet calm voice now as she slowly pieced together what was going on... Although whatever her assumptions were they were still far from the whole truth.

This game was getting pretty funny for the Southern Kai. The Human was aiming a sort of energy weapon at him, something that he could feel charging up a significant amount of energy. It was quite the commendable fear for a human. He saw her press into her ear and started speaking gibberish, or that's what it sounded like to him. It was more than likely a radio device, and she was calling for assistance or backup. That... was not something he wanted. He had barely arrived on Earth, and already he was stirring up trouble with what he could only assume was the local law enforcement. Not the best way to mark his arrival.
Then there were the sayins. The two underlings were terrified, since they could sense Impo's power. This hadn't been something the Kia had been expecting to happen to him, but he could roll with it. He had expected a small scuffle to have broken out, but their leader had managed to take control of the situation. She was a level headed woman, much more so than the human, and had decided to appeal to his sense of civility, chiding his attempts at humor and the like. Impo sighed, as the woman revealed herself to be a mother, and instantly understood. Mothers were some of the scariest beings in all the universe, and were more than capable of calling out his nonsense.
As she shimmied closer to him, putting herself between himself and her comrades, Impo opened the umbrella, before tossing it to the side. It floated briefly in the air, before it started to disintegrate. It took only a few seconds before it faded into nothing. "You're never too old to have fun. Being serious all the time will just give you wrinkles." He said soft enough for her to hear, as he smiled at her. "But I suppose you're right, no need to start an incident over something so silly." Impo would leap from the tree back onto the ground, three feet in front of the woman with the weapon.
He his hands were behind his back, holding his left wrist with his right hand. "Hello my dear." He said simply, making no move to defend himself from her Ki Gun. "I apologize for that. You and your friends are quite the intimidating lot, and I felt threatened. Please forgive me." He would tell her, if she gave him the chance to speak. If she just tackled him to the ground to try and cuff him, however, he wouldn't resist. It wasn't as if she wasn't in the right to do so, assuming she was a part of the law enforcement. Hmm, Impo couldn't remember the last time he was in prison. Maybe he could annoy the guards into releasing him? That would be pretty funny, he thought.
Regardless, he would not be attacking first. If one of the sayins attacked him, he would respond to them, or if the woman fired her blaster at him. But he was willing to be as civil to them as they were to him. He did wonder what questions, if any, they would ask him. They might still think he's some assassin, or they might not, given his response to them so far. He could only assume that the sayin leader no longer believed he was, given her reactions to him, and willing to climb up to him. Could she not fly? He was curious why did did decided to shimmy up instead of flying, or the more aggressive tactic of knocking the tree down, but maybe she didn't want to anger him? Questions for later, if he got the chance to ask them.

These games were just fucking stupid! The detective knew damn well he was doing this all for show. Making threats like this was the worst idea he could have ever done. As she kept her rifled right on his ass, Sabine would slightly move between her and the kai. Drats! She was in the way! A faint speech was heard in her ear... Ohhh... Ohhhhhhh.... Good, good.... She would keep her rifled focused on him as Sabine would reason with the idiot. As that happened, she could hear more of a conversation going on in her ear. The woman looked satisfied for what she was hearing as the man would finally appear in front of her and apologize for his actions. However, the woman wasn't going to take it.
The ki rifled focused on him would suddenly vanish out of her hands as it exploded into nothing. The woman would pull her back up and cross her arm, "Honestly, like Mrs. Sabine said... You're a child. Making false-like threats is a crime you know. If what is said is true and that you're really a threat as you say...."
Suddenly, a tiny blue dot focused on him from an unknown area... Then another blue dot... Another RED dot... A HEART DOT?! All sorts of laser dots from different directions started aiming at him. The craziest part was... Their ki signatures were completely cloaked. The young detective crossed her arms and looked at the man with a serious look on her face. "My friends here are very capable of handling the most serious threats. From what I've heard... You're just a grain of sand compared to what they've all handled together," she calmly said towards him. That alone should mean something to the kai. The simple fact that these unknown 'beings' are capable of handling deadly threats like this is terrifying.
She'd look at him and kept her arms cross. "I wouldn't advise running either, these individuals are master hunters. To be apart of their group is a dream, something not even I have the privilege of joining yet. All I have to do is tell my commander I want you obliterated and they'll do it. Play time is over..."
Her eyes glared at him with hostility, "Identify yourself! Don't get near Ms. Sabine or her soldiers. They're under our protection now for you violated their safety!!!"
The woman seemed very serious and completely legit on all this. If the kai was to truly try and sense the individuals around, he wouldn't be able to read off their ki. Trying to read off their signatures was like trying to see through underwater goo! It was just not possible to determine their strengths... Hell, even Sabine would even have no chance of reading them. The point of all this was to prove a point to the kai that this world wasn't the same one he knew long ago.. This is a civilization that has seen horrible incidents happen throughout the timeline. They aren't so weak anyone like they used to. Still...
"Well... I'm waiting... Talk!"

Thankfully it seemed he was finally willing to come down and cease...Whatever this stunt was. Though not before grumbling about being too serious. Though Sabine had her own comments in regards to that!
"Perhaps you have a point. I do see several wrinkles on your face already!"
With Impo finally back on the street, Sabine leapt off the side of the tree, gracefully floating back down, although she didn't need an umbrella to do so. Her feet touched down with a soft click sound as she stepped over to the two, her arms crossed sternly.
"You shouldn't sneak up on those undergoing official business. We are on high alert at the moment. You could have been injured. I would rather not be responsible for a civilian coming to harm over an accident of all things. Even less so when it is a civilian who poses no threat to us."
The saiyan commander stated matter of factly. She used a calm tone when speaking to him. She wasn't here to intimidate, she was only acting in order to carry out her duty.
Sabine raised an eyebrow as several dots appeared on the kai. Curious, were these the back up Miss Proudmoore called for? The saiyan couldn't pick up even a faint trace of ki. Just that one sign was enough to tell her that whoever these people were, they were on a level perhaps even higher than her own superiors. And every single one of them were ready to blast this strange man into oblivion should he turn violent. It came as a small relief to her that if there were any threat at all, it was under control.
"Now then. Seeing as you have thoughtfully cooperated, I will personally not hold you here. However... I do still have to ask a few questions. Paperwork, you know..."
She gives a sigh at the thought of boring paperwork, assuming that the kai knew how tedious it was to have to write down every incident, however small.
"I cannot speak for Earth authorities, however. But Miss Proudmoore is a fair officer. Simply cooperate and I'm certain you csn be on your way."
Sabine motioned to the saiyan soldiers under her command to lower their fighting stances - But to keep their guard up just in case anyone else decided to show up on the scene. She pulled out a small notebook and a pen, flipping it open and clicking the pen into its writing mode.
"Right. First question. Where exactly did you get a power level that high? I would estimate it at...About ten times that of my soldiers."
She began to jot down a few notes in her notebook, keeping info on her own power level still under wraps considering it was surpressed. He didn't need to know how strong she was, civilian or not.
"Just answer honestly. You aren't under arrest."

The words and threats that the blond woman was making honestly amused him. It was almost comical how she thought she was threatening. Her words and her actions didn't match up at all, either. Calling him a child, and making false threats, all the while calling in reinforcements. He noticed several laser sights appear on his body, showing that she had competent friends in high places. They were clearly masters of stealth as well, seeing that his Ki sense couldn't detect them. It was quite interesting that they could hide from him, but it was no matter. This woman was all talk, blathering on and on about the accomplishments of others, but not her own. It told him that she wasn't an issue, if they were to come to blows.
He did have a chuckle at the Saiyan woman's retort, turning to face her, and ignoring the blond who now stood behind him. He rubbed his face, where a laser sight was trained on him. "I do believe you've mistaken a laser with a wrinkle. Common mistake, I'm sure." He said, still smiling freely. Truth be told, her insults were just as childish as his were. But, he wouldn't say that was a bad thing. Not all back and fourths had to be scathing, high class insults. It wouldn't be fun if he had to constantly one-up the other person he was taunting. Sometimes it was more fun to ignore them, like the police woman.
He let the saiyan ask her questions, not interrupting her. "Fair you say? I'm afraid I have to disagree." He looked from side to side nonchalantly, staring out into the distance where he could only assume his would-be assailants were hiding. "If 'Miss Proudmoore' were fair, I doubt she'd have called on all of, this." He said to her, pointing his arm out to the side, rolling his wrist around lazily. "I created two trees, and waved an umbrella at her. This isn't exactly a proportionate response." He said with a chuckle on his tone, laughing at the entire situation.
He probably seemed crazy to them, given the threat they thought he was under. But he was about to dissuade them of that little notion that they were holding. "Secondly, power level? What power level?" He asked her, almost managing to sound genuine with the question. In an instant, his Ki completely vanished from the senses of everyone around him. His Ki could no longer be sensed by the saiyans, or anyone else trying to detect it. He had realized why they had been able to do so at all. The last planet he had been on, he had, lowered the quality of it, so to speak. He had needed to give the mortals there the ability to detect him because of the situation at hand, and had forgot to switch it back. Now, he had done so.
Knowing that making his Ki invisible to the snipers, he decided it was probably best for his health to get out of dodge. Impo didn't even bother moving his body, and instead vanished from reality with a pop, instantly appearing behind 'Miss Proudmoore. He whispered into her ear. "A bit of advice for the future. When you want to be threatening, don't call on your attack dogs. Fight your own battles." He told her, with a more serious tone. If she lashed out to attack him, she would find that he was already gone, having vanished again with a second use of his Kai Kai, leaving the area without a trace.
