KoshoPL: 70 (for the sake of being right after Random Encounter)Current Location: West City OutskirtsSpeech/Thought Color: eede24Who knew that most of the restaurants in West City wouldn't serve people without shirts on! Most of the pubs, restaurants, and other food joints Kosho and Atsuko had ended up walking into didn't let them walk in mainly because of Kosho's lack of clothing on the top of his body. It wasn't his fault. Well, maybe a little bit his fault. He did remove his armor while they were fighting in that park, and it did get really rough. He should have expected at least that much to happen to his armor. However, it wasn't something the Saiyan should or was going to complain about. He could always have another chest piece made for him whenever, and he had spares.
"You know, I kinda expected to get kicked outta all of 'em, but I didn't expect them to have a problem with your armor." Kosho would turn to the Knight, his arms crossed out of frustration, due to those restaurants and food joints. Now, in the outskirts of West City, they had to find their own food. Just as Atsuko mentioned before, at this point they had no choice but to hunt for their own food. While the thought of hunting for food didn't really disturb Kosho, the thought of not being sat down and served anywhere else did. If that ramen shop was able to serve Atsuko, why didn't anyone else?
There was no point in complaining about it at this point. Kosho was already here in the outskirts, and his goal was to procure food for both him and his comrade. Coming to relatively short, yet thick tree, the Saiyan runs his fingers across it, studying it. Well, it's pretty thick. I guess this would do. Reeling his arms back, Kosho harnessed just enough Ki into it to strike down the tree. He launched a Uraeus Fang straight through it, the attack dispersing as soon as it came out the other side of the tree. Looking to his comrade, Kosho would explain his thoughts to her. "I'm thinking we could just start a campfire. You said before you didn't mind hunting for food, and I don't, either. We can probably find some pretty big game out here." Heading to the log, Kosho karate chopped at it, breaking it down into smaller pieces, fit for a campfire. Through his grunts, the Saiyan questioned Atsuko further. "So, how're you feeling now after that fight? You got pretty banged up back there."

[Thread PL: 60] Well, that was a long string of annoying visits into restaurants that wanted nothing to do with the Knight or the half-dressed Saiyan. Surely at least ONE of them should have been fine with the predicament, but apparently not. So it meant that they had to make due elsewhere and by their own means. That was fine, she could still prepare a suitable meal as long as she could hunt the right creature. Even just one dinosaur would do the trick, in her opinion.
Though Kosho highlights how bad their trip had gone by pointing out that indeed, they weren't turned away just because he didn't have a shirt, but also because she was in armor. " And how ridiculous is that? What's wrong with armor?!" , she then sighs. Just reminds her of Rumia, really. She seems to have the same distaste for what Atsuko decides to wear. Sure, that was always "my armor" every single time, but still! What was wrong with that?
Her traveling companion decided to take the initiative to prepare a campfire. " Yeah, we'll be able to find plenty of food by foraging and hunting. Won't take very long at all." , she then responds to his comment about the potential of finding big game.
Not long after, Kosho then asks how Atsuko is doing after the fight. " Tired and hungry more than anything. I feel like I got a good workout, really." , she then states, rolling her shoulders a little. Once she was able to rest up, she was sure that she would get a lot stronger from that. But part of that was getting a good meal, too!" I'll let you tend to the Campfire, and I'll see what I can find out there. I shouldn't be gone long. Sound like a plan?" Kosho

Ridiculous was an understatement for Kosho. Sure, he may be in a completely new environment, on a completely new planet, but he'd expect for people to be fine with sitting down a knight. Wouldn't it make sense, in that aspect? Serve the people who serve you. No matter how ridiculous you looked on Patch, if you were a soldier, you'd be treated as such. Unless, of course, you were a jerk of a soldier. Nevertheless, his idea still stood out in his head: serve and be served. It didn't make any sense turning away someone in knight armor, especially since that individual worked relentlessly to serve the planet she lives on. Maybe that was just how different Earth was from Patch? That wouldn't settle well with the Saiyan, if that was the case.
Kosho was happy to hear Atsuko's reply, that it wouldn't take too long. Smiling, the Saiyan joked a little, but was dead serious. "Good, 'cuz I can probably eat a dinosaur at this point. I can't even remember my last meal today." Pausing a bit, Kosho held onto the log with a blank stare on his face. Shortly afterwards, he broke his silence. "Oh, wait. That was at the ramen shop with you and Asmoskon." Atsuko soon mentioned she would leave campfire duty to Kosho, and that she'd go on and find some food for them. Nothing sounded like a better plan to the Saiyan. In fact, he would have been fine doing either one of those jobs. Hunting isn't something a Saiyan would do often, unless in times of war on different planets. Despite not having done it often before, he knew the fundamentals of it. Looking over to his fellow camper, he gave a thumbs up and smiled to her. "Sounds good to me, Atsuko. The fire should be lit when you're done."
The Saiyan would continue at his objective after responding to Atsuko. Once he finished breaking down the tree into smaller firewood chunks, he turned to see all the logs he'd created. Hands on his hips, Kosho tried to judge whether or not this would be enough. His answer was shaking his head and looking for another tree to chop down. He was a Saiyan, after all. If he knew one thing about his blood, it was that as much as there was a desire to fight, there was also a desire to eat. A small fire that didn't last very long wouldn't do either one of them any good. He got the other tree, broke it down, and brought it back to the campsite for further downsizing. Getting this campfire set up, Kosho couldn't help but think about the events that led him to come to Earth. His eyes looked focused, but his mind drifted off into a recollection of events that he shouldn't be bringing back up from his memory. "My King..." That was all that escaped from his mouth for a long time. It was all that was on his mind, other than meeting Renko, the Detective, and Atsuko and Asmoskon. Four interesting individuals, and one of which was a Saiyan from Patch, just like Kosho. However, despite all the good that came of this business trip, the Saiyan still thought of his fallen King. Who the hell did it? I know my objective here is to protect the Earth King, and I'll do that to my dying breath...But I still have to know. Kosho pushed those thoughts out of his head for now. Instead, he wondered how his parents were doing back on Patch. He'd have to contact them soon and tell them about what's been going on so far.

Kosho joked about not remembering the last meal he had to eat today, before assuming a blank expression and realizing that it was the ramen shop from earlier. Yeah, Atsuko didn't even eat there. Plus from her experiences... " Pasta is good, but not particularly filling by itself." , she then comments. That being a hint towards a fact that this meal WOULD be filling. Only made sense after the fight they were just in, after all.
Shortly thereafter, he gives a thumbs up and the go ahead for that plan. With a nod, Atsuko flies off deeper into the wilderness while Kosho handles their campsite. What Kosho said earlier about finding big game was certainly true. The Saiyan was currently looking for the biggest game you could find out here; dinosaur! And if you searched long enough, you'd usually find a real big one stomping around. Better known as a T-Rex. The top of the food chain!
Well, mostly. For those that knew how to use Ki... It was a simple matter of overpowering them. And for an experienced hunter like Atsuko, it was even less of an issue. It had managed to let out one loud roar upon spotting her, and it certainly charged towards her. But a single attack was all it took to kill it. Then, she grabs the tail and begins flying back to the camp. Albeit slower and with some difficulty.
Must have made for an odd sight for anyone in the area... Seeing something as huge as that flying through the air, carried by something several times smaller than it. Eventually, the Knight returns to the vicinity of the camp, and carefully lands." I'm thinking this should be plenty to fill us both up." She then looks over the campsite. It looked like things were coming along pretty well. Both of them still had work to do, though. " I'll get to preparing this for cooking. Looks like you have the campfire pretty well under control." One had to admit that the Knight worked pretty fast... Must have done stuff like this all the time on her own. Kosho

Before she flew off into the air, Atsuko mentioned that pasta wasn't really filling. Kosho could agree with her, unless, of course, he had all the ramen or pasta he could ever want. Not really thinking much about it, the Saiyan looked back and responded, chuckling a little bit. "So, I'm guessing you'll find something even more filling? Like a dinosaur?" He wasn't expecting what was going to happen when she returned. Kosho watched her fly off as he kept preparing the campfire. While he wondered how his parents were doing, he finished chopping up the other tree. Logs were carelessly stacked on top of one another next to the Saiyan. Looking at the pile, only one thing crossed his mind: Yeah, I'ma have to organize that soon.
As he carried logs with him away from the stack of firewood, Kosho felt a presence approaching. It was Atsuko again. She'd finished relatively quickly, and the Saiyan was both impressed and surprised. He was even more surprised when he looked up, his eyes widening as she descended to him. "The hell!?" Once she landed, she said that this should probably fill them up. If that didn't fill us up, we wouldn't be Saiyan...or human either. Seriously, are you or are you not a Saiyan? You have to be if you're gonna eat this! Straightening himself and fixing his eyes, he responded. "Yeah, that should do it. I wasn't expecting you to actually get a dinosaur, but I can't really complain. We'll be eating good tonight." With that, Kosho knelt down and stacked the wood against one another, building a small campfire. Looking to the T-Rex, and then back down to the campfire, he stood up and went to get more wood from the pile. "Need more wood."
Crouching back down next to the campfire with a lot more wood, Kosho replied to Atsuko's comment. "Thanks, I'm just glad I decided to cut down more wood. I don't think a small fire would really take care of cooking that thing too quickly." The Saiyan proceeded to build a bigger campfire, making quick work with it, but making sure not to push himself with getting it ready quickly. Atsuko moved really quickly, so it would only be out of respect that he does the same. He doesn't want to keep her waiting long. That would be rude. As he finished up making the campfire, Kosho tried to start a little conversation with his comrade. "That was pretty fast. I have a feeling this wasn't your first time killing a dinosaur. How many times have you done this, exactly?"

It seems that she had taken Kosho off guard with the prize she had caught while hunting. " Haha, why skimp out when it comes to a feast? Whatever we don't eat can be split up into travel rations." , she replied to Kosho. Atsuko certainly had no intentions of letting this go to waste. Although while he was concerned with getting a bigger fire going, there was something else that the Knight was concerned with.
Namely, she needed an area to prepare this thing. Butchering it right next to where you eat wasn't a good idea for several reasons. So, she lifts it up once more and begins to take it a little ways from the camp, and out of sight too. The more keen might also realize that she was taking it to where the wind wouldn't carry any stenches right onto the camp itself. This was going to smell, and be a bloody affair. But, it was part of hunting and eating.
Before she sets off entirely however, Kosho asks if she had done this before, prompting her to look back at him. " Depends. Do you count training as well as live experience? Because I've done it a lot for my training too." , she explains. " S'why I'll be moving this to a more discreet area. I'll bring back the meat that's good to eat in short order." With that, she continues on her way, setting the freshly killed catch on the ground. Now, Ki offered a variety of advantages... Including being able to do away with an excessive amount of blood. That was a good thing, considering the size of the animal she was working with here. To spare the gruesome details, she's left with a large pack of scales, talons, horns, and teeth. And then in another pack... All the meat that they can cook up. She turns away from her catch and carries the packs back to the camp. She tosses the one containing the non-edible stuff to one of the seating logs, and then she sets the pack with the meat down as she gauges how the fire is coming." Looks like this will do pretty nicely." With that, she begins digging out some of her cooking utensils, preparing them and the meat for the long cooking session ahead. She also took the time to dig out some various spices and seasonings. " Here we are. This should give it a little bit of an extra kick." Whatever training she went through... It definitely covered how to survive out in the wilds all on your own. It only really added to the idea that she really was a Knight from another era. Kosho

You know, that's actually true. Kinda jealous I didn't think of that, but at the same time, I can't really be mad. It was a good thing at least one of them thought about hunting and eating a dinosaur. Now that he knew they existed here, Kosho would carry this information with him wherever he went. If he were ever low on funds and needed to eat something, this was definitely a viable option. Additionally, if on the off chance (and that's a big if) Kosho couldn't finish his food here and now, travel rations was a good idea. Atsuko had really planned this through. If Kosho only stayed on Earth for much longer than just a month, then he would definitely have thought of something similar to that. At least, he had hoped so. Regardless, he was more than happy Atsuko thought this through so well. Wiping his surprised look from his face, Kosho adopted a warm smile and laughed a bit at her consideration. "Yeah, that's true. I'm glad you thought so deeply into this."
Before he asked her his question, Atsuko was starting to go out with the dinosaur, her tiny body dragging the behemoth with ease. It was comical if Kosho thought about it. The average Earthling here on this planet wouldn't even dream of doing this kind of stuff. Meanwhile, you had Kosho and Atsuko breaking down trees with their bare hands and carrying dinosaurs like it was nothing. ...I'm sure it's not THAT insane or uncommon...Right? The Knight confirmed in a way that this wasn't her first time doing this before. In fact, she'd been doing this hunting and preparing food as training. So, she'd done this multiple times in her life, and possibly for long intervals, too? To Kosho, his opinion of her just shot up even more. Whereas he had been training for combat since he was a young boy, with a little bit of utility and survivability on the side, she'd been training in fighting and lifestyle for possibly years. In this aspect, Kosho had a lot of catching up to do.
"Oh! Yeah, of course I'd count that, but I woulda never guessed you went above and beyond like that. Not only combat but hunting, too. You really are something else. You'd make a fine Saiyan, Atsuko." With that, Atsuko took her leave. Kosho put up two fingers in a salute, turning back to his objective of starting the campfire. "Looking forward to it!" Now, Kosho was alone again, left to his firewood. Being careful and precise, Kosho leaned into the wood and shot a thin stream of Ki from his fingertip. Before long, a little flame started to develop. He did the same with another piece of wood and started blowing on the flame to make it bigger. With that, he was able to begin a hot, steady fire. Smiling, he gave himself some praise. "Not bad, if I do say so myself."
Staring into the fire, Kosho lost himself to thought again, reflecting on the past. This time, of his childhood. A brief memory flashed through his head, recalling some events of his training with his parents. The blazing fire of the firewood reminded him of those days where he'd see the fiery sun setting over the horizon as his training got intense. He broke himself out of his trance though, closing his eyes and turning his head away from the fire. "I should stop. I know where these memories are gonna go, if it keeps up." The Saiyan sat himself down on one of the logs, waiting patiently for Atsuko's return. Sure enough, she returned relatively quickly, with two bags of goodies. She set one of those bags down next to one of the seating chairs, while the other she poured some seasonings and spices into. This was a whole different level of preparation for Kosho. Just how much does she carry with her? Is she even prepared for a zombie apocalypse?
"It's crazy how prepared you are for this, Atsuko. I'd say I woulda never imagined you would be the type of person to prepare this much, but I also only met you today." Scratching the back of his head, Kosho leaned back in his seat, somehow without falling, and chilled out there for a bit as Atsuko prepared the feast. The silence continued for a bit, making the Saiyan a little anxious. This was a good opportunity as any to get to know Atsuko better, so why not take it? Sitting back up straight, Kosho questioned his comrade. "Are you from Earth, Atsuko? How long exactly have you been here?"

Kosho ended up paying her another compliment about how much she had prepared for all of this and planned it all out. That brought a smile to Atsuko's face, even if it was still unseen because of her helmet. Her masters had taught her well, and she was glad to do their teachings justice out in the field. She could use it to not only keep herself going just fine, but also to help other people. He might not have been as experienced as her in that regard, but he had an open mind, and a willingness to learn. That was a great place to start.
When he mentions that she would make a fine Saiyan, that makes her grow thoughtful for a moment. " You think so? I was wondering if I might be too much like a Human for their tastes." , she then muses aloud. Though she wasn't one to argue with his assessment, at least. It was much better to be able to get along with someone instead of just being at odds with them all the time... Hell, even for as much as she disliked Asmoskon, it would be better for him to be able to change his ways.
But, that didn't mean running from his past either. He had to accept what has happened in order to truly take responsibility. That was her opinion, in any case. When Kosho then mentions that he'd have never expected her to be this level of prepared, that prompts a small chuckle out of her. " You have to be when you're roaming the wilderness. Traveling Supplies can only last so long, even when you take as much as you can carry." The Knight then calmly turns her head to Kosho. " The key to survival is making the most of your surroundings. It's a difficult, but rewarding way of things." , she pauses for a moment. " Give me enough time in an area, and I can probably make a small settlement!" , she then chuckles once more.
After that, he asked if she was from Earth. Atsuko thought over how to answer this. It wasn't that she distrusted Kosho or anything like that... She makes sure to adjust the meat while it's cooking as she ponders this, and finally breaks the silence. " I was raised on Earth. But I'm not native to it, no." , she begins her explanation." Before I continue, I'll ask that you can keep this secret. I'm only divulging it to the people I trust right now." , she then makes her request. Assuming Kosho had no problem with that, she would then continue. " Before I was sent to Earth, my parents were part of a prestigious order known as the Knights of Yama. They were a massive group that spanned the Galaxy. They brought peace to all the reaches of the known Universe." As she spoke, she sounded rather proud of her heritage. " ... But someone began killing them. The assassins have never been identified. But it was enough to put even Earth's King on high alert. I was too young at the time to help my parents, or even defend myself. So they sent me to Earth, to someone that they could trust." After that, the Saiyan then calmly reaches up and removes her helmet. For the first time, Kosho would get to see what she looks like. A young woman with a focused gaze, blonde hair and teal eyes. She then sets the helmet down next to the log she's seated at. " I was born a Saiyan. But also as a Knight. I carry on the legacy of my family... And I hope to bring those murderers to judgement." There was a fiery determination between her eyes. Whoever had done this had made a serious enemy out of her. " They won't be expecting me. That gives me time to prepare, and to search for them... I was wondering if you might want to join my efforts?" She then asks of Kosho. Kosho

Too humans or the tastes of a Saiyan? Well, Kosho could see how the armor itself could be as out of the ordinary on Patch as it was here on this planet. However, the pride she had in her knightly heritage, her love for combat, her survivor skills, they all told the Saiyan a different story. She may be about justice and such, but Kosho knew plenty of Saiyans that were the same way, himself included. There was a simple answer for Atsuko's doubt. "Not to me. You're pure of heart, set in one mindset, and you have a lotta pride in where you come from. I'd say you're just about as Saiyan as the next Patch soldier." He was about to find out in just a few short moments that she literally was just as much of a Saiyan as the next Patch soldier.
It was certainly true, what Atsuko said. There were a couple reasons as to why Kosho didn't carry many things around with him on a day to day basis. One was because he wasn't 100% certain what he should bring to survive days on end without shelter, and the other was because, well, he didn't have too many belongings in the first place. Besides, wouldn't too many items on hand slow you down in a fight? This Saiyan would rather be on top of his game and having nothing weighing him down, rather than to be prepared for every single situation at hand. He'll find his own way to prepare for the situation in front of him, with whatever lies in his path.
Atsuko seemed pretty confident in her survival skills. So confident, in fact, that she even said she could make a settlement within a certain given time no problem. Along with the knight, Kosho let out a short chuckle, as well, and tossed a joke her way. "Atsuko City or Atsuko Prefecture doesn't sound like too bad of a name, either. Maybe you should give it a shot, after all?" Atsuko came up with a surprising and confusing answer to his question. After a long pause, she stated that she was raised on Earth, but not born here? Aren't all Humans born and raised on Earth? Is she some sort of exception? Are there Humans born on other planets, just like there are Saiyans born of Patch and Saiyans from Earth? Before he could get a solid explanation, though, Atsuko made him swear to secrecy. The Saiyan could keep a secret, and it wasn't like he had anyone to blab to about this. If it was a request from a friend, he'd honor it. "Of course, you don't gotta ask me twice. I'm a safe locked nice and tight."
This is where, how Kosho would say it, "shit went down." A lot of things were revealed to him suddenly, but it wasn't like it was overwhelming him. If anything, all the things he learned just now, he was happy to learn. From what he could get from Atsuko's explanation, there used to exist this group called the "Knights of Yama," who were essentially peacekeeping soldiers that spanned across the galaxy. To Kosho, this possibility was insane to imagine. These Knights of Yama had descendants, and Atsuko was one of them. At some point in time, some unknown individual or group started killing off the Knights of Yama, and in order to protect her, Atsuko's family sent her to Earth. Also, she was a Saiyan, to which Kosho seemed very excited about. I CALLED IT!!! He didn't really call it, but the Saiyan felt triumphant in connecting with a fellow Saiyan, despite not exactly knowing they were a Saiyan.
When Atsuko removed her helmet and admitted her Saiyan heritage, Kosho was able to get a good look at her face. Her eyes were a teal color, with her hair a fierce blonde. Gazing upon her for a moment, the soldier felt a shudder run through his spine. A Super Sai-... No, she can't be. She looks like how one would describe a Super Saiyan, but something tells me she isn't exactly one, yet. She'd probably be immensely stronger than she already is, if she were one. Strange...I've never seen a Saiyan with naturally blonde hair. This girl just doesn't cease to surprise me. Kosho could see the determination in her eyes as she announced her goal to him. She meant it; Atsuko was bent on bringing the assassins to judgement and avenging the Knights of Yama. It was admirable, more than admirable, to fight for a cause such as that. Come to think of it, what cause has Kosho exactly been fighting for, right now? Ever since the King of Patch was assassinated, he lost his will, his goal, his everything. Kosho used to fight for the Saiyans, for his people. Now, he's here on Earth, defending the Earth King. While this was obviously something, what would happen afterwards, when his time protecting the King ended?
Atsuko didn't even need to ask twice about him joining her efforts. Kosho's current goal was simply to defend the Earth King, to do his job. However, even with this job, and when it's over, there's no doubt in his mind he can team up with Atsuko. Sticking around someone of her caliber, in his thoughts, would help him get stronger. With that, Kosho took this moment to reply to Atsuko's question, pounding his chest with his fist and showing off a determined grin. "I can't say I like sitting around doing nothing, and playing defense for the Earth King's lineup isn't something I wanna do all the time. You have my word as a Saiyan, I'll help you in whatever you need help with to take down those assassins. I can't sit idly by and let innocent people get slaughtered." After making that promise to Atsuko, Kosho dropped his fist, and lost himself in thought a bit. Something about what Atsuko said made him start thinking. What was it about again? Breaking his brief silence, the soldier looked back up to the Saiyan Knight, his gaze curious and a little worried. "By any chance, do you know what happened back on my home planet? Planet Patch?"
If Atsuko didn't quite know what happened on Patch, Kosho would take his next moment to explain the situation, and why he was here in the first place. "Planet Patch is where Traditionalist Saiyans, such as myself, are born and raised. In a brief summary, we seek to align ourselves with the training and lifestyle of our ancestors, in order to bring peace to our kingdom and fight for those who are too weak to fight for themselves. About a month ago, though, our King was assassinated. There was no warning, no evidence of any mutiny or treachery. I was on duty the night he passed. I felt responsible for his death, even though I wasn't even specifically assigned to his quarters. I felt that I'd failed my King as a Saiyan, just by letting him die that night."
Kosho's fists balled up, his body intense as he briefly recalled the night the Patch King was killed. The panic that occurred afterwards, the shame that he carried with him, unjustly, for about a month. It was a dark time for the Saiyan. Breaking out of his mini trance, he continued with his original train of thought. "Afterwards, I came to Earth to defend the Earth King. The call to defend the Earth King came before my King died, but I ignored it at the time, only wanting to defend Patch and my King. With that lost, I came here to bring honor to my family and myself. Thinking about it now, after you mentioned the Knights of Yama, it makes sense as to why the Earth King is so scared. There's also a scary connection between my King's death and this unknown assassin's killing spree, in the sense that this murderer or these murderers are getting away with killing so many people without anyone finding out who they are."
Kosho leaned in a little closer, looking directly at Atsuko again. His face was simply focused, just like hers was not too long ago. He meant no hostility, no malice; all he wanted was to get to the bottom of this, and to see if his new teammate knew anything of this situation. "Of course, I won't be mad if you don't know the answer to this, but can I just ask you just one question? Do you know if the Patch King was connected to the Knights of Yama, or if the Earth King is? 'Cuz if they are, then everything I thought I knew about this situation is insanely wrong." This was the only question he had for Atsuko at the moment. Whether she knew or not wouldn't change the opinion Kosho had of her, nor would it dissuade him from joining forces with her to take down these assassins. If the Patch King was connected to the Knights of Yama, it would just give Kosho more incentive to fight alongside Atsuko. If he wasn't, then he'd be fighting alongside Atsuko to stop these assassins from their unjust killing of innocent people.

Kosho started off by assuring Atsuko that she was as much of a Saiyan as any other Patch Soldier, which was quite the compliment, considering how different the two cultures must have been. Still, it was nice to hear. She had a home on Earth, but her people might accept her too. And hopefully she would have no shortage of friends and allies to depend on, either. Rumia's advice was sound, even if the Knight didn't want to endanger anyone else... She had to concede that there were some things she really did just need help with.
And if ever such a time came, Kosho would be one of the top picks. After that, however, he began to joke about the name of the supposed settlement. " Ha, you have a point there. If I was going to, might have to bear that in mind." , she couldn't help but grin. Kosho had a good sense of humor, able to poke fun, but keep it lighthearted and obviously without offense. It did a lot to make her feel a little more at ease.
She had a lot of things to be on edge about, but Kosho was not one of them in the slightest. They'd probably never really get tired of training together and trying to one-up the other in terms of strength and skill, but she wagered that he would always have her back. A favor that she would return gladly. And as proof of that, Kosho accepts her request to join forces. Although he did ask if she knew what happened on his homeworld, which prompted her to shake her head." I can't say that I have..." , she then vocally admits, before falling silent as he begins to explain his tale. Rather surprisingly, the Traditionalist Saiyans valued their roots and fought their hardest for the sake of others that needed it.... Very admirable, to say the least! If things had turned out differently, she might have well joined up with such a group. Although not all the news he had to deliver was good. Kosho explains that the King was assassinated.
Then, he reveals his reasoning behind bringing this up, he genuinely wondered if the murders might be connected by the same figure or figures... It was possible. But there was no proof as of yet. " I will say that I won't rule out the possibility that the very same assassins are involved. The execution fits their methods to a very frightening degree." She brings a hand to her own chin as she ponders over as to why they did it, too. " If we assume their efforts are to destabilize the Galaxy and threaten the peace... Then the King of Patch is an obvious target after the Knights of Yama. They both had remarkably similar goals, from what you've told me." The coincidences were just a bit much to be considered only that anymore. " You shouldn't blame yourself for what happened, though. None of us could have anticipated an invisible killer with such strength -- they surely have to be strong in order to kill so many without leaving any traces behind." Atsuko pauses for a moment. " I won't lie to you, Kosho. This is going to be the most dangerous battle we've ever been in. There's no telling when they might come to Earth, or what they'll be seeking either... The best thing we can do is prepare as much as we can. I have a feeling we're going to need it." Kosho

Kosho was glad that Atsuko was able to add onto his joke and comment on it. So far, with all the Saiyans he'd been meeting in the time he spent on Earth, he was hitting it off well with them. So far, it was him, Renko, and Atsuko. He wondered how their relationship would be in the future. Of course, he was gambling that it would be the relationship of rivals and sparring partners. Still, he wondered what it would be like in the future. The Patch Saiyan couldn't wait to see how much stronger they all got. To him, it'd be even more of a good fight.
From how Atsuko responded, she seemed to follow along plenty with everything Kosho had to say. Despite not knowing what happened on Patch, she was understanding, and they both came to similar conclusions. While it was a little frustrating that they didn't know for certain if these coincidences were more than coincidences, it was nice to know that they were somewhat on the same track. Furthermore, he wouldn't feel any malice towards Atsuko for not knowing if the Patch King may or may not have been a Knight of Yama. There was no helping it, and he wouldn't blame his friend for not knowing. That would be wrong in ant of itself. What they did know was that the Patch King was assassinated mysteriously, without anyone knowing who the perpetrator was, just like the other Knights of Yama. It seemed fishy, and finding the perpetrator was going to be a whole different level of difficult.
One thing was for sure, this was definitely going to be the most difficult battle they'd have, possibly ever. If this individual was strong enough to murder multiple people without leaving any evidence whatsoever, just imagine what they could do to Kosho and Atsuko and everyone else they knew. One wrong move at the wrong time, and they could put everyone on Earth in danger. The risks didn't seem higher. Everything Atsuko mentioned seemed more than accurate and plausible. If they were trying to destabilize the galaxy, for what? "It seems weird. We've been in a time of peace for a while. Why would anyone wanna destabilize that balance? Are they just tryna get rid of the peace to cause chaos, or are they tryna do something bigger after war breaks out?"
Atsuko's consoling was very appreciated. Kosho just wished he had that when he was back on Patch a month ago. Chances were, if he got that sooner after the King was dead, then he probably would have come to Earth sooner, and thus met Atsuko and all these other people he knows, sooner as well. The Patch Saiyan smiled at his comrade and thanked her. "Thank you, I appreciate that. I just wish you were there to tell me that a month ago. Things probably woulda been a lot different if I go that pep talk to my head way before I actually did." After she said this would probably be the most dangerous foe they ever faced, Kosho's face got serious, his eyebrows scrunched up and his grin faded into a pondering scowl. Just how strong could these guys be...
"Yeah, I'm with you on that. Someone of that caliber...I just can't imagine it. We'll all have to get much stronger. Chances are, if we all band together, we could probably take whoever it is down without losing any lives. I'd rather it not come to making sacrifices." Kosho leaned forward again, looking towards Atsuko. This time, he wasn't as serious, showing a more playful and lighthearted side of himself. "Working together with you is gonna be fun. I'm excited even right now to work on whatever in order to prepare for this opponent. But, it looks like on my free time, I'm gonna be tryna figure out more about my fallen King. There's something that just doesn't settle with me, as of right now. I need to know more." Kosho stared at the fire, a thought occurring to him. What if we're forced to use that form? The Oozaru? It's power is incredible, but it's dangerous to use it without proper training. We'd end up going berserk and hurt anyone around us... Chasing that thought out of his head, the Patch Saiyan stood up and slammed his fists together, motioning his head towards the dino. "All right! How's 'bout we put that shrimp on the barbie?"

When Kosho begins to question why anyone would want to destabilize the peace, Atsuko can't help but shrug in response. " I'm afraid we can only speculate as to why they would do such a thing, and we wouldn't be able to come up with any answer that would make sense to us." , she then sighs lightly. " All we can do is get stronger, and confront them when the time comes. Maybe we'll get our answers then." Kosho then thanked her for the kind words related to what happened to the King, she gives a calm nod in response. " Anytime, Kosho. What matters is that you're here now, ready to fight and set things right. I have a feeling that if we work together, we could make a lot happen. Even taking on people as dangerous as them." It seems like he even agreed with the idea of working together just to ensure that no one had to sacrifice themselves. Even setting aside tactics like that, they might NEED to be in a group just to be able to handle this kind of enemy. There was no telling how many Assassins there were, if they worked in a group or not, how strong they were... There were too many unknown variables.
The best chance they had was in being just as much of an unknown variable. " Don't worry. I fully intend for everyone involved in this defense to come out of it alive and well." Fortunately, the heavy atmosphere began to lift as Kosho reveals his excitement in working with Atsuko. But he also admits that in his free time, he wants to try and learn more about what happened to the King of Patch. The Knight gives a nod in response to that. " Of course. If you need any help with that, let me know. I'd be glad to accompany you." It was only fair, after all. Considering he was helping her with all of this. Returning the favor seemed the right thing to do. Hell, even if she didn't ask for his help, she'd have probably offered regardless. But now! It was time to focus on preparing this feast of theirs!" Fair point! We'll talk more after our meal." The Saiyan then immediately sets to cooking all of this up. There was going to be plenty of meat to go around. Lot of choice cuts, too. The dinosaur that she had picked out was healthy. This would make for a good meal, it was certainly already smelling that way. Kosho

Staying pensive wasn't something Kosho wanted to keep up. Plus, what Atsuko said was helping him stay away from being that. It's true: all they could really do is get stronger and see what happens next. There was no preparing when they didn't even know who the enemies were. At this point in time, there were no weak points, no strategies, nothing of interest to highlight. All they could do was just as Atsuko said; get stronger in order to prepare for the oncoming threat. Hopefully, they can all get strong enough to repel said threat.
After Kosho thanked her, the Saiyan Knight also mentioned that what was important was to work together in order to take down this enemy. Work together...that means all of us. That means me, Atsuko, Renko, Proudmoore, even Asmoskon. Something as drastic as that, making us all band together to fight a common enemy, is coming towards us. Such a thought that was! They'd have to fight someone who would make many people who dislike and like each other have to get together to put up a resistance. Almost insane to think about. Never unheard of, but the fact that this was most likely going to be happening soon was somewhat of a wake up call.
"Yeah, that's true." The Patch Saiyan shifted his weight in his seat, leaning back a little while his tail propped against the floor to hold the body up. "At least we both can agree that we'll make sure no one has to die." It was nice for Atsuko to give her support for Kosho while he worked to uncover the secrets behind his King's death. He had an ally who would help him just as he would help her. Smiling, Kosho gave his thanks to his newfound friend. "Thank you. I'll be sure to give you a call whenever I start." There was one other person Kosho wanted to ask for help from. He felt as if he'd talk to another certain Saiyan from Patch, he'd have his full support as well.
As Atsuko continued to prepare the meal they were about to have, Kosho leaned back with his tail propping him up, his arms behind his head. He stared at the roaring fire they made. The Patch Saiyan honestly couldn't wait until it was finished. His mouth began to water a bit and the smell was just as tempting as the look of it. MEEEEEAAAAAAAAT!! That was the only thing he could really think with his current one-track-mind. There was nothing else occupying his mind, just how it should be. No negative and concerning thoughts were welcome in the mind of Kosho at this very moment.

Fortunately, Kosho wouldn't have to wait very long for the meal to be served! Atsuko had gotten pretty good at cooking it just right. Hell, he even got to see the Knight use some of her Ki in a carefully focused manner to add the appropriate amount of heat to the cooking process. One got the sense that this was an art form she had perfected over many, many trial runs.
But that could be talked about later, right now, she had given a large serving to Kosho. " I assume you're about as hungry as I am, so eat up." , she says with a grin, and then turns her attention back to cooking up more of it. There was certainly still a lot to go through. Just like before, she'd use her Ki to do a quick roast on her own portion, before setting it aside and getting some more of the meat cooking over the fire. This time, however, she lets it cook normally as she sits back and focuses on eating her own share." Perfect. I got it just right!" , she then comments on her own cooking, satisfied with the results. She was wondering what Kosho might think of it. Atsuko was silently hoping that he would enjoy the food as much as she was. But only time would tell. Eventually her thoughts turned to the information he shared. All of this could have run much deeper than she first thought...
As much as she'd prefer not to involve other people for their own safety, she had to admit that this was the most unusual of circumstances... If she didn't accept the help, then the Assassins could slip away, or easily deal with her. 'I guess Rumia had a point.', she thought to herself.
Although that does make her consider... Should she introduce Kosho to Rumia? He might be able to benefit from her assistance too, and it'd be a good way to assure her that Atsuko isn't intending to just run into all of this alone! Kosho

If there was anyone who Kosho would recommend as the ideal survivalist, there was no doubt in his mind that Atsuko was the the sole individual to pop into his head. With everything she demonstrated in the time they spent together, it'd be a crime not to acknowledge it. This brought excitement to Kosho, but also curiosity. She seemed a little weaker than Kosho at first. That was something indisputable that both the Saiyan and Asmoskon found out and tested during battle. However, Atsuko also seems to get some sort of power boost when she's pushed to the edge enough and she has these survival skills like no one has seen. You combine all that together, and it made the Patch Saiyan wonder. Is she the ultimate warrior? I can't lose to her, if she would be considered it. I wanna at the very least be up there with her and Renko. I need to be.
Once Atsuko had finished, she gave Kosho his portion, a very hefty portion of meat. This was just about what he'd get at Patch, though. Funny how to other people this would be equivalent to suicide, but to him, it's just your everyday breakfast meal. Saiyans really do have a bottomless stomach. Grabbing ahold of the meat, Kosho looked at it with amazement and glee and thanked Atsuko. "Oh, yeah. Extremely. Thank you for the meal." Before digging in, Kosho started saying the traditional Japanese phrase before having meals. "Itadaki-" I never said he finished saying it. Before finishing the phrase, Kosho dug right into his meal. He tore through the dino meat like it was a piece of paper going through a shredder.
Needless to say, Kosho was really enjoying his meal, and his hunger was making his meal even better. Glancing up for a moment from his food, Kosho saw that Atsuko was grilling her meat the same way she did his. As in, she was using her Ki as well as the fire. Ah, as expected of the master survivalist. In between stuffing his face, Kosho had short thoughts about the upcoming threat, whenever it may come. Something he thought about before crossed his mind, making him laugh when it developed further. There was no food in his mouth at the time so he didn't choke. However, the laugh was genuine, not too loud, and not too hysterical, either. He didn't think of anything particularly hilarious, just more so ironic.
"Y'know, Asmoskon is some kinda criminal, right? You said so when we were fighting with him. I don't really got anything against the guy, y'know, since he was a really good fight and all. But if you think about it, we're gonna have to work with him when those assassins, or that assassin, comes to Earth. Thinking about it, it's kinda ironic and funny. Your nemesis, working together with you to try and take down an even greater threat." Pausing for a moment, Kosho gave time for Atsuko to respond in whatever way she wanted, and also thought about the limits of their help. Would that be all they had? Could they only rely on a select few people for the battle ahead? Sure, Kosho would definitely help Atsuko in whatever she needed to do to battle the upcoming threat. Even if it was just them two preparing for it, he'd be fine; but do they have to not tell anyone else? After a little bit, Kosho would voice his curiosity. "So, about these murderers, whoever they are? Should we not tell anyone else about this? There are plenty of strong fighters on Earth, and I'm sure we can always find more here, too. And we're all gonna get stronger, too. Would it be all right to at least let 'em know, or would it be bad if we did?"
