Penguin Village, even now it was far behind the times compared to other areas on Earth. It was practically technologically illiterate. They were old timey, praticully hermits without being closed off on some island. To most it was compelty unimpressive and easy to look over. But that was also what had made it perfect for Rumia's training grounds. Her and her ever faithful squad of assistants through the generations. Assitents who at this moment were guiding Ayami through the village to this destination. an underground entrance at the village's end, crafted by Rumia herself. While they did that Rumia began carefully reconstructed the training grounds as she for each new generation of Ayami's family, which would now include her as well. She would be the latest in the line to learn her Kamigoroshi no Shinken. Things were really looking up in her life, first she had gotten to meet he love reborn and now? She would be able to once more pass on these legendary techiques to a fresh mind! But why was she doing this all herself rather than having the villagers, or even the assistants handle the clean up? Well for one it was quicker... But it also let her add her own personal touch for each new iteration! And so she did just that, awaiting the arrival of her new student. But who pray tell were these elite assistants Rumia trusted to help with the training of these sacred techiques? What powerful beings could embody the principals passed down through the generations of Ayami's noble family. .....Aya coudn't bring herself to tell Ayami what was going on. All she could impart while rubbing her temple was 'go with the flow child' Such a thing to her current escort through Penguin Village, which actually wasnt populated by nothing but penguins! Well.... No one other than the ones currently escorting Ayami towards the training grounds. A wide assortment of penguins with various gadgets on them. Armed, they were armed penguins, their was even one with brass knuckles somehow strapped firmly to its wings! At the head of these penguins and leading the way was one colored differently as well looking much more serious than the rest of the assistants. Well as serious as one could look for a penguin. Despite this he had acted like a drill sergeant the entire way, redirected Ayami if she got distracted and, if she really got distracted making her do various types of exercise like jumping jack's, pull ups, push ups etc whenever she did so. Seemingly not caring at all that this was apprantly a time sensitive situation in the process. Or caring about the heavy ass dumbells he made her wear while doing them. His name was Kevin. When they finally arrived at the entrance the man gave a hmph! As she moved aside to allow her to go down and meet her trainer. "Here we are kid, try not to get yourself killed doing all this ok? It's a real pain waiting on your family to mate worthy successors"God he was an asshole. As Ayami went down the entire squad would follow single file behind her, organising themselves around the arena. At the center of this arena? Their stood the great patron goddess Rumia. The leader of their faith, the one they worshipped. ...Was she smaller than expected? "Welcome esteemed Penguin Hero Ayami to your training, to training that made your grandma weep! To training your family has learned through the generations once worthy of it..."She gave a bright smile, and a 'v' sign in welcome of the young mechanic. Yes she had been looking forward to this, she was going to have a LOT of fun with her. "Remeber me? I'm your Patron Deity Rumia, and I am the master of your training!"Yep, she nailed the entrance this time, it was FABULOUS ten out of ten!

[Thread PL: 761][Super Compressed Training Weights Equipped! EXP gains doubled, dodge calculations reduced by 10%][Current Outfit: Mysterious Heroine Pengu] The day she waited for had finally come after so long. Ayami's grandmother had given her blessings for the Kamigoroshi no Shinken's secrets to be passed down once again. After the struggle at Penguin Village Ayami had finally been deemed worthy of learning the art which was held sacred to her family, something that had been learned by every generation and every member. Even her less combat-inclined parents had learned it. It was simply the duty of every member of this family to become worthy and learn the skills which scorned evil's might.
... Even so...Even so!!! Why'd Gramma just tell her to go to Penguin Village?! The young elfen had expected her grandmother to be the one passing down the sacred martial arts! But instead she just said something about how what came next was going to painful and she just had to "Try and bear it as best you can"! That being said...For some reason what greeted her as she arrived to the neighboring island wasn't this "Secret trainer" she was supposed to meet up with...it was a group of ACTUAL penguins!!! They handed her a weird looking outfit and told her to get dressed, saying it was for "protecting her identity"......But as she followed the penguins down the street every single villager in Penguin Village recognized her as "That girl who saved the town"...All she could really do is wave and greet people as they called out to her in happy greeting. She leaned towards the really MEAN green penguin, whispering to him."Are you guys really sure I have to wear this...? There aren't even any pants with this outfit! How am I supposed to fight in a skirt?!"Still...There was something oddly fitting about this scenario. She had been deemed a hero for protecting this village alongside her friends Tomina and Atsuko not so long ago, and penguins were aquatic birds right? Still, she REALLY didn't like this Kevin guy! She wanted to chew him out for berating a member of the legendary Godslayer clan!!! But...She bit her tongue. Oh not because she was being well-behaved. Far from it! If she had her choice she'd try kicking his ass here and now! But if she drew his ire...There was a chance she would no longer be worthy. She wasn't going to travel all this way and have struggled for so long just to lose her status over one jerk! For now she simply played along with his instructions, trying her best to complete each impromptu drill...And every time she greeted citizens of Penguin Village in came another demand.
Finally as they reached the entrance the elfen fighter slouched over, resting her hands on her knees and trying to catch her breath! She could only express relief as he stepped aside and motioned for her to enter."OH THANK GODDESS FINALLY! I thought we'd never get here!!"Ayami could only give Kevin an annoyed smile as he insisted she try not to "get killed, because it takes a while to mate a new successor."Could you not make me imagine my family members having to reproduce? My stomach's already turning from your unfair gauntlet, thanks."Once again she had to bite down on her tongue hard as she narrowly resisted the urge to say "You flightless asshole". She turned back to look at the squad of penguins following along, she didn't question why any of them had weapons...No, no, Ayami knew better than to question something this absurd when their leader was clearly someone very eccentric. She climbed down the ladder and began her descent. Much to her surprise however the cave entrance did not match the interior at all...What met her wasn't a dark dank cavern, but a...Rocky field met with a cloudless sky?! No...No it wasn't that mystical. A closer examination revealed a corner where the ceiling met the floor. So this wasn't a REAL sky she was seeing. But then...How was it as bright as day in here? The elfen mechanic scanned the room but failed to find any hidden spotlights. Finally she touched down at the bottom of the ladder, turning around and stepping forward as she spotted someone standing in the center of the arena..."Hey what gives?"Ayami turns around just as the squad of penguins finish their descent down the ladder, she glances at each of them with a look of curiosity as she points a thumb back at the goddess."What's up with this sassy...Lost child?"Finally as the bubblegum kai begins to speak the elfen girl's eyes grow wide...That voice...No way that voice!!! She couldn't mistake that voice for anything else! She turns back around lightning fast towards the source of her goddess' voice! But...it's coming from that little girl!"Huh? 'Penguin Hero'? What's with the penguin part...Is that why you made me wear this?"In just a mere few words the young mechanic had been completely floored. This wasn't a sassy lost child at all! This was...Rumia?! The patron deity herself?!?! Ayami waved her hands in protest, her eyes still wide with shock! She had a nervous smile, not understanding this situation at all."H...Hold on! Hold on!! Did you say you're THE Rumia? The one I worship? The uh...One I always pray to for a chance to compete in the Budokai?"That last line was said with a clear tone of hesitance in her voice, perhaps embarrassed about praying for something so self-centered...She shakes her head however, setting all of that aside there was a big problem here! A really really big problem!"But the Patron Goddess has long brown hair, and snow white silken robes, and the tall body of a mature motherly woman! And besides that she also has big round boobies!"The 'big round boobies' comment was coupled with Ayami lifting her own breasts with her hands, shaking them briefly so as to emphasize what she meant when she said BIG boobies. ... Clearly she was going to draw some ire for that last one."Is this some kinda elaborate prank? Did you trick my Gramma or something...? But you seem to know a lot about us! What gives?!"Rumia was definitely going to have to do a lot of explaining to ease the poor water elfen's deeply confused mind. This whole thing went way over her head! Rumia

Kevin would step forward to answer Ayami's confusion regarding the small girl before her. Now smoking from a corn cob pipe he seemingly got from the pouch around his stomach, carelessly blowing it all up in Ayami's face as he explained the answer to her.
"That is your patron deity. Yeah you Shimakami's always react like this, always a riot to see! Your mom spent the first hour or so trying to find Rumia's non existant mother before she finally belived her"
After this Kevin would proceed to give a final puff of smoke at the young fighter before she turned back to face the Kai. A widely grinning Goddess who, contrary to popular belief and most store sizes was not in fact a child. Ah so here we they were. The trip through Ayami's dreams had proven to Rumia that the girl was finally ready to learn the art she had passed down to her family. An art to repel the evils of the universe. A power to keep those she loved safe, as well as the world around them.
Kamigoroshi no Shinken.
It along with the Holy Swords were her ace in the hole agaisnt any threat that returned. She had made this connection with the girl's family, teaching each new generation once they became worthy. Teaching them this sacred art she developed. She did this....
....And every time the next student treated her like a child. EVERY TIME! Here she was showing her true form to a mortal and of course they were treating her like a child!
She sighed, then smiled. Well that was fun in it's own way they supposed. She could look forward to the tons of unneeded apologies later she supposed!
"Your the hero of Penguin Village Ayami! You saw how they reacted to you right? That makes you a Pengiun hero! as for the outfit... concidence. This is just the traditional training garb those training under the style must wear! Feel free to wear it outside of our training though to~"
She teased, but would also like to see it. Knowing what she had seen of Ayami so far she was sure she would come up with some truly fun uses for it. Way more than Aya at least. Really, the only other thing she used it for was a fast food gig she had when she was young!
She giggled at the young girls reaction to realizing who she was supposed to be. Ah they always did react this way. It was so much fun to see considering THEY were the ones who somehow managed to get her apprence so off! Sure she appeared that way AT first. And sure it was probaly for the best that their wasnt a giant statue of her real apperance on display in Beansprout. But come on! The family could at least make sure they wearnt this shocked by it all! Ah well, it let her have all this fun at least!
"Yes I'm THAT Rumia! you'll be glad to know I heard them but... you know you can just go to the sign ups right?"
She sighed as Ayami listed off all the features she thought the goddess was supposed to have. At first Rumia was perfectly calm about this. After all it only made sense she would be so confused, and she could have her fin whole they did so.
"Apoligies, your family took my first apprence to heart and just kinda... refused to change it after. I'd have shown my true self in your dream but..."
And then Ayami mentioned that she should have big breasts, and that was what made the kai flare up, It was only made worse that she was shaking her OWN breasts to prove her point! Into her hands she poofed a whiffle bat and BOOM knocked it right over the girls head to vent herself!
"A...are you calling me flat?! Flat is justice you fool and I'm a goddess! Your deity! Do you prey to me like this Ayami huh huh?!"
The kai kept floating about her popping her with said plastic bat back and forth, until she finally stopped and floated back to the ground.
"Hmph! Besides, it looks like yours are going to give you back pain like your mother anyway!"
The kai finally calmed down and rubbed her head, putting her hands to her hips she decided to address the young girls worries. Hopefully she woudnt have the same difficulty she had with some of her ancestors.
"I can assure you I'm your goddess, I could tell you your birthday, favorite hang out, even your robot crush. We met in your dreams.... and I'm here now because it is my duty to pass down the teachings of your family's greatest techiques to you, the next generation. Ayami it's time to teach you... the art of the Kamigoroshi no Shinken"

Ayami coughed and sputtered as Kevin blew pipe smoke into her face, she waved her hands to blow it away as best as she could, staring down at the penguin drill sergeant penguin with a frown as he regarded her family so casually."H-Hey what's that supposed to mean?! I'll have you know the Shimakami clan is a PROUD bloodline! We wouldn't so easily be deceived!"That's what the elfen said on the outside, but on the inside she could only think one thing... "Yeah that's definitely my mom..." She pouted and turned around as that damn penguin blew another puff of smoke! So this...Was Rumia? Well, it was obvious that this set up was way too elaborate to be a joke. And Gramma was not the type of person to joke or even join in on jokes. So that meant this was completely serious. The patron goddess Ayami's family had worshipped for centuries, the one who personally passed her teachings down to each generation imparting wisdom and power that was necessary to hold back the tide of demons and protect humanity from unparalleled threats, the one who granted humanity their very existence...
Was this tiny pink woman.
Look, Rumia may have been flustered that the Shimakamis always saw her as a child, but imagine how THEY feel! Ayami was just completely dumbfounded by this! She honestly wanted to ask Rumia how her family could have possibly created the image of that motherly mature woman when Rumia looked like THIS...But it wasn't worth drawing the goddess' ire any further!
Ayami rubbed the back of her neck nervously as Rumia insisted that she was a "Penguin Hero" who had saved Penguin Village! That wasn't entirely wrong but...The young mechanic was clearly not willing to take full credit!"H...Hold on Miss Rumia! I didn't save the village on my own! I had help! A lotta help! Besides uh...I don't think this is exactly what they have in mind when they call me a "Penguin Hero". More than that! MORE THAN THAT!!! Why is the skirt so short?! If I do a high kick I'll flash my panties to the whole world!"And then Rumia gave her a horrible mental image by insisting this was the normal attire for her family's training. The elfen girl sighed, trying to shoo away the image of her old grandma in a short skirt."At least tell me the men in my family got to wear pants."Well, at least Rumia had heard her prayers...But wait! She could just sign up?!"I...It's that easy?!"So Rumia's first arrival was in that form, and the earliest members of the family simply took that to be her true form? Well, that made sense, but what didn't make sense was why Rumia didn't just...Show them the goddess' true form? Well...It was completely fitting for her family to just be stubborn and stuck to tradition...Ayami sighed exasperated.
... Although those thoughts had to be cut short! Ayami clearly touched a nerve by flaunting her bountiful breasts! The goddess was now attacking the elfen girl with a wiffle bat!"O..Ow! Ow hey! Quit!!! I'm sorry miss Rumia! I'm really sorry!!!"The inventor desperately tried to block the onslaught but for some reason it really reminded Ayami of her gramma's own scolding..."Hey! My mom didn't have back pain! I have bigger boobs than she did! I'm not gonna have back pain either dammit! I'm sorry so please knock it off Miss Rumia!!"Finally the attack ended, and Rumia began to explain that she could prove her identity as the elfen's goddess. She started listing off all these things she knew, but once she reached "Robot crush"...Ayami panicked as she glanced back at the penguins, she looked back and shook her hands in a panic, trying to cut the goddess' speech short!!"S...Shhh! Okay I believe you! I'll pray for forgiveness just dont mention THAT anymore okay?! B...Besides we're just friends! Definitely just friends!!!"Ayami finally gave a nod as Rumia insisted she was here to teach the family's art on to the young water elfen. The young mechanic sits down on her knees calmly, watching and giving another cooperative nod."Okay! I'm ready to learn!!!"... To say she was eager was an understatement. Rumia

It was quite entertaining to watch Ayami's reaction to everything. Even with the... implications the girl was making about her figure. Aya could have at least told her granddaughter... something! The old lady knew exaclty what she looked like after all. But nope, instead she had let her mom and now her grandchild have this surprise.
Oh well, if nothing else their reactions were fun to see, Ayami's were even more energetic than her earth mom's had been! Ah but Ayami wasnt so selfish as to take all the hero cred for herself ether, that reminded her more of her other mom! It was sweet to see, but Ayami didnt have to worry-she had already rewarded the other heroes involved!
"Oh don't worry Ayami, I've rewarded the Bunny Hero and Saint Hero!"
She giggled playfully, Ayami had likely already seen the costumes in question, and given she knew the other heroes in question would probaly make the connection quickly. As for the design of the outfit? Why it was perfect if you asked her! It flattered Ayami's form greatly after all.
"But what better to show just what town your the hero of Ayami? It shows your heroic penguin self! As for the skirt... what's so wrong with that? I mean, that just means Zeni would get plenty of panty shots yes?"
Rumia giggled at her statement, giving a knowing wink at the elemental when mentioning her crush. And the hope Ayami had that at least the males in her family were spared? The sly grin on Rumia's face should soon crush that hope to piece. She shrugged, a wide smile on her face.
"The men in your family worw short shorts, they hated if, especially your ancestor! Oh but then he got used to... even started wearing it during demon slaying without care... really it was slightly disturbing how comfortable he got..."
She rubbed her chin, deep in thought for that moment before a giggle escaped her lips once more at the memory. When Ayami expressed surprise at how easy it was to enter the tournament Rumia gave a dramatic pause, posing and patting her head, speaking in a drawn out, sorrowful.... but also clealry screwing with Ayami tone. It was complete with her pretending to wipe away tears.
....Yeah she was messing with her.
"Yes dear.... sweet Ayami sadly... it's that easy! I'm so sorry to bring this revelation upon you..."
The whiffle batting' would once Ayami apologized several times in a row, the kai giving a 'hmph' as she floated back down, then tossed the bat away. It wasnt like she could help how she was born more any other being! Sure she could modify her body if she really wanted to, but that would be blasfiming the great tree she was bour from! She was made from its roots, she would not insult it by using her magic to modify herself.
"You say that now, but wait till your older and they get bigger! Why your grandma had to ask me for help in her later years in reducing them! As much of a CRIME as I thought it was to do so, it was your grandma so I indulged her. At the rate your going... You'll probaly have it even worse~"
She was teasing Ayami, but she loved seeing her reactions. They were just to adorable. Her eyes sparkled at the way Ayami desperately tried to stop her from talking once she brought up Zeni. Ah young love was just so beautiful. Especially shy and flustered young love. But she would indulge her student in this mattered, it was only so fun to keep using the same tease after all. But not without leaving a few parting words.
"Fine fine ill stop talking about how much you looooove your little girlfriend~"
Ayami was ready to begin her lessons huh? Well chances are she'd regret that soon. Perhaps, because of the penguins she had begun to thing this training would be smooth sailing. If she did well... she'd be wrong.
"Kevin, everyone front and center!"
The penguins lined up around Ayami and Rumia. Rumia herself sat down and began to mediate as she spoke to her student.
"Our first lesson will be teaching you to sense energy. ah you already know the basics I assume, but this is something more than simple ki sensing. Your going to learn to sense Primordial Demon energy... God energy like my own... and demon energy like the ones these little penguins have! Well its diluted, but still good for our purpose~ This is all energy youd not normally be able to sense well. For now you'll only be able to see that energy as colors, but it's a great identifier. Gold, means your seeing someone like me. Black is a Primordial being and red is a demonic being! Now if your ready to begin I want you to follow me, sit down and focus"
Once Ayami did so the goddess would continue, maintaining her own meditation.
"This is a special divination techique, for it to work you must go beyond simple ki sense. You'll need to look into the life force of each person, specifically the life force of me and these penguins. For now I do not need you to accurately read our power, that will come in time. For now you simply need to reach out to us, reach out with yourself, read us... we are not so different from you, we are simply... made another way..." once you can begin to see our colors let me know, and we can move on. I will monitor your progress myself... and do not worry if it takes you time to do so, were going to take all the time you need sweet Ayami~"
Once she finished her instruction Rumia returned to her sitting position to watch the Elfin's progress.
She was eager to see how this most recent generation would develop, would it come to her naturally? Or would she need more work? Only time would tell.
"Once you can see our colors... we'll refine it until its engrained in your mind!"

It was odd just how amused Rumia seemed by all of this, even despite her rage over the breast comment. Was it something about the elfen herself? Ayami shrugged, shaking her head. The patron deity certainly worked in mysterious ways...But knowing the goddess had rewarded the elfen girl's friends did elicit a smile from her. Even if the choice of names was a little...Odd..."Oh that's great! They-Hey wait a minute...What's with those names?"It was pretty easy to connect the dots seeing as the young mechanic had seen both Tomina and Atsuko's "training" gear. Although now the question remained, just what exactly was THEIR reward in all of this? ... On second thought, Ayami really didn't want to know what exactly this mischievous woman had given the other two. Once Rumia poofed away the whiffle bat, the inventor would look the goddess right in the eyes."For the record, you don't have to reward me. Your uh...Appreciation is enough."The elfen girl averted her gaze, but spoke in a serious tone of voice."I mean it, honest."This goddess' logic was just absurd! There were way better ways to show that she was a hero! The elfen girl shook her head, grinning as she brought a thumb to her chest and held a proud expression on her face."Don't need a symbol like that! I've already got a jumpsuit at home! You should see it!! It's super rad just like my fighting style!!!"The young inventor brought her hands up to her face as she scooted closer to the goddess while still sitting down. She looked up at Rumia with stars in her eyes!"I bet you've seen a lotta different fighting styles huh?! Were there any cool ones?! Mine's the best right!!!"The elfen's nerding out over fighting was cut short as Rumia insisted the short skirt only meant Ayami could treat her android lover to a show. In an instant the excited expression Ayami held on her face turned to one of shock as her eyes went wide and a blush crossed her face."H-Hold on!!! I'm not gonna flash my girlfriend! What are you some kinda weirdo Miss Rumia?!"... Well there went her insistence that Zeni was "Only a friend"...The elfen inventor didn't even realize she let "girlfriend" slip from her mouth, either. She was far more focused on what the goddess had said! That shocked expression turned to one of defeat as Rumia insisted the rest of this family got no such mercy from the small pink deity. Ayami desperately tried to find some silver lining in this..."At least they wore shorts...Okay but...! My ancestor probably looked cool!!!"Poor poor Ayami...
She scratched her head over Rumia's odd display of faux sadness over the ease of signing up. She had a LOT more questions about that actually!"But I thought you needed to...Like, prove yourself or something! And Gramma says it's a death match! That's why she doesn't want me doing it...Miss Rumia can't you convince her to let me try?! I wanna be a Budokai champion!"The Elfen's face went pale as Rumia went on about how her breasts were going to get bigger, it had happened to her grandmother!!! How much bigger?! Ayami looked down at her chest in shock."H...Hold on! My chest is already plenty big! I don't need them to get so big they stop me from fighting properly!!!"Ayami sighed, finally calming down as Rumia promised to cease teasing her. That damn goddess...! Why didn't grandma tell the elfen this pink ball of bubble gum was so much trouble before?! Did Atsuko and Tomina get this much hell too?! The elfen tinkerer rubbed the back of her neck looking down as Rumia insisted on bringing up her girlfriend."We're engaged y'know..."Was all Ayami could stammer out under her breath as she fought back bashfulness over that whole thing. Rumia was likely already aware of that little fact, but it bared mentioning considering the relevance of it all. Setting all of that aside however, as the patron deity finally rounded up her penguins, it seemed this training was finally ready to begin! The elfen perked up immediately, still excited about all of this despite the hell she was in for!Their very first lesson as Rumia sat down was...Energy sensing? Ayami tilted her head as she spoke."Huh? But I already know how to sense energy! It's super easy! I just...Can't sense yours for some reason..."Come to think of it, that wasn't something the elfen girl had even thought of until it was brought up. She COULDN'T sense Rumia's energy, at all. It was as if she didn't have any at all. It wasn't a lack of skill - Ayami was confident in her ability to sense ki, and it wasn't a difficult technique even setting that aside! So why then? Was it suppression? No...The goddess was outright inviting her to try sensing the energy. There were so many hypotheses to formulate over this curiosity...But a simple continuation of Rumia's explanation of the lesson solved that particular issue."So divine beings, ancient beings, and evil beings all have an energy signature beyond the typical wavelengths of ki? So it's like some kind of...God ki! Fascinating! I'll have to study this more some time! Can I ask you to volunteer for study soon Miss Rumia? There's so much to learn about this!".. Right, training. Ayami shook her head and continued listening to the patron deity. It was all straight forward, for now without mastery the elfen could only see this "god Ki" as a visible aura, but eventually with practice she would be able to perceive the latent energy too. Each color signified something different. Golden aura was for deities like Rumia herself - And perhaps the Dark Goddess too. Black was for primordial beings, creatures who roamed the Earth so long ago, and creatures who perhaps weren't totally gone...And lastly there was red aura, which aligned with demons, evil beings who thrived on trickery, servants of the dark goddess herself. It seemed the penguins held this energy to some degree...Curious. The elfen gave a nod at Rumia's instruction and began to meditate."Clear my mind...Focus my thoughts on a single thing...And feel the living energy around me...That was how my Gramma explained ki sensing so long ago. You're not so different...Your energy is simply on a different wavelength...I need to change my focus..."Ayami took a deep breath in, filling her lungs...And then she exhaled slowly, feeling the air around her. She used ki sense first to begin reading energy...And then activated Deep Focus to enhance her awareness. At first there was nothing. There was no life energy to be felt beyond her own signature. But she thought back to her own theories...If this "alternate" ki energy was on a different wavelength, then the elfen simply needed to sense for a different kind of energy. She felt the void around her, seeking out anything beyond ki that lied in the darkness...And then she began to feel something faint.
No, it wasn't a feeling. It was something else. Some odd power shook her to her core, but she couldn't feel it. It couldn't even be DESCRIBED. Not in a way Ayami was capable of in any case. She opened her eyes slowly, looking at her surroundings, first to the penguins, and then to Rumia herself. There was a very faint glow around each of them. They had what could almost be described as an "outline", but it wasn't so simple either. The penguins were marked by a faint tinge of red...And Rumia glittered and gleamed in an odd color that could be approximated to gold. She was getting close! This had to be the energy she tapped into! The young mechanic now only needed to focus harder...The universe itself surrounded her soul as she looked outwards to latch onto this energy tightly. It evaded her and tried to wriggle free, but now that she had felt it there was no way she could forget it. Another deep breath, into her lungs...And then out...That strange "feeling" of something vibrating her very core became just a little bit stronger. The divination techniques that had been passed down to Ayami - Deep Focus's greater purpose...It was helping her to tap into this "god ki"...The faint outlines that surrounded the group became more pronounced, rather than something that could barely be seen, the elfen inventor was now able to clearly tell what color she was seeing, even if it was still weak."I...I see it...! What is this energy...?!"It was overwhelming. The flow of foreign power turned Ayami's stomach and threatened to throw her onto her back. It was clear this "different wavelength" wasn't so simple as a different energy...It was something that threatened to shake the elfen to pieces. For a brief moment she was grateful this power wasn't her own. - Because if it was it would probably kill her. She couldn't confirm that thought...But somewhere deep inside she simply "knew" it to be fact. It was time to try refining this grip...Even though its power was wholly overwhelming the young mechanic held on tightly as though letting go of what she could "feel" would be far worse than the feeling of holding onto it.Perhaps this was a struggle all mortals dealt with. Such a bundle of energy Ayami was, it was a joy to see. Didnt need a reward huh? Well she had already received it anyway! Though it was always refreshing to see a mortal not so obsessed with what they could get out of something. It just made the goddess all the more confident that she was ready to inherent the techiques she had passed down to her family. She was a kind and honest soul. She could use more work on her confidence regarding having a girlfriend, but that would come with time. What was nicest to see was just how pure and genuine the young woman was.
She would see her potential relized, for she was jsut the sort of person to fight back agaisnt the coming darkness
"Well well I'd very much like to see your outfit sometime Ayami!"
As for fighting styles... Rumia had seen many over her life. Poor ones, strong ones. Styles used by heroes and villains alike. Across the universe she had seen how many fought. Ayami was not yet the strongest she had ever seen, far from it. But it would be insulting to say she wasnt gifted, especially for someone born in an era of peace like this one. She had been impressed by her endeavors, and after meeting herself... she knew for sure she was ready.
"We have have a lot of work, you have a long way to go... but I'm very impressed with your progressed, you've made more than earthlings have in a very long time!"
She was proud to say that, and it showed in the smile on her face!
When Ayami questioned if Rumia was a weirdo the goddess replied with a shrug and a grin. She supposed that would be an accurate way of describing her. she was certainly 'weird' as far as gods were concerned, but it was hardly her fault most of them were such sticks in the mud!
"I prefer pervert, actually. But I'm willing to bet your girlfriend woudnt mind the view ether! Ones body is beautiful to those they love after all, in all aspects!"
Yeah the kai purposely used the word girlfriend rather than the androids name, to make sure Ayami realized her slip up. She loved teasing the more innocent souls~ The kai then blinked in confusion, as if what Ayami had said next was the most obvious think in the world. Well of course they looked cool! What student of hers woudnt look cool? her costumes were top tier after all. Of course all her female students were cute to go along with it, even sexy!
"Well yeah of course! they were the students of this goddess after all! What else could they be? Your mother and grandmother were quite the lookers in their day as well!"
Ah... Aya was clearly trying to keep her granddaughter safe. She wasnt entirely sure on needing to prove ones self, but she did know they wearnt dearh matches. In her experience the fights ended when one of the participants were ether knocked out or removed from the ring. It was sweet of the older woman, but Ayami would evenually need to spread her wings and grow. It certainly wasnt a matter of thinking Ayami was to weak... that was far from the case from what she could tell.
"Hmmm... if your sure you wish to enter, then yes I'll talk it over with Aya, see if I can convince her. Can't promise anything though! That womans as stubborn as they come"
Ayami's reaction was priceless, and elected a giggle from the kai. So innocent, so smart but so innocent. She was going to have a lot of fun during her training, that was for sure.
"Ah then you'll just have to keep me in mind wont you? I'd hate for you to be slowed down, though maybe you could make a whole new fighting style around a large chest?"
So-much-fun.
Though she didnt say anything allowed, she noted the announcement that Ayami and Zeni were engaged. As Ayami was her student she'd need to prepare a gift for her, something to share with her android lover. She had just the thing in mind, but first they needed to finish up the Elfin's first lesson!
"Study huh? well... we'll just have to see hmmm? I think you'll find in time this techique will be all you need for this"
The kai chuckled at the girl's antics, then made herself comfortable to observe her progress. At first she seemed to struggle but, The kai was sure that between her recent training with her grandma and the experiences she had so far she would get the hang of it. She would soon be rewarded as the Elfin gradually improved as time went on, when she called out her confusion at what she was seeing Rumia knew she was seeing it clearly, even if not perfect yet.
"Our life, our energy. Energy youd usually never be able to feel or sense. But through this techique it is possible, you can see the energy of gods, good... and dark. You will also be able to see the true face of Primordial demons apart from the regular ilk. Ok stop, thats enough for the moment, it must be taxing"
But for her first time she was doing wonderful. She gave Ayami a few minutes to rest, during which she would address any questions or concerns she might have had so far. Once she had the oppurtunity to recover Rumia would proceed to the next part in their lesson, Instructing the penguins other than Kevin to assemble in front of her as well as handing Ayami a blindfold modled after the penguin attire she already wore.
"Our next step will be getting you accustomed to that sense, were going to work on making it second nature to you... it will take some time of course, so dont expect perfection straight away. this cloth will blind not only your eyes, but your usual ki sense as well. This will force you to use only the techique I just taught you to fight. Now then... your going to fight these ten penguins until you defeat each one, your allowed access to any of your other abilities... but you will only be allowed to see with that sense, good luck~ This part took your grandma days to finish!"
Rumia would step back, and the penguins would surround the Elfin, once Ayami put on the blindfold.... the training would really start!
"And... begin!"
[Together the combined PL of the penguins adds up to equals Ayami's, so feel free to have the challenge reflect as such. Also feel free to have the training take over the course of the day or more if you so wish, the point is to get her used to it after all! As for techiques the Penguins use ki attacks, but mainly stick to the multitude of tools they posses on them and in their phany packs, so feel free to get creative with them, their playful and derpy things, but powerful as a group none the less-have fun!]

Rumia had agreed to see the outfit Ayami had made at some point, something that may very well have ended up being a mistake on the goddess' part. Ayami's enthusiasm went ballistic as her eyes filled with stars and she took hold of Rumia's hands, speaking with a speed completely unmatched!"Really...? You would?! You mean it Miss Rumia?! You're gonna be blown away by my unmatched genius! It's made from a super durable nylon hybrid fabric that's tear resistant, water resistant, heat resistant up to a temperature of 500 degrees farenheit or 260 degrees celcius if you prefer. AND it's coated with a flame retardant! It's also super flexible and breathable, and fashionable! I styled it in a cool blue color! It really brings up the color of my eyes! Aren't I a fashionable genius?! I'm gonna take the whole martial arts world by storm in that baby! The elfen inventor had to stop to take a breath from talking so quickly...Although as she did so she continued listening to Rumia speak, surprised that she had apparently made more progress than most people on Earth had in ages. The young mechanic let out a gasp, a shocked expression crossing her face..."Me...?! I'm honored Miss Rumia, really! I'm gonna keep practicing to become better and better until you can't even keep up with me anymore! Just you wait and see!!!"It seems the daunting path ahead of her did nothing to deter the enthusiasm she held for this. Certainly there were a lot of people out there who struggled with their power, but Ayami clearly wasn't one. It was hard to call her a prodigy of any sort. She wasn't born inherently stronger than anyone else, she hadn't even managed to master most of what she knew without years of dedication. But somehow she had shot ahead as a beacon of power on this planet...Perhaps it was simply her state of mind. The elfen never surrendered to difficulty. She was as hard headed as she was naive.Although when it came to the subject of Zeni, Ayami didn't really know what to make about it in regards to "Lovers enjoying each others bodies"...The elfen girl rubbed the back of her head, raising an eyebrow at the goddess' strange ways of looking at romance."I dunno what that means...Er, look if you're talking about reproduction, we're both girls so I think that kinda thing is a little beyond me. I mean I wanna have kids but I'm not in any hurry to reproduce y'know?"... One thing Rumia may not have realized about this naive girl is that while she fully understood what sex was and the implications of it, her view on it was entirely sterile. Sex was simply something to be done for making babies and nothing else. Ayami's strange mixed bag of knowledge was almost admirable...It was clear she was an idiot when it came to romance.
She also did her best to ignore the flirtatious comments aimed towards her mother and grandmother."Well, since you mention them I gotta know..."She wanted to ask something important...Something vital that was hanging heavy in her mind. She wanted to! But...No, she decided against it. Now wasn't the time. She had to focus on her own training, not that of others. As much as she wanted to know more about how much the rest of her family had fared in this training, it would have only served to give her something to compare herself to. That was an obstacle she couldn't possibly overcome. She simply shook her head, smiling."...Nah. Nevermind."She chuckled once the subject of her grandmother being stubborn came up. Ayami could only nod in agreement at the goddess' assessment of the family's matriarch."You've got that right. But...Thank you miss Rumia. I mean it from the bottom of my heart."It really did mean everything to her. The Budokai was a major dream of hers, and as much as she didn't want to defy the wishes of her grandma, there were some things this elfen girl simply couldn't let go of...This was one of them. So knowing she had a third party that could vouch for her, well...It was something she was really grateful for.
... Still...As the inventor struggled with the energy she was trying to connect to, she listened to the goddess speak. So this really was a direct connection to the energy held within the gods themselves...Well that certainly explained why Ayami struggled so terribly with this. It was giving her a splitting headache as she struggled to focus her vision on the patron deity. Dark gods...The elfen girl looked up at her master."You mean like...The Dark Goddess?"At Rumia's command the young mechanic stopped trying to use Divine Pulse. She pressed her hands on her knees and leaned forward, trying to catch her breath. It was like she had just run a full marathon without stopping even once. The splitting headache it left her with was as if a steam locomotive had just run straight through her mind blaring its horn the entire time. As she relaxed herself she looked up at the goddess."... Can you tell me more about her Miss Rumia? The dark goddess I mean. Why is she...Well, the way she is?"It was a being Ayami had learned of ever since she was a little girl. This family's mortal enemy, the dark goddess...To a child it was like the monster under your bed. And yet...Sometimes part of the elfen wondered...Why was this dark goddess their enemy? When had this started? Did something cause her to become like that? Perhaps due to her boundless naivety Ayami simply didn't - Or couldn't understand something like this. She also hesitated to take up that time honored tradition of the family's...Demon slaying."... Am I really going to have to kill demons?"Killing...It was something the young mechanic had taken an oath against. An oath with the android Zeni no less. It wasn't something she really wanted to think about, but at the same time she struggled with not wanting to go against the duties she had inherited. She had a family to bring honor to, and people to protect. She couldn't simply abdicate her responsibilities.Either way once the questions were set aside, it was time for the next lesson. And rather than one which involved simply sitting in place...This was one which would challenge the elfen's ability to use this power in the middle of combat. To sense where attackers would come from without relying on the power of ki sensing. To that end the young mechanic could only assume this blocker extended to Deep Focus's ability to sense movement in the air. Certainly part of deep focus was required to tap into the greater techniques of this school, but for part of it to be blocked out...It would take some adapting to how she perceived sensing. She could only glance to the goddess as she stood up, a look of concern on her face."But...How am I supposed to fight using a power that literally feels like it's rattling me to pieces? Surely there's some kinda trick! I don't know if I can handle this much energy..."... No. She couldn't talk like a quitter. If Rumia was putting her up to a challenge like this then she had to already have the skills needed to win this training. It was just...A matter of figuring out the solution to this puzzle that was being presented to her. Ayami gave a firm nod to the goddess, placing the blindfold over her eyes and tying it tight until she was sure it wouldn't move for anything. ... Putting that blindfold on was like plunging herself into an abyss. her ki sensing vanished in an instant, and the ocean inside her mind faded away into nothing, she had no senses to rely on beyond hearing and Divine Pulse. With a single phrase from Rumia the training had begun. Ayami focused her mind...And tried to tap into divine pulse's power. But doing so only gave her a splitting headache which caused her to immediately grip her head in pain! This naturally left her open. A penguin hit her with a kick from the front, knocking her backwards for a second penguin to strike her from behind and send her flying, when a third leapt up and did a falling scythe kick into her stomach, sending her careening towards the ground with a thud!"Guh-...!"The elfen fought through her pain and leapt back up to her feet, she had to keep trying to dive into this new sense...It was the only way she would succeed! She took a deep breath and reached out for that strange energy signature...Just in time to sense a penguin rushing her from the front!"I see you! Gotcha now-"... Unfortunately the longer she held this sensing the more debilitating it became. She couldn't even notice the penguin sneaking up behind her through the pain her mind was suffering. She readied herself to block the attack from the front only to get hit in the back! This left her wide open from the front as the penguin she had been ready to block simply jumped up and struck her in the face!"Damn! It!!"The elfen girl wiped blood away from her mouth, panting as she tried to keep divine pulse up as long as possible. But it was simply too taxing as her entire body began to shake. There had to be some solution...For now all Ayami could do was try to keep on the defensive as she tried to piece together a solution. But this defense was simply imperfect as she could only rely on hearing and a vague sense of power which was clouded by pain. She managed to block an attack from the front this time, and even reached back to knock away a penguin which aimed for another sneak attack! But then a third penguin from a distance threw out a bomb, causing an explosion which threw the young mechanic away and onto her back as she bounced several times before sliding to a stop! She let out a cry of pain as it shook her to her core. She struggled to her feet..."glaring" at where she assumed the attacker was."Playing dirty huh...You're gonna regret it when I pull this off you little punk."She spoke with a frustrated tone of voice, her temper was clearly starting to flare up...And the water swirling uncontrollably at her feet only served to confirm this fact. Anger was clouding her mind, and she had dropped divine pulse entirely, now focusing on trying to "brute force" her way through this battle...As she could hear the feet of the penguins closing in Ayami raised a barrier of water around her, listening as the attacks harmlessly "thunked" off of the water. A frustrated grin painted the elfen's face."This is for the bomb!"All the water surrounding her drew into her core...And then exploded outwards violently into a tsunami! It blew all of the penguins away. ... Or so it seemed. Just as a taunting chuckle escaped the inventor's lips, all ten penguins launched themselves through the barrage of water, readying themselves and firing off ki blasts! The air filled with dust as the elfen girl took a serious beating from all the attacks! As the dust settled Rumia would witness Ayami lying on the ground covered in bruises and scuffs. She struggled to get back up, shaking before falling back down."D...Damn..."The rage she felt had been effortlessly crushed. Brute force methods were never going to work against this squad, that much was obvious, but in her blinding fury Ayami failed to see it. Hours had passed in this battle, it was now late evening as she lied on the ground. Now that the anger disappeared her mind raced with thoughts...Was this the end? Had she failed without even being able to put her all into this? What was she missing? her body ached all over and her mind still wasn't strong enough to tap into divine pulse without suffering for it...It was like...Like...
"Gathering energy to expel it out all at once..."
The words of the saiyan knight called out to her mind through the haze of pain and struggle. And then the memories came back. She thought about Tomina and how the hybrid orphan used her power in bursts, how back on that day she used Deep Focus perfectly by merely sustaining it for very short periods at a time...That was it!!! It hit the elfen inventor all at once! If Divine pulse was too much for her in extended periods, then she would have to use it in small bursts! A grin appeared on her face...This time it wasn't an angry one, it was one of a person who had solved a serious conundrum. The young mechanic began to laugh softly..."...Hehe...Hehehahaha..."The penguins all stopped, staring at her in confusion as her laughter grew more and more. Through pained grunts the elfen forced herself up onto her knees...And then from there onto her feet. Even as her body protested against her, she took on a determined expression. She raised a free hand and motioned for all of them to come at her."You're gonna have to try a little harder than that."The penguins all readied themselves, and rushed forward at once for an all out attack! Ayami closed her eyes and put every ounce of focus into divine pulse...The world around her seemed to "light up" as she detected all ten signatures! She then dropped divine pulse, getting down and spinning with her leg extended! She knocked all ten off their feet! But the elfen wasted no time on a follow up, she activated divine pulse again to detect where they were, and then moved fluidly into a handstand, extended her legs outwards she began to go into a wild spin!"Yahoooo!"Her legs lashed out in the spin, striking all ten penguins one after the other and sending them flying before they had the chance to recover! As the penguins all hit the ground they each got up, glaring at the elfen with a renewed determination of their own! It seems they could finally start taking her seriously now. Two rushed her from the front while a third hung back aiming a bomb at her. Another short burst divine pulse revealed their plan to Ayami!"There's no way I'm letting you get away with that a second time!"The bomb was cast towards the inventor with wild abandon! Water surrounded the elfen's arm and she struck out with it like a whip! The water managed to harmlessly deflect the bomb... ... Straight at the two penguins rushing in from the front! Oh but the fourth who was sneaking up hadn't evaded Ayami's notice. She reached her free arm back and fired off a rapid cannon, striking the penguin as he leapt out to attack! Three more rushed in from the side, each one choosing a different place to attack from. Another burst of divine pulse revealed what each was planning! The first was aiming to kick her legs out from under her, the second, a strike to the face, and the third? He hung back, clearly waiting to finish the combo. A jet of water lashed out from the elfen's hand as she grabbed the sweeping penguin before he could close the gap! She wound her body back and launched him like a bullet at the combo finisher penguin, knocking them away! The final of the three immediately moved to change his strategy, aiming himself for a punch to the gut!"Leaving yourself wide open...I'm gonna make you regret that choice!!"The young inventor's feet left the ground as she twisted her body in the air, she extended her leg out for a kick...And put all her weight into a diving kick which struck the penguin as his eyes went wide in pain! As the two collided with the ground the land beneath them cracked from the immense impact, leaving a small crater which held the poor penguin! Two more penguins rushed in for a pincer attack...Ayami used the burst divine pulse again and moved into a handstand! She backflipped until her feet smashed right into the penguin attempting to attack from behind! The front penguin kept up as he readied his blades, but Ayami responded by...Backhanding him in the face. She spun on her heel as she did so, not stopping until she spun around to backhand him a second time! She then raised her leg into a knee strike as it came around on the spin! She dropped onto her hands as she lifted her body up in a low stance and began to spin on her hip, kicking him multiple times before she shifted into a hand stand and launched both her legs outwards to hit him with a finishing strike as she moved her body in an L-shape! The final kick sent him rocketing into the side of a small hill, kicking up dust as he landed."C'mon c'mon~!"But she had made a fatal error...She let her guard down believing she had beaten down all of them. The tenth and final penguin leapt up from behind, his eyes glowing with mischief. Almost as if on instinct Divine pulse kicked in again...And Ayami took notice of this final threat moments before striking! Her right hand balled up into a fist and began to glow as she spun on her heel!"Game over! TEN....SORYOUKENN!!!"Her glowing fist packed with energy hit the final penguin in the stomach, practically sinking into him as his eyes popped outwards cartoonishly. The impact was so great it sent him flying right into the arena's back wall with a loud thud! The wall cratered spectacularly as massive cracks ran all along the surface, destroying the illusion Rumia had spent so much time creating! As the dust settled Ayami's entire body began to shake...She raised her hand triumphantly, declaring herself the winner... And then fell onto the floor with a thud. A great amount of time had passed and she had taken such a beating that she finally succumbed to the pain. But not before managing to eek out a victory."D...Did I win...?!" Rumia HP: 400/1522 Ki: 20/100 Actions:1. Ayami used Divine Pulse to sense the penguins! (3/3) -Divine Pulse has been learned!- 2. Ayami used Full Power Tsunami in a rage to blow away her enemies! 3. Ayami used Rapid Cannon to knock away a sneak attack!

Post by Rumia on Mar 23, 2021 3:40:02 GMT
Rumia had a lot of exprence with the type of energy Ayami's family radiated. Even so Ayami had her own special touch, her own eternal battery going on. Her additude was an infectious personality that Rumia was very much enjoying the company of. She was a breath of fresh air from all the stress she had been through lately.
"Nothing would make me happier than to see your strength enter the realm of gods like me Ayami~
She truly meant it, even more than simply for the dangerous times to come, she loved nothing more than watching her creations grow. Well... techciully Ayami wasnt one of HER creations, but she did live on her planet, and was raised by humans-so it was close enough! Besides, Rumia already thought of her as one! Really the only downside was that she was... rather ignorant in the field of love. Well... that wasnt complelty accurate, more than anything it seemed she was ignorant in the field of PHYSICAL love. Their was nothing wrong with that, though she coudnt help but wonder if it was natural, or due to the influence of her grandma... Still it didnt mean she coudnt tease the water elfen none the less.
"Oh don't you worry, with me around you dont have to bother about with the restrictions of gender. Why if you ever want children just let me know! Well, assuming Zenk doesnt already have the needed equipment anyway! Besides, this type of interaction is about so much more than simple reproduction~"
Ayami began to ask her a question, but quickly cut herself off. Given she had just been talking about her family, she assumed it had to do with their own performances in these test. If so Rumia was proud of her for not asking, spending all her time comparing herself to her family would do Ayami no good. She needed to learn and grow in her own way, walk down and forge her own path. Because of that... she would not have told her even if she asked, she simply belived in her students own ability that much. She would not comment on this aloud however, the only acknowledgment being a knowing smile on the kais face.
Rumia quickly guessed the subject, not only that... but she was intrested in learning more about the 'Dark Goddess' as well. This caused Rumia to sigh, though not in annoyance, laced in her tone was more gr ik ef than anything. The kai woudnt lie to her student, despite what they had to do they still had to know the truth of everything.
"Akisei, her name is Akisei, I know its tradition but if you prefer to use her name you may. Why is she the way she is... that is a long story... I tell you what, I'll tell you her story as we go through your training ok? To start... once their were born two kai, both born to look over the same place, to look over and guide the mortals, like you. One of these kai was much more capable and deserving of the position, the other was stumbling, often making mistakes despite knowing what she was supposed to do... despite this, they were still both assigned this amazing position.... It was something that festered in the more capable kai for a while... but she evenually got over it, she even grew close to the other kai that was her partner. What she found herself unable to get over... was the performance of her other fellow kai"
Rumia paused, smiling, then booped Ayami on the forehead with her finger.
"And that's all for now! if you want to know more well... you'll just have to get to it won't you?"
As for demon slaying? Rumia had always allowed her students to follow their hearts on how the they handled them, so long as their threat was removed Rumia didnt mind if they were killed or pacified, if anything she preferred they were pacified, Rumia had never been a huge fan of snuffing out lives if it could be avoided. Their were exceptions of course, and she was no fool. But if it could be avoided? Yeah she liked that route.
"Whether you use my teachings to kill them or to pacify them I leave to you. My techiques are not for the express purpose of killing demons, it is to nullify their threat. If you wish to take that more difficult road... then it is what you must do, trust your heart. However..."
For a moment her tone turned serious, almost cold as she addressed the girl. This was important, and it must not be treated like a joke, or in any way that woudnt be taken to heart.
"You must never show mercy to a Primordial Demon. If you do they will kill you, they will take any oppurtunity they can to remove you as a threat to them. Unlike demons today they are made of nothing but evil, Demons have a built in bias towards evil, but they can learn better. Primordial Demons are born in it, forged from it and live in it. They will not show you kindness, they will not show you anything but whatever they can to destroy you, understand? I know how kind you are, I know of your promise to your girlfriend. But hear me, do not let them take advantage of that promise to kill you both, ok? If you show mercy to one, if you leave yourself vulnerable.... it will mean losing everything you care about"
She hated to be so cold about this, but she had to know the truth. She had to know what had to be done so that she and those she cared about would not suffer if they faced one of Akisei's strongest servants.
On to Ayami's training, Ayami questioned being blind, naturually but ultimalty accepted the blindfold, the first real step in her training starting in that moment. Rumia didnt expect Ayami to finish this phase anytime soon, it took even the best of her students a few days to fully master how Divine Pulse worked. It wasnt that she looked down on Ayami, it was simply a difficult techique to get the hang of, every techique in this art was. That didnt mean she didnt admire her determination to do so. Everytime her penguin friends blew Ayami down enough that she stopped, Rumia was their with some water, as well as to look over her wounds and insure she could keep going. She did not heal them, as that would invalidate the training, but she would have ended things for the day if she took to much.
No, taking a bomb apprantly was not to much.
She watched as how at one point the Elfen let rage take control, and payed heavly for it as it backfired on her compelty....She shook her head in response.
"Focus! your more than an active tea kettle yeah? Look inside yourself, I know you can do this"
The kai came over and wiped the dirt off Ayami with a smile, she was still good to go so she left her to it.
"If you can see them, you can see any demon. If you can see me, you can see any god"
She left the elfen with those words, then went back to observing her progress. She watched as it began to come to her, chuckled at the excitement she felt. On a nearby rock Kevin watched while smoking on his corn cob pipe, a small smile on his face as she began to overcome his allies.
One by one she began to counter them, one by one she began to strike them down with gusto. Yes she was truly seeing, Rumia coudnt be prouder right now! It all ended with one final, powerful blow on the final penguin that sent him flying off to the ground with the rest. As soon as the last one landed a roaring clap would be heard from the Goddess' hands in congratulation of the Elfen's accomplishment.
Ayami would see the small kai standing over her with a grin, she nodded the affirmation in case Ayami was to tired to hear-but of course she said it to.
"Yes Ayami, you win~ I'm proud of you"
Kevin had already gone about treating his allies, which left Ayami to he healed up personally by her goddess. Once Ayami was in a coherent state well... she had earned more of the story hadnt she?
"We will continue training tommorow, but for now you've earned the next bit of the story"
Rumia took a deep breath, and then continued.
"These two goddess' went on to create humanity. They were very proud of their creation, to them they were perfect-the best example of how crafting a mortal should be. They watched as their creation grew and overtime they grew closer as well... in time falling in love with each other. The more capable kai coudnt get over her feelings for the other Kai's but for her fellow goddess she felt nothing but love. But... the stumbling goddess... betrayed that love after a long time, and it became one of several factors that sent the more capable goddess spiraling down her path of darkness..."
She smiled lightly, if a bit saddened at that point. She patted the Elfen on the head.
"Now then get some rest. This was only the begining dear Ayami... things only get rougher from this point forward~ You'll need all your energy for tommorows training..."
The kai stood up, then grinned widely.
"Because tommorow you'll be training agaisnt Kevin personally for your next techique"
She let that hang in the air a moment before snapping her fingers, poofing Ayami into a comfortable room on her abode for the night. What told Ayami Rumia was still right there? Why, Rumia herself!
"Sweet dreams! remeber to count Zeni's till you fall asleep!"
[Rumia used her Art Of Creation:Cure to heal up Ayami for the next day!]

Yes as it turned out once the elfen got passed the shock of the kai's...Diminutive state, Rumia really was a fun person to speak with! Even if she said some odd things that went over the inventor's head, the fact was plain to see - The goddess seemed perfectly happy to speak with someone like Ayami. The young mechanic supposed that wasn't odd. I mean it was a deity's job to be able to converse with their followers right? It was only natural they'd have good chemistry! Maybe they could even be friends! The next thing the kai had to say caused Ayami's eyes to go wide..."Hah? Y...You mean I can have kids with her?! I'd love that!!! uh-... I mean, I wouldn't mind that some day I guess...How exactly would you accomplish that though? I know your power is great Miss Rumia! But can you really fix that little...Incompatibility? I...I mean Zeni's anatomically correct if that's what you're asking...Not that I know personally! I've just heard from the doctor! I dunno what else you'd reproduce for though. Miss Rumia you sure do talk cryptically sometimes!"Noticing the kai's...Concerned shift in tone and attitude caused the elfen girl to wince slightly, had she said the wrong thing by asking about the dark goddess? Her curiosity didn't tend to affect others this way. Ayami listened silently as Rumia began to speak, putting all her focus into understanding. So the Dark goddess had a name...Akisei. Then Rumia made quite a deal! More story in exchange for progress in training! That was a deal the inventor couldn't pass up! Ayami balled her hand into a fist and pumped it excitedly, nodding."I'll work extra hard to get the whole story from you!"The young elfen sat back and listened quietly as Rumia told of the beginning of this story. She told a story of two kai, one more capable, and the other clumsy and bumbling...They both ended up in the same role it seemed. Ayami opened her mouth wide in surprise, having never heard this story before...Not even aware Akisei was once just like Rumia."Miss Rumia...Are the two kais you're talking about you and Akisei? She was just like you then? But...Then why turn to evil? Were things really that bad for her? Even if she was stumbling that's okay! I stumble a lot too but I don't give up!"The young inventor grinned as the goddess playfully bopped her on the head, this action serving to elicit a chuckle from the elfen. She gave a confident nod as Rumia insisted she would have to work for the next part. And work she did. Against all odds Ayami finally managed to pull through and complete her training... The first step anyway. What Rumia said about slaying demons hung heavy in the elfen's mind...It was her choice whether to kill or pacify? Well of course Ayami would choose to pacify if she had the option. Her grin faded as Rumia spoke of something far more serious however...She spoke of course about the primordial demons. Beings born from evil itself. For once...The inventor showed fear. She was conflicted but she otherwise took Rumia's words to heart. It wasn't the fact that they would kill Ayami herself that bothered her. She was confident in her ability to defend herself, it was that when it came to those she cared about...She had to choose between taking the life of these demons...Or losing her loved ones."... Miss Rumia...I- I don't know if I can. I don't know if I can take that step. I'm not strong enough."The strength she referred to wasn't that of physical strength. Perhaps these primordial demons were above her, but no that wasn't a factor. When she said strength she referred to mental strength. - The ability to take the life of someone else without hesitation. Even knowing the stakes, even knowing they would kill her...Striking someone down was something she was incapable of right now. It wasn't just that it went against what she believed in...It was that she wasn't strong enough to go through with it.These thoughts lingered in her heart as she managed to pull through and learn Divine Pulse. She had become a great step closer to learning the family art...But she couldn't shake from her heart what Rumia had said. Would even completing this be enough to prepare her for what she would have to do? It may have been true that there were no Primordial demons left in the world...But there was always a chance one could come forth. There was always the risk that Ayami might one day have to take someone's life. It was a difficult thought that burdened her heart. Still...She smiled as Rumia declared her the victor of this battle."Told you I could do it...Nyehehe..."The goddess' soothing healing power served to stir Ayami from her pain-ridden stupor. The elfen girl blinked in silence for a moment before sitting up, looking to the patron deity. The injuries faded and though her fatigue remained, the young mechanic was now able to focus once more. She gave a tired nod as Rumia insisted they rest for tonight. A smile crossed the elfen's face as Rumia began to regale her with the next part of this story. The inventor simply listened silently, intent on understanding the past Rumia and Akisei shared...And why the dark goddess had become who she was."You two fell in love? Hey but then...She did something that made you go down a dark path?! Miss Rumia! I never knew that! Whatever she did it must have been awful to make someone as great as you sad!"Ayami's painful naivety shined through as it became clear the elfen didn't understand which kai was which in this story. The truth was that she simply thought too highly of Rumia to ever imagine her being a "stumbling kai"...The truth might have come as a shock to her, but for now this story had only just begun. As the patron deity insists Ayami should get some rest, the inventor could only give a tired nod. Her fatigue was catching up to her alarmingly fast...And being poofed into a comfy bed only served to speed up that process. The young mechanic was simply far too tired to question the change of location. And as Rumia spoke her final words, the elfen girl's consciousness faded and she drifted off into a deep dreamless sleep... Rumia
