Patch is a world ruled by the "Traditionalist" faction; An empire of saiyans who desired long ago that they wished to restore the legacy of their ancestors. Though originally earthlings, the Traditionalists left for space in order to colonize a world matching the description of Planet Plant, a world that was destroyed centuries ago. Though their efforts seemed fruitless for some time they would finally happen upon a little red planet deep in space. The leader of the Traditionalists named this world "Patch" after himself. The world is remarkably similar to Plant in many ways, possessing two moons.

However unlike Plant, Patch orbits a red star, was not previously inhabited upon their arrival, and is far smaller than Plant was, causing it to possess a gravity only twice as heavy as Earth's, rather than ten times heavier. Despite these differences, The Traditionalists are scarcely able to tell that the differences even existed - Mainly due to their limited access to historical records revolving around the world of their ancestors. They have made efforts to shape this world to fit their idealized vision of Plant, as such many will note that the landscape has been changed with purpose, but at the same time would feel alien to the lands of Plant. Rather than harsh wastelands, Patch is host to rocky mountainous terrain that seems to stretch on for miles in all directions - Terrain that the Traditionalists deemed "Fit for the kind of training our ancestors endured!". There are lakes in craters created by the saiyans as well.

The Traditionalists themselves call their culture "The ways of our ancestors", however it is a mere far cry from the ways of the saiyans of eons past. They live under an Empire that for the past century has sought glory not through war and destruction - But through guardianship of neighboring worlds. Their conquests are victory over would-be warlords rather than enslavement of worlds and eradication of races. On Patch all children compete in tri-monthly competitions from a very young age, all separated by age brackets. There is perhaps nothing more horrifying than a Traditionalist father mentoring his children for the tournaments.

Upon coming of age, Traditionalist saiyans are typically encouraged to join the Imperial army, using their learned skills to earn their own sort of glory against localized threats. Due to their upbringing Traditionalist Imperials are considered some of the fiercest soldiers in the galaxy, ironically mirroring their ancestors perfectly despite their paths being far apart. Their armor of choice are new-age recreations of the very same battle armor worn by the saiyan army from ages long past, although it is the same armor in appearance only. The methods of creating traditional saiyan armor have been lost to the ravages of time, therefore there is a large gap in materials and quality between the two types of armor.

They are a people who follow in the footsteps of their ancestors and yet take their own path entirely. An anomaly of tradition and growth created by a history shrouded in mystery. However their future is currently uncertain due to the recent assassination of their king. Currently in a state of turmoil and mourning, no one can be sure whether they will wither away like their predecessors, or steel their resolve and reforge themselves entirely; rising from the ashes of strife like a phoenix.
