Leviathan
Profile:
Character Name: Leviathan
Nicknames: Levi
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Hetero
Race: Demon
Age: 18
Birthdate: 1272
Personality:
Likes:
Learning - Due to living most of his life alone in Makai, Leviathan enjoys learning new things that he never got the opportunity to learn about before, seeming quite curious and interested in most things.
Tricking People - Being quite the troublemaker, Leviathan gets a kick out of pulling a trick off and messing with someone. For the most part, he tries to keep these tricks lighthearted and safe, not being particularly keen on someone dying due to his tricks, though harm is sometimes necessary.
Dislikes:
Being Lied To - Leviathan despises being lied to about something important. Tricks and the like get a pass from him, as they are simply mischievous pranks from others, but being led astray about a new piece of knowledge or history causes him to get quite upset.
Dark Urges - Leviathan hates feeling like he isn't in control of himself, and more than anything the dark tendencies that come with his demon blood lead him to hating it all the more. Alas, he can't do anything about it himself but struggle to resist.
Arrogance - Leviathan seems to be deeply triggered by people who show an arrogant and 'better than thou' attitude, finding them to be the most annoying type of people to deal with. He usually deals with this by being quite defiant, realizing that arrogant people seem to hate having their status challenged.
Strengths:
Cunning - Leviathan is the type to use every skill at his disposal to come out on top, often coming up with a plan in the heat of a moment.
Inquisitive - Leviathan prefers to have all of his options laid out before him, often asking questions to further his knowledge.
Weaknesses:
Dark Urges - As a demon, Leviathan struggles every single day against the corruption of his blood. While he does his best to resist these urges, sometimes that is simply impossible, nor is it hard to pressure him with these urges from an outside source.
Sheltered - Living his entire life in Makai, Leviathan has a severe lack of knowledge of most things that aren't directly connected to tricking people and survival. It is very easy to get him to believe something he has no knowledge on, as he has nothing to compare it to.
Vices: N/A
Leviathan being a trickster causes a lot of confusion as to what his 'personality' really is, as he treats a lot of other lesser demons like toys in a sandbox. It is rare that he actually gets to interact with those with actual intelligence, but the few times that he has interacted with others he could be considered a gentle soul when not trying to pull off some trick. He prefers making small talk with people, prodding them for what they are interested in and what they know, almost being like a child in that sense as he mostly just wants to learn from other's experiences.
As a demon, Leviathan oftentimes struggles with the darker tendencies that come with his bloodline. He does his best to resist them, but it isn't something he can always do. He hates this part of himself, and when prodded about the actions he takes while under the influence of his demonic blood he will typically lash out, not wanting to talk about it. Of course, the actions he undertakes could be considered evil in nature, almost becoming a ruthless psychopath for that period of time. Deep down he wishes that he could escape it all, but being unable to really hold them back he tries to not hold it against himself.
Leviathan believes himself to be quite the cunning individual, and while he lacks knowledge on most things, he uses what he does know to his advantage in any situation. If he can properly one-up someone in battle or a game of wits, he'll use whatever he can to do so. Though he does not like to underestimate his opponents in such mind-games, instead choosing to be cautious and gauge them first.
If someone is to truly get on his good side as a friend, it is possible that he could be quite the clingy person, as he hasn't been able to emotionally cope with anyone other than his inner thoughts. Some have tried to get close but he tends to leave before he can make solid friendships, and thus everything that could be thought about him in these situation is merely hypothetical.
Appearance:
Height: 177cm (5'9'')
Weight: 152lb
Hair Color: Red
Eye Color: Red
Face Claim Name: Killia
Face Claim Origin: Disgaea
Being a demon with mastery over shapeshifting as well as being quite the trickster at that, it is hard to say what Leviathan's original appearance is, or to even describe all of the different forms he takes up.
The form he takes up as his 'True Appearance', however, is that of a red-haired boy with elongated ears. His eyes are a blood-red color and his sclera sport a pitch black color. He wears a small black jacket that fades into a pair of wing-like fabric that float carelessly behind him. On both of his hands he wears clawed gloves that sport a scale design, with these same scales taking up residence on his chest as well. Blue runic tattoos can be seen softly glowing on his head and below his eyes. Through his many shapeshifts, Leviathan has lost sight of what he completely looked like before but this is about as close as he can recall. Due to being uncomfortable with this look, he typically only shows it off as an intimidation tactic or when he gets overwhelmed by his demonic urges.
The most common appearance that Leviathan takes up with his shapeshifting has minor changes overall to his true appearance, mostly made to seem more approachable, reigning in a lot of his demonic designs. His red hair and eyes turn a softer, more inviting magenta color, with his black sclera turning a more normal white color so as to seem less menacing. His ragged, revealing clothing is instead replaced by a suave white and grey suit with a red rose pinned on the front. He retains the same wing fabric coming out of the back of his suit, albeit fitting the color scheme more of his suit. On top of this appearance he continues to wear his demonic scale gloves. Despite not being his original appearance, he feels far more comfortable looking like this than anything else.
History:
Family: All Family Unknown
Home world: Makai
Starting planet: Makai
Home Town: N/A
Leviathan doesn't remember much about his birth, simply knowing that a feminine voice told him 'Goodbye, Leviathan' before abandoning him to fend for himself in the chaotic existence that is Makai. For all he knows, Leviathan wasn't even referring to him in those moments, but he still took the name for himself moving forward. The only other thing he is somewhat sure of is that his mother was a Succubus, though that is mostly speculation, and he has no real idea as to what his father was other than a demon of some kind, due to his pure bloodline. He likes to assume that he has noble blood from a high-class Demon, but that is mostly due to him having a high opinion of himself and wanting to think that something scandalous happened that they had to send a noble son away for, and is again merely speculation by him as to his unknown roots.
No matter what his origin is, it doesn't change how his life has been since then, spending pretty much every single day wandering around looking for ways to survive in the unforgiving landscape of Makai. As a child, he was a lot more rowdy and vicious, unable to quell the dark urges that come with his pure demonic blood. He spent his days attacking other demons, growing his power and developing techniques to defeat them in combat. He obviously wanted to be the top dog wherever he went, steering clear of any sections of the planet owned by demon lords as he simply didn't want to live under anybody's territory other than the Ruler of Demons who owned everything.
As he grew older, he started to take a bit more control over his life, suppressing his dark urges for longer periods of time where he'd be able to become who he wanted to be. He had already become a good enough fighter that he was content pursuing further training so that he couldn't get pushed around by others, but ultimately he instead put his efforts into mastering what would allow him to be considered a trickster demon. Primarily, he honed his skills and become a demon that was highly adept at shapeshifting, using this power mostly to fool others into lowering their guard or expecting something far different out of him. This was the groundwork for his trickery, and he became a far more lighthearted person because of it, not wishing to be too much of a bad person outside of simple nuisances that he caused to those of Makai. In his eyes, having their day toyed with by a nuisance such as him was a far better option than having a more savage demon simply crush them, and so he saw nothing wrong with his actions.
Throughout the years since then, it is safe to say that Leviathan has become an immensely sheltered individual, not being able to learn much of anything in terms of actual knowledge due to spending his time away from any controlled territory. He had no access to learning of any kind outside of tidbits he learned from other demons he ran into, becoming all the more curious for it. While he certainly doesn't consider himself dumb by any means, he knows that his overall pool of knowledge is far lower than others, he simply uses his limitations to their upmost potential when he can. Doing this, he usually uses his tricks as an opportunity to fish for information from those he runs into, having them lower their guard to tell him their secrets or simply bullying it out of them.
As of the current day, nothing much has changed for Leviathan. But he yearns for something far more than his current life, wishing to find a way to leave Makai and explore the outside universe, knowing that a wealth of knowledge is waiting out there for him to experience. And, well, there's more than enough people out there for him to toy with as well.

Roleplay Example:
A small hooded figure walked through the chaotic plains of Makai, searching for... anything, really, and yet it wandered anyways without a clue of where to look. As the hours trudged on, it would at last arrive at what appeared to be a camp of lesser demons. From the look of their few belongings, they seemed to be nomadic and just recently set up here. As the hooded figure approached, the demons would stir and look at it with curiosity, before the figure would suddenly collapse in front of their camp.
Within minutes, the figure was dragged into the camp and set by the fire, the smell of meat cooking in a pot. The figure didn't much care for what the meat was, most likely being some other kind of demon that was seen as prey, instead it simply wished to sate its hunger. Upon noticing that it was very much awake, one of the lesser demons would wander over and look them in the eye, the figure glancing up towards them with a look of curiosity as to what they were to do. "Oi, ya seem to be quite drained. How long have ya been walkin?" the demon paused before grabbing a simple bowl, pouring what seemed to be a stew into it. "Here, eat up kid." the demon spoke, as it handed the figure the bowl.
The figure would simply sit up, taking the bowl and pulling down its hood. Upon inspection, it seemed to be a lesser demon itself, having very ogresque goblinoid features and bright yellow eyes. It was definitely a young creature, no matter what it was. 'That's odd... I surely thought they would try to eat me. It's rare to find that kind of care around here... a shame.' he thought to himself, taking a nice sip of the stew. Upon feeling the heat fill his mouth, he let out a relieved sigh, drinking the entire stew in one overzealous gulp. "Ah... well, I've been wandering my whole life I guess..." he mumbled, glancing at the demon again to see their reaction. The demon simply looked down and shrugged "Don't we all I suppose... got a name squirt?" the demon asked, looking interested in the boy, only being given a simple smile in return. 'A name... I need a name... let's go with Roz this time...' he simply thought to himself "My name is Roz... so who are you people?" he looked around at the group of lesser demons who seemed to be minding their own business for the time being.
The same demon as before would be the only one to speak up. "Us? Well... we used to work for a lesser demon lord but she kicked the bucket! Now we simply want ta find a way off this rock, this place blows..." the demon looked down, seeming to lament living in Makai, before continuing on "We heard there was possible a way out but... we haven't been able to find it. Feel free to stick with us for the time being!" the demon simply let out a bit of a laugh, offering the boy a spot in their group. 'So nice... that mindset doesn't work at all, I've tried... besides, you don't even know me... what if I hurt you...' he thought to himself for a bit, before simply smiling and nodding "I... could use a home." he responded, a bright grin on his face.
The group sat around talking for a while longer, before they all decided to rest. The boy remained by the fire for the time being, staying up for a while longer before his body started to shift around, a youthful looking humanoid demon taking it's place. He stood up running a scaly gloved hand through his bright magenta hair, smoothing the collar of his suit with the other. "Eh, they were nice... I'll leave them alone and find someone else to mess with." Leviathan would simply sigh after revealing himself, picking up a sack of food that was laying by the campfire. "I will take this though..." he mumbled as he eyed the bag, before walking towards the edge of the camp.
Before he could exit the camp completely, a voice would shout out to him, catching his attention. "Oi! What did you do with Roz you scoundrel!" a familiar voice would call out to him, Leviathan glancing back to notice the same demon from before charging up a ki ball towards him. Leviathan would simply smile, turning towards the demon. "Oh...? Who knows... maybe I even have him in this sack..." Leviathan would start to spin the sack, before tossing it a few meters away. "Didn't know you'd be sentimental towards em, else I woulda snuck out." Leviathan chuckled a bit looking at the sack on the ground, glancing towards the other demon to see his response. "You monster! You greater demons are all the same, acting like you can take whatever you want! He was just a boy!" the demon roared out while firing his charged up ki blast at Leviathan.
Before the demon's very eyes, Leviathan's body contorted a bit from shapeshifting, before breaking apart and completely avoiding his ki blast. Upon reforming, Leviathan had already closed the gap with the lesser demon, a smile on his face as he stood before him. "You're right, and I guess now the next thing I'll take is your life." he'd mutter, a fiery glow appearing in his hand as he'd hold it in front of the demon's face. "Seeya in otherworld old timer." he would say with a blunt, menacing tone as all of a sudden confetti would pop out of his hand, covering the demon with paper-shaped ki that would then disperse into the sky harmlessly. "Wh...What?" the demon muttered, looking at his own unharmed body confused as to why he was still alive before simply looking up to Leviathan as if silently asking 'why?' with curious eyes. "For starters, I'm no greater demon, I'm just a wanderer." Leviathan scoffed a bit at the thought, though he really had no way to know if he was or not in terms of blood. But all he did know was that he was an outcast in life. "Also I was that boy, I'm a shapeshifter and I was planning to play a trick on you all but you were too nice." Leviathan chuckled a bit as he put his hands on his hips, proud of the fact that he was able to fool the other demons even with something so ultimately pointless. He then glanced to the sack that the demon thought the boy was in. "I'm taking some of your food for the road though." Leviathan gave the demon a warm smile, raising his hand up for a wave "Hope you guys can find a way off of this hellish world, maybe I'll escape too and we can all meet on the other side." Leviathan spoke before starting to walk away again, picking up the sack of food once more and slinging it over his shoulder.
Once more, the demon would call out to Leviathan, simply asking. "So.. do you have a name? Really, this time..." Leviathan looked somewhat shocked hearing this, glancing back and then simply giving the demon a smile. "Leviathan. Seeya around." he responded with a soft, kind smirk, before finally departing. He was once more back at the mercy of this hellish world, walking the plains of Makai in search of... anything.
