Thread PL: 90 It was a day like any other in the Brenchian Citadel. It was the early hours of the morning and people were getting up and going about their business. The work commute was crowded, as it usually was. Yes at first it just seemed like an ordinary workday, of Brenchians going through the motions. People who were trying their hardest to sustain themselves amidst the chaos the PTO was engulfed in. Yet in front of the Brenchian Senate Chamber building, a crowd was gathering. And most of them were not Brenchains. It was hard not to miss the group of tall, imposing Salamanders dressed in black colored robes. The robes. The center of both the back and the front was adorned with the symbol of Veorfolnir, a religious faction within the Salamander race. While a black cloak seemed to counteract a group who believed in restoring their world’s light, the whole design was more intricate than it seemed at first glance. The edges of the robes were of a lighter black that was almost gray. It got darker and darker as it got closer to the center. It was the darkest around their crest, the white tree of Yggdrasil. They had gotten permission to rally here a month in advance. Most of the morning was spent setting up the microphone equipment on a temporary platform build off to the side. They had to check to see if the broadcasting equipment and cameras were functioning properly They had to make sure that they didn’t impede anyone who needed to go into the building. Blocking the people from the meeting wasn’t permitted. Of course, that wasn’t their intention anyway. They finished making their preparations in a couple of hours, just around the time most people came in for work. They had gathered a crowd of curious Brenchians to the affair. A couple of Salamanders got into position behind the camera. Asynia stepped onto the tallest of the platforms, wearing the same robes the other members were wearing. She wasn’t as tall as the other Salamanders around her: A lot of them were at least a full 7, and a couple were 8 feet. Asynia was only a little more than 6 feet. And yet she stood there like she was taller than all of them. There wasn’t a trace of nervousness on her face as she scanned the crowd. Her tail was wrapped around her waist so that it wouldn’t knock down the microphone. She tapped it a couple of times to make sure it was on. She glanced over at the Salamanders who were manning the cameras. They nodded at her. It was time to begin. Asynia cleared her throat, picking up the microphone and addressing the Brenchians. “Brenchians, I am Asynia of the Veorfolnir. My comrades and I stand here before you, seeking to help you in these troubled times. And we ask for forgiveness, for our race’s role in your current predicament. Many ages ago, the Planet Trade Organization was a prosperous power that brought economic stability to Brench. It was torn apart by the Knights of Yama, leaving us all in chaos. My people stepped in to ensure that the galaxy wouldn’t fall into chaos. The Salamanders stepped in and formed a new governing body, a council that sustained the PTO.” Right now, Asynia was speaking calmly, but firmly to the Brenchians. She wanted to give them a moment to soak in everything she was telling them. Right now wasn’t the time to stir emotions. She had practiced this for so long. The crowd was muttering amongst themselves. Asynia took a deep breath and continued. “And yet we failed you. We failed the Galaxy. My race’s complacency has sent the entire galaxy into chaos. The members we once had on the council have long since resigned. We left the galaxy to fend for itself. Perhaps it is for that sin that our tree of life is diminishing. The Light of Yggdrasil is now fading. Our entire galaxy is facing a crisis of unprecedented scale. We of Veorfolnir wish to help you rebuild the PTO once again. To make atone for the sins our race committed. But first, we will humble ourselves before you. Let us have a moment of silence, to pray for your forgiveness.” Asynia bowed her head. All the other members of the Verfolnir followed suit. They clasped their hands together in prayer, closing their eyes. Asynia could understand the suffering these people were going through. Her own world was starting to fall into the darkness. Chaos was threatening to break out among their people. That was why she would lead these people to a better life. For them to bring back prosperity to them once again.

[Thread Power Level: 90 (Currently being suppressed to 10)] He had come to the Senate on important business. It was the first day of negotiations...Naturally this world's peoole were running on tensions even higher than normal. Strange beings coming from another world, all here to change their governing power? A majority of those Vali passed stared at him with suspicion, hatred, even...Fear. Though these people launched a volley of negative emotion his way he ignored their glares. He certainly couldn't blame them for feeling the way they did. Their world was already on the brink of turmoil, he would never blame them for being distrustful of someone who hasn't shared their experiences. The Salamander diplomat being surrounded by guards and advisors only made him look all the more imposing as his stoic facial expression remained unchanging.... But what he saw as he arrived at the Senate Hall's entrance shattered his stoicism in mere seconds. Those black robes...Those damned symbols...He couldn't possibly forget them. After all he had worn one himself not so long ago. The Veorfolnor...A cult. There were many on Lemuria who worshipped Yggdrasil as a deity. But the Veorfulnir took that devotion to another level entirely. Their leader disgusted Vali...He always had. Feeding his followers a narrative of uncertain hope - One that only became more dire as Lemuria faced its recent crisis. He scanned the robed figures, and there among them stood...None other than the girl he had worked to protect for many years. Asynia was preparing a speech even as Vali's diplomatic entourage approached. But what happened next made his stomach turn...He allowed her to speak. As much as he despised the words she was uttering, he would be a fool to interrupt and draw more negative attention to himself than he already had. But once she paused for more than a moment...He stepped forward. He stepped forward past his guards, he stepped forward even as his Advisors desperately whispered for him to stop. He looked up at Asynia from below her pedastal, and he stared at her with a blank expression."Do not forget it is the knights of Yama who freed this world from slavery..."He turned to face the cameras Asynia had her men set up. He raised his voice so that all watching could hear him. He wanted to make the records clear. He would NOT allow the true history to be forgotten."...Or have we all already forgotten that hardly 300 years ago this world and thousands of others were no more than mere merchandise to the PTO's tyranical ruler? Your ancestors were not given luxuries. They were barely given their very lives."He gave a sigh and an angered expression before he continued."...Though I loathe what my father accomplished, he did not do this to take away your heritage. He and the Yggdrasphere intervened in order to save you from all out planetary war. They wished to ease your suffering. And though we have made many mistakes along the way, I am here to assist in restoring you to a new golden age.""Do not be led astray by the words of the Veofulnir. Our situation is not a result of our mistakes. It is merely a tragedy that we must band together in order to survive. In this way I feel all of you can empathize. I have not exprienced your hardships, I can never claim to understand you...But never forget one thing. He pointed to Asynia, never taking his eyes off of hers."I am Vali, son of Ymmir! I swear by the honor of my bloodline that I will unite our two worlds and help the PTO's people to rejoice once more! I will return song and dance to this world, and in turn return the light of Yggdrasil to mine. You need only band together. And never forget history. We prospered together once before. We shall do so again." Asynia

Everyone’s attention was brought to Vali as he stepped onto the stage. Asynia’s eyes widened in surprise. Her father had told her that Vali was likely going to be an opposition in the proceedings within the PTO meetings. But she hadn’t expected her former mentor to step in like this and impede upon her spotlight. Asynia was conflicted about how she felt about her fellow Salamander. In some ways, she trusted him more than anyone else. At least on a personal level. Her father had never acted like a father. Vali had been the only person to treat her as just any other Salamander, and not as a prophet like everyone else did. And she was grateful for that.
But now he was an obstacle. He was already impeding her progress towards prosperity. Her father had told her that his heart was in the right place, but he was too idealistic with his goals. And so she had to stand against him. As much as she wanted to believe in his words, that he would be the one to bring prosperity back to the galaxy, she couldn’t. For she was the Prophet of light: the one destined to restore light in a dimming galaxy. Asynia cleared her throat, looking over at Vali.
“I haven’t forgotten that either, brother. That tyrant's rule was nothing short of brutal. But the Knights of Yama were short-sided in their methods. Their intentions were good, but they destroyed the PTO structure without a plan to establish a new government. They left things in disarray, and our race had to step in to fill in the void they left behind. It became our responsibility to stabilize things, and we failed them in the end. Once again the galaxy has fallen into chaos. But it does not have to be this way!”
Asynia pivoted on her feet to face the crowd again, extending her arm in front of her. In that instant, her normal calm tone was replaced by blazing passion, her voice ringing throughout the square.
“Our races are the ones who have always fought for peace and order! The Frost Clan enslaved you under their thumb! The traditionalist Saiyans are mercenaries for hire, who have no interest in fighting the problems plaguing our races! The Earthlings, Elfen, and Fae live peaceful and prosperous lives, isolating themselves from the rest of us! The Brenchians and Salamanders dedicate our lives to keeping the galactic peace! We dedicate our lives for the sake of galactic stability and prosperity! Yet the other races have either enslaved us, or have forsaken us! The only people who can drag ourselves out of the darkness are ourselves!”
Asynia withdrew her arm, holding it close to her chest. She kept her focus on the crowd. She had to keep going forward. With Vali here, she could not afford to let her momentum slip away.
“Our two races should stand together once again. To that end, Veofulnir is donating 10 million Zeni towards public services on Brench. It’s a start towards a much more concentrated effort to give funds to those in need. We need a stable government and the resources to put money where it's needed! To that end, we of Veofulnir are supporting the group best suited for this task. The Frieza Force has a plan to create a stable economy! The Salamander and Brenchian races will reach new eras of prosperity, together!”
Asynia pounded her chest, her voice blazing all across the planet. For the crowd that was actually present, the promise of a better world was enough to sway them. Many of them clapped, cheering the Veofulnir. While not everyone in the crowd was on board with her speech, the air was full of the cries of those who were. Asynia was promising them all a better world, and was spending money for them. To those people, the Veofulnir were true to their word. They would make things better for all of them.

Once again Vali waited for a pause in her speech. But...He couldn't believe the words she chose. It was so unlike her. The only thing that matched was the passion behind those words of hers. It was clear that she was using his own counter speech as momentum to win the people over. ... But he wasn't going to let it end with that. Once she had stopped speaking he looked her in the eyes and asked her one, simple, piercing question."Tell me something Asynia. Are these your words...Or your father's?"He continued as his counter was launched from that simple question. Now his plan instead was to dismantle her support. If he could delegitimize her argument then the Frieza force would gain no traction."That's strange. You claim to oppose Frieza's history. ... And yet here you are supporting the Frieza Force! If I didn't know better I would think you believed in your own words."He lowered his head, giving an annoyed sigh before he continued speaking..."I cannot argue with one point at least. The Brenchians and Salamander are interconnected. We must suppurt one another, for no one else will do so! HOWEVER!"Vali turned to the crowd, he moved closer to the microphone so his words could be heard loud and clear."The Yggdrasphere is intent on providing Brench with Monetary support the likes of which the Veofulnir could never hope to match! And we will not support extremists, we shall support the will of the people instead!"The crowd booed as Vali spoke to them. It was clear that many had been pulled in by Asynia's charisma. It was...One thing Vali severely lacked. He had the words down even under pressure. But he was as charismatic as a rock."You may be displeased with me now, but I will not give up on you. Any of you. I will protect you from the misguided intentions of those who wish to bring you harm. All of you." Asynia

"Tell me something Asynia. Are these your words...Or your father's? You claim to oppose Frieza's history. ... And yet here you are supporting the Frieza Force! If I didn't know better I would think you believed in your own words." Asynia’s face didn’t change, even as she turned to look at Vali. Her tail unwrapped itself around her waist and slid onto the floor. The tip of it tapped the ground repeatedly. For anyone who didn’t know about the Salamander race, it would be easy to miss the change in demenor. For Asynia’s face did not betray the irritation she was currently feeling. “I am the prophet, Vali. My words are not mine alone. My voice expresses the thoughts of all Veorfolnir. My words were not scribed by my father, the High Priest. The Frieza force of this age is composed of Brenchians, not by the Frosts. The Brenchian people will not suffer under another tyrant again.”
Asynia turned back to the crowd as some boos rang out. Her tail wrapped back around her waist. She waved her hand down to get them to quiet up. Once the crowd noise had faded, she spoke up again. “Do not cast hate on him for having a different opinion. For he wishes to help you too, to dedicate resources to returning you to past glory. Yes money is an important factor towards that end. But that alone isn’t enough. You need a government! A stable economic system! The Frieza force is the only Brenchian group with a sound plan to accomplish that! Ultimately it is up to you who decides who takes power. Don’t let one of the other factions decide for you! The Salamander race will stand beside you, no matter our differences! Let us walk to a bright future, together!”
Asynia then walked over to Vali, and grasped his hand. She then raised both her and his arm into the air. A roar of applause broke throughout the crowd. Despite the fact that Vali had interrupted her speech, she had not chastised him or argued against him. No, she wanted to work past the differences and do all she could to help these people. That one act conveyed that clearly to the crowd of Brenchians that had gathered. To them, the Veorfolnir looked like a group dedicated to making life better for all of them.

"Haha! oh oh shes bribing everyone now! ahhh that's boring, boring! win through words not money"
Though the crowd seemed to be on the girls side Motet wasn't. To most that likely seemed to be because she was childish and didnt know better. But people who assumed that would be very wrong. Motet was quite childish, that was true. But she was also brighter than most relized. It was that combination that allowed her to see through what others could not. She leaned back on the small post she sat on, looking back at her partner, the one had wanted to come here in the first place-Vaneera.
"Fake, she's fake Vani"
That of course wasnt to say she was a fake salamander-or even that she didnt belive what she said. When Motet called her fake she meant fake in the same way Vaneera would have recognized Motet as 'fake' at one point. To most those words were just her word. But Motet knew better. Those wearnt her words those were his words, the guy that let her speak. She was curious.
"Do you think she knows their not her words?"
Really the childlike way she spoke probaly came off like a puzzle to most, but Vani usually understood what she was getting at. She probaly understood even more than Motet did by her own words in fact. It was funny, she did that a lot!
Motet was raised the same way after all, it was why she could so easly identify the signs. She didnt fully understand why but Vani said her mom was being bad. If that was the case this woman's... dad she assumed? Must also be bad.
"Vaniiii this is boring, and all the people here are dumb anyway buying into fake words... can't we go now?"
She thought it would be more fun than this. It was a negotiation after all! Where were all the epic counters to each other? She supposed the people were being rallied but that was all... but they were all being dumb so it wasnt as entertaining as she thought. Vaneera had wanted to come here to gather information, to use for her own plans if need be. That was fine and all but... was their much else to gain here? The only one not throwing around fake words was the male salamander with the cool tail. The brenchian sighed, her boredom with it all apprent. Something that would again seem childish to any around her.
Well, at least she wasnt buying into the words of a fake~

[Thread PL: 100] [Suppressed to 5] There was a pretty strong juxtaposition going on in the crowd, not that anyone could really pick it out from the crowd that gathered to hear everything going on. All eyes were on the pair giving a speech. Motet was making her own opinion on the matter pretty clear, which prompted Vaneera to smile. " Money's unfortunately a powerful incentive. You can pay off a lot of things." Even though they were the same age, it was like a night and day comparison. Vaneera conducted herself as the wizened adult of the pair. Considering the differences in their upbringings, it was easy to see why that was the case, but it was probably still off-putting for those actually able to observe it. " Of course she's fake. Like a lot of politicians, she knows how to butter people up. Say all the things they want to hear." The exchanges continued like this. Vaneera did come here to collect information. But she did have a little surprise planned too. For the group that organized this little show, and for Motet. Now it was just a matter of waiting for the perfect time. " Given how she's acting? Probably not. I'd say she believes it with all her heart. Doesn't make it any closer to being truth." She replies. It was getting pretty close now. It looked like Asynia was turning the tide of the debate back into her favor... Really, she couldn't ask for something better than that. Motet, on the other hand, was just about fed up. " Oh, Motet. You won't wanna miss this. Pay close attention." , she then encourages her friend with a small grin.
And here we... Go!
Blessed Blumina was already hard at work for her assignment. Hacking into the live broadcast was a hell of a way to kick things off. It also took a meticulously crafted plan to ensure that there would be no evidence to work with. But they were military; privy to knowledge that allowed them to do something this batshit. Right as Asynia raised her hand along with Vali's..." Heh, sorry to bust up your show..." With a final stroke on the terminal, the live broadcast suddenly cuts to something else entirely. A figure in a black cloak with a faceless mask." I don't know what's more laughable. The fact that you're supporting the Frieza Force, or that you think we wouldn't have noticed." , a heavily modified voice speaks, booming throughout the Citadel. Backed by a song playing just loud enough to be discernible." Or that you think you can just bribe us off with as much money as you can scrounge up." , the unknown figure continues. " Either way. We're taking it as a declaration of war. Nothing good can come from bringing those corrupt individuals back into power." The figure then calmly raises a hand, with the index finger extended. " Now, I know what your counter would be. "But they're Brenchians", right? That doesn't change that they still hold dangerous ideals. They're still called the Frieza Force." The figure then lowers the hand. " But don't worry, Asynia." , and even though you couldn't see their face... You could just imagine how smug they are right now." No hard feelings." The broadcast then ends just as abrupt as it started.
Blessed Blumina tore out all the memory shards from the terminal she used, and makes her way out of her location. Even if they tracked the source somehow, they wouldn't find anything there; place would be abandoned." Mission accomplished. Recording was sent out loud and clear." Vaneera was now content to just see how they reacted to all this. No doubt it was going to be quite chaotic. This of course leaves the question of how she knew so much in advance. Well, since it all had to be cleared with the Senate... She has a man on the inside; her own Father. Getting the information wasn't that hard, although it wasn't his intention for her to do this when he told her about it.
But it was done now. The gauntlet was thrown down. And now, she just wondered what Motet thought about it. " Now that... Is how you spread a message, Motet."

Thread PL: 80
Gazing down and out across the distance of more than a dozen blocks were the eyes as deep as the void. This really was something outside the norm. In the last few months work had been steady, constantly improving her reputation which led to her life following suit. It was perhaps for this very reason though that Lilith sat on the ledge at the height of a skyscraper. High enough in the sky that the winds would chill her very bones if it weren’t for the remains that cling to her vessel. None would see her from where her eyes focused, even to her everything looked more like dots than actual entities. The words that were spouted from their inflated egos that much Lilith was absorbing like all others. A small radio turned in on the broadcast that these self indulgent scum eagerly provided for all as if their opinions were as essential as food.
“Bickering one another over just what course of action will eventually lead to further weakness. How ignorant to nature can these fools actually be?”
Lilith questioned aloud to herself simply stunned. In her eyes there was only one course of action that could fix the issue the universe believed itself facing. However, none would believe her nor would they take such actions and thus issues would continue to fester. No real trouble for her though whether or not Brenchian and Yggdrasil civilization collapsed. As long as people survived there would be people to kill so she would always have work. She would always survive.
It was getting a bit more interesting when the two lizards got close to one another yet nothing came of it sadly. Watching as a diplomatic talking event breaks down due to speakers physically clashing against one another. “Now that would be a spectacle worth attention.” After another fete moments though Lilith found that it seemed she wasn’t the only one with intentions of making this little event a bit darker.
Listening to the shift in control over the broadcast and then the message sent from this new player. “War huh? Sounds like fun.” Lilith grinned knowing that should war actually come to this buzzing planet then hundreds of thousands would die. The culling of the universe would truly start to commence. She’d have a stage set for darkness to grow, flourishing throughout the lost and seeping through the guilty. A pleasant possibility to the young shadow yet not one she would hold out hope on someone else achieving.
“What do you think, senator?”
Lilith turned gazing down at one of the Brenchian political appointed leaders. The man wounded and bound on the ground. His arms were broken at both elbows along with the phalanges of his hands suffering from repeated fractures over the course of the last several hours. At this point both his hands were essentially crushed along with any chance of movement or full recovery impossible. As for his response well the man had cried a mixture of fear, pain and worst yet pleading.
Just waiting there for the end to come we’re the actions of this proud young Brenchian. A man appointed for the people of the slums. One that had kept promises and truly fought for those he knew. His spirit accompanied his hands.
“Oh don’t be like that. Ignoring others is very disrespectful. You don’t want to do that to a citizen of your planet now do you?”
Lilith got up off the edge of the building making her way over and picking the senator up from the ground. “My word I really don’t get why someone so weak was put in a position of power. How can anyone look to you for comfort? Strange thing hope, it gives the weak this believe they have a chance in the universe. Thanks for helping me show them such a thing is a waste.”
Unbinding the senator was the last thing she had left to do before she could finish her job. Taking a step back and inspecting the man Lilith grinned her eyes meeting the drained orbs of the senator. “They may be idiotic, but those Veorfolnir have decent taste in style. It looks good on ya.” A swift kick and over the edge he went tumbling down thousands of feet until after several moments his body would impact the ground ending him while causing so much damage that the wounds inflicted upon him by Lilith would be incredibly hard to differentiate.
“Guess I should find a different spot now.”

Asynia's frustration might have slipped past everyone else's eyes, but Vali picked up on it almost immediately as he heard a familiar tapping sound followed by his eyes being very briefly drawn to the source. It was unmistakable. A salamander rarely showed anger on their faces, it was no different for him either. It was clear from the visual evidence that Asynia's confidence was starting to crack. It was clear, and yet...She continued her forward push completely unphased."I would think their race matters very little, Asynia. Ideology speaks far louder than background in most cases. You speak as though there is absolute certainty they would never turn against their people. Can you truly back up those claims? Are you prepared for the consequences of your choice?"Vali expressed surprise as Asynia took his hand and began working the crowd into even greater levels of support. His tail tensed up like a tightly coiled rope, he knew that he had...Essentially lost this battle of words at this point. He was certainly disappointed, but...He did hold some respect for what she managed to do. He was impressed up until the interruption that is. The video feeds cut to some mysterious figure. Someone expressing sentiments not entirely removed from his own. All the same however he gave a sigh, his pointer finger and thumb pressed against the left temple of his head."I should have known this was not to be a simple diplomatic mission."Further from the gathered crowds, a citizen walked through an alleyway by a skyscraper...And came across the sloppily disposed body of a senator. The citizen's eyes widened as they rushed from the alleyway shouting for peacekeepers."Guards! Guards! You meed to come quick! There's a body!"The brenchian peacekeepers mobilized very rapidly, and some had begun rushing for the gathered crowd not far from here, intent on warning the people of the danger. Asynia moved the microphone away from both her and Vali’s face once he started talking again. She kept her eyes forward towards the crowd, still holding onto the man’s hand. Quietly she responded to him.
“They’ll treat their own people kindly if they want our continued support. If we do nothing then both of our races are doomed. If things go wrong, I’ll do everything in my power to fix it.”
Asynia was planning on giving a closing statement next. She figured she had done enough for today. After this speech she was going to campaign to the people of Brench in various ways. They had a website set up where people could learn more, and donate money. Which of course would be put into charitable works. And then all hell broke loose.
It started with the hacking of her broadcast signal. Asynia let go of Vali’s hand and walked briskly back to her speaking platform. There on the display was a masked figure, who proceeded to completely denounce everything that Asynia had brought up. Her expression didn’t change, even as they declared war. Although her tail had unfurled once again, tapping against the ground. All the other Salamanders reacted similarly. A few were also tapping the ground with their tails. The ones at the camera worked to try and get the signal to come back. When it ended, Asynia turned to the crowd once again, raising her microphone to her face.
“It speaks volume to the poor state of our galaxy when charitable donations are accused of being bribery. I ask you all, why do people wear masks? It is to hide their true selves from others. So who is the true person behind the mask? Who would gain the most from spreading distrust and discord? A rebel Brenchian, who lay siege to the citadel? A Brench loyalist, who failed to keep law and order and let things fall into chaos? Perhaps they’re a member of The Remnants, who’s leader was exiled under accusations of treason? Or Maybe they’re an abondonist, who’s short sided policies will bring economic ruin upon you all. All these groups have something to gain by putting the Frieza Force down. And all of these groups have failed you, the people of Brench.”
Asynia clipped her microphone into the holder. She spread her arms wide, gazing out at the cloud.
“Your people deserve better! You deserve honesty, compassion, and a better life! The Frieza Force will bring all of that, and stabilize the economy! The only things the other factions will give you are deceit and war! And all the suffering that comes with it! Don’t let the other groups intimidate you! Come with us and live a better life!”
Just as Asynia thought she got control of the situation, peacekeepers showed up among the crowd. They then called out.
“There’s been a murder! Everybody clear out!”
There were shouts of confusion. Some people scrambled away. Others confronted the police, arguing with them. Although this didn’t last for long, as distant sirens started approaching. Some of the Veofulnir started to quickly pack up the equipment. The rest of them surrounded Asynia in a group and began to lead her away. They passed by Vaneera and Motet on their way out. The Brenchians would have a chance within the chaos to throw more words at the Prophet. Asynia herself was displeased.
“Must we retreat? We can’t let ourselves be intimidated.”
“Your life is in danger my lady. We must protect you at all costs.”

Among the chaos a pair of soothing voices rang out to the crowd, to everyone in attendance. Tones in harmony with each other as they sung a song out to the ground. Two young girls stepped out from the direction everyone was feeling, along with an older woman behind them who simply observed with a smile. The two were like twins, from their bodies to the color of their hair. In fact the only real difference was in the way they carried themselves, their clothing, and how they styled their hair. Though to everyone else they simply appeared to be twins, the truth was this was Motet's sister, a girl with two sides to her personality. Personalities that had been split into two bodies using multiform-all for this performance. For the older woman it had been intended to counter the the Salamders when they came with their diplomacy. But this worked even better. To sooth a frightened, terrified crowd... to route them over to her words... while at the same weakening the positions of all her opponets? That was so much better. The pair new their job well as they performed their routine, even personally going to quite a few of those fleeing personally and calming them with their touch-touching two brenchians on the shoulder specifcully. She did have to admit they played a very good game however. Why if she hadnt come in last this would not when be an option. But of course she had-Because the woman named Morrigan knew where to make her moves~ So the song continued, along with the movements of their dance-playing through the crowd. It's volume seemed to go on endlessly, reaching all that fled from the scene. Calming them one by one. each person gradually came to a stop. A song of unity, for them all to find what they had lost. to look at what they had. To look at her children in a new light. That was the point of the song, anyway. The twins movements remained in sync up until the end where, crossing by each other they sung the final lyrics as they stood by their mother with wide, cheery smiles. This was when Morrigan herself stepped forth with a microphone in hand. "Hello, I am Morrigan, the so called traitor. I come... come to to tell you all not to flee from the movements of a coward, A despicable worm in the shadows who seeks to sow chaos among us. No instead let us stand together... as one race, as one without the need of oth ehhe rs that have failed us before... the Salamanders.. the Frieza Force... and no doubt this new force that no doubt also seeks to use us once more, What has ever come from us relying others? I say we stand as one and fight together... destroying our foes no matter what it takes. Foes such as..."She paused, looking over to the fallen body for effect, detestable. "Scum looking to stir up everyone for their own entertainment"She adjusted her gloves, taking a moment to let the crowd take in what she was saying. Including certain key figures, including a certain figure listening in on a radio. In fact as she said those words a soldier, the captian of Morrigans 'Remanents' now flew up the side of a certain building as said woman began to leave. In the next moment Morrigan pointed towards a skyscraper in the distance. "Allow me a gift to show my stand with my people... Our scum in question, if you would Mr Warosa" "Mam it's Baraosa... sigh... whatever"As the captian reached the top he activated the equipment upon himself-recording equipment-the recording of which fed right to Morrigan... who put it upon the screen. "My gift to all you... one criminal not smart enough, or unable to hide her energy while she acts"Morrigan then stood. back, those that stayed were able to see upon the screen the cause of their earlier terror. The face that tried to dash their hopes... instill horror to them... it was plain for all to see. "Say cheese"Came the only words of the captian to the assasian. -------- Motet's bordom had quickly turned into excitement as Vaneera revealed her plan. Her eyes sparkled in clear excitement as she jumped up and down, hand on Vaneera's shoulder all the whole. Ahhh Blumona was the member she 'liked' most out of the members. Her feelings on them were a very mixed bag, but Blumina's tended to be more positive than not-reasons like this were exactly why. "Ahhhh Vani Vani! this is amaizng your showing them! yes show then! She gave a spin as she continued watching the goings on with glee. It was clear she was enjoying herself, listening close to the recording as it played. When it did finally finish she turned back to Vaneera, that wide gleeful smile still bright upon her face, Though of course she spoke as quite as her excitable bubbly self could manage. "How long did that take to plan?! It was so amazing! It was..."Her thoughts were interrupted by screams all around, for a moment Motet was confused as to why-until she caught sight of a dead body. Though unlike most she wasnt as effected by it. Oh had someone been reset? well that was a bummer, hardly worth freaking out over though right? He'd just respawn later. Far more important though! "That wasnt me, promise Van Van"She had to go ahead and get that out of the way just to be sure. She knew Vaneera trusted her buttttt Vani also tried to make sure she didnt do these things so much. Again she wasnt entirely sure why, but she didnt want to dispoint Vaneera ether! So she wanted to make sure she knew she was listening to her. Then came the duet, the song that rang through the crowd. Motet played attention to this to... but for a compellty different reason. The dread look on her face said it all. "I..its my sister!"Even as the 'duo' touched her shoulder Motet felt only chills and confusion. Why were they here? They wearnt supposed to be here right? And then... her mother came and Motet leaned upon Vaneera. her confusion was overwhelming her, to the point she hardly played attention to what she said. In fact only a few words came out in response to it all. "Their not supposed to be here... right?"

At first, Vaneera was pretty pleased with how everything played out; Asynia was on the back foot and trying to save face with her speech after that glorious interruption. Honestly, if this were the extent of things, she'd be content to leave it as it is. She'd have done enough damage to their cause and the image of the Frieza Force without having even to directly step in and do something about it. She was also happy that Motet was enjoying this turnout." It was actually pretty tricky, but..." But for some reason, this day was just determined to not go well. As soon as the shouts started about a body being a found, she knew that something had gone terribly wrong here. The crowd was growing restless, and the Veorfolnir began to pack up their equipment and guard Asynia, to escort her off the scene. It was the right play to protect their public figure, of course. But it also presented a checkmate that Vaneera could make full use of. It was just a matter of getting the time down just right.
She was going to say something as Asynia passed by, but then yet ANOTHER party shows up to the proceedings. It doesn't take her long to recognize that style of music, or the voices involved... If there was any doubt, Motet removed it with what she said next. Of course, Morrigan would show up now and start turning things to her favor. She honestly should have expected it. So was the dead body part of her plan too?
As that thought ran across the Brenchian's mind, it was soon discounted; because she exposed the actual criminal. Some amateur Assassin that decided to dump a body HERE of all places? Really?" WHY?!" , she actually couldn't restrain from herself shouting that at the top of the skyscraper, directed at the Assassin. Not that they could hear that at the distance between them, but... Come on now!
Motet broke Vaneera out of it by asking that Morrigan and the others weren't supposed to be here... To which Vaneera replied..." No, they're not. Come on." , she would gently grab Motet's hand and lead the way. Two could play this game, and she was going to win it. Just like she did before. After making her way through the crowd and ascending the steps of the Senate to stand at where the speech WAS being held... She takes a deep breath, and turns back to the crowd. Currently they were being soothed by Morrigan and her minions. That just wouldn't do." Let's show them what a real song is, Motet." With that, Vaneera began to sing, just like she always did when she practiced with Motet. She began to pour her energy, heart, and her very soul into it. This song was dedicated to everyone that was feeling lost and scared, watching all of this unfold. The crowd that they were trying to win over to their own ends. If there was even a possibility of her breaking the spell over each and every last one of them, Vaneera would soar for it.
And she knew that Motet would be right there, doing her very best too. Most people would be able to recognize them too. While she might ONLY be a Captain of a single Squad, she was still popular in the Citadel for being one of the elements that turned the tide against the Rebels. That gave her words merit to the people, and the song was her foot in the door.
It was only after finishing her song that she would then take a breath, and begin speaking." ... Citizens. I'm Captain Vaneera." , she began, still using that power from when she sang." We, the Brenchian Loyalists, are already hard at work defending you. Because no one knows your plight better than a Brenchian that has lived right here in the Citadel, same as all of you! We fought for our homes, not anyone else! Where were the Frieza Force when we were locked in a civil war?! How about the Veorfolnir?!" She pauses for a moment, then looking to Morrigan." I know what you're thinking. They fought for us too in that war. They did. They also showed no hesitation about throwing one of us into the fire. She makes an excellent point regardless. This is the point where we take matters into our own hands... So I ask you. Please return to your homes. Leave this in our capable hands." Vaneera looks to everyone that had gathered. " Because just like when everyone said it was hopeless against the Rebels... We'll come through!" , she then raises her fist into the air.
The crowd erupted into a cheer, even if not everyone agreed with her or everything she had to say. It was just as true now that the best thing that they could do is head home and be safe." Give 'em hell, Vaneera!" And other such shouts came from the crowd that was now dispersing from the area. Vaneera then lets out a small sigh. She shoots a glare at Morrigan and her cronies, before she calmly moves her arm up, the top of her wrist just in front of her face as she activates a device." Blessed Blumina. Lady Lemine. Valiant Velvette. I have a job for you. One of our sectors should have just lit up with a body reported by an officer on the scene. Go there and investigate it right now. That clothing on the body is bad news, and we'll want to get ahead of this. I already know you've been keeping an eye on this." " On it, Captain!" , an excitable voice replied on the other end, and then Vaneera lowers her arm.
She sighs lightly, now devoting her focus to these three. " You were exiled. Why have you returned?" , she asks bluntly. Asynia Vali Motet Oratorio Lilith Actions: 1 - Song of Light @ crowd, -5 Ki Natural Ki Regen: 10

Well underestimating the security camera at the senate building was definitely a mistake that Lilith would have to review at a later date now. The Young Shadow hadn’t been expecting her visage to be discovered so easily yet the technological prowess of the Brenchian Capital definitely lived up to the hype. Even if she wanted to eliminate the cameras now though she knew it would be a foolish choice, it would take far to long for her ki to reach each one precisely, her visage was already no doubt saved onto some sort of server and of course there were the others down at the senate that could no doubt intersect her projectiles while just further giving away her position.
No everything about this situation told her that right now the best course of action was to be just like the darkness. Dissipate and hide once in the spotlight yet ever present. Jumping from one roof to roof only staying on them for a few moments while putting progressively more distance between herself and the senate building. She’d dropped off the Senator like she had been paid to do although now it seemed like perhaps her assignment was a fail. The intention was for the Senator to always be found in the uniform of the finatics, but she was not supposed to be seen.
Switching it up a bit, Lilith suddenly turned halfway across the next rooftop and began running to the right. After a moment if anyone was trailing her they’d notice there was an entrance into the building and Lilith was headed right for it. Once inside Lilith made sure to find the biggest stair well. Although there was panic over the senate building at this point she was far enough away that the average citizen was inside their apartment watching on tv. Pulling open the door to the well Lilith hopped the railing and descended over several dozen floors only to cease her destent at the last few floors. At this point there was very little chance that anything managed to follow her.
Still Lilith pulled her hood up concealing her red hair and pitch peppers. She’d wait here slowly moving down the stairs calling no attention to herself. Should nothing happen she’d leave the building getting onto the street and begin to make her way towards the nearest sewer entrance. That was her get away, the nervous system of the criminal underworld would be her true exit. Although she knew there were certain cameras down there and that the police if they caught onto her would pursue her . . . well darkness isn;t something that can be detained.

Short sighted...Asynia was short sighted. Certainly she may have meant well, but it still turned his stomach all the same. She would risk leading both races into oppression - Risk enslaving millions for the temporary respite both planets required? It was better in his mind to suffer alone than suffer under a cruel ruler. His annoyance grew greater as Asynia tried to turn the situation around in her favor. He attempted to grab the microphone. - If allowed to do so he would toss it onto the floor of the podium and smash it with his foot."This is hardly the time for a speech. And these...People. who are they? Why have they decided to hold a concert here of all places? Have you lost your minds?!"He recognized the woman leading this strange...Musical. He had been given information on her prior to his arrival. Morrigan Oratorio. An apparent traitor to the planet. But why? Why was she here now? Had she not been prosecuted under law? He wished to investigate this further, however...Murder. Cries of murder rang out causing the entire crowd to roar with panic. Vali certainly did not feel fear. Even as he smelled blood in the air - He had anticipated this. He was walking into a political balloon and he was a needle. He was more surprised that the assassin didn't try taking a potshot at him or Asynia really. Though Vali showed no surprise or fear, his entourage did. Morrigan's impromptu concert only raised their defenses higher as all four guards surrounded Vali in a tightly knit circle."Son of Ymmir! Please hide within the safety of the Senate hall! We shall guard the door."Vali...Scoffed at them."I will not run from would-be killers like a coward."One of his guards turned to him with an expression of shock as he uttered words both bold and perhaps suicidal."B...But sir! Your image is not worth risking your life!!!"Vali shook his head in response to the guard's concerned pleas. He gently pushed the guards aside even as his advisors reached for his coat to try stopping him."This isn't about my image. This is about making a statement."Within an instant Vali gripped the chain that held his coat on, unclasping it and throwing it aside in one swift motion. As the coat floated to the podium floor, carried gently downwards by the wind, his battle uniform was revealed, and his power surged, but not to its maximum.[Ki suppression raised from 10 to 45. Still active] He began to take calm...Slow...Steps forward, he ignored Asynia and her followers as he gazed up at the screen which now displayed the apparent identity of the assassin. He continued walking, and brushed past Morrigan as black smoke began to emit from his body. After a mere moment he now looked like a Brenchian Soldier as the smoke dissipated harmlessly...[Masking Field Activated! Form: Brenchian Soldier] "You won't get away so easily."Through the two opposing songs and the constant movement of the crowd Vali walked towards the skyscraper...And then sprinted, and then he took off like a rocket, flying not for the skyscraper...But the buildings nearby. He kept his eyes on the rooftops to ascertain where this assassin was running. Certainly they were fast, and almost impossible to spot given the lighting. But Vali relied on his senses rather than his eyes. He needed only to find a high signature. But rather than give chase into the building...He landed outside, and His luck paid off. The mysterious assailant was already exiting the building. Vali had almost missed his window of opportunity. Had he stayed behind to focus on the other distractions they would certainly have escaped. They were attempting to conceal themselves, but their signature matched - There was no doubt on his mind. He stepped out from a corner, still disguised as an average soldier of this world. He couldn't reveal his full hand yet."Hold it right there. I saw you on a broadcast! We all did! It's only a matter of time before my comrades show up. I suggest you don't make any sudden movements because I've got a ki blastered trained right between your eyes." ... Of course the truth is that the 'ki blaster' was a fake. But he did in fact have something to fall back on should this moving shadow decide to retaliate. Asynia Motet Oratorio Vaneera Lilith

Asynia’s tail swatted Vali’s hand out of the way. For a few seconds, she glared at her fellow Salamander. Then she had responded to the masked Brenchian who had hacked her signal. She couldn’t afford to show weakness now. She was going to be forced to give a closing statement early, but she wasn’t going to end on that low note. She would put everything she had into finding out who hacked her speech. She had paid good money and gone through all the proper procedures to set this up. She wasn’t going to let some coward in the shadows ruin all of this.
But then all hell had just completely broken loose. Not only was there a dead body somewhere, but suddenly the exiled faction just appeared. Of course Morrigan had her own grievances with her. This was something that Asynia could not have possibly been prepared for. She had, of course, practiced for debates with members of the other factions. But the exiled faction was not supposed to be a part of that. And she wasn’t prepared for the singing.
Asynia was caught a bit off guard by it. Was it some type of marketing strategy? That was until it actually started reverberating. While her own mind was clear, she could sense that there was ki being put behind it. It was meant to try and influence the people who were listening to it. Not to mention Morrigan using a tragedy to promote her exiled party was particularly tasteless. But that was the least of their problems.
Morrigan had managed to track down the assassin using the security system. Vali had immediately taken off after him. Asynia stopped, despite the urging of her urging of her guards to keep moving. She recognized the signature that he had gone after. She had encountered an assassin of darkness. She failed to apprehend them though. Now she had a chance to redeem herself. Her guards, who had stopped when she did, voiced their confusion.
“Milady, you need to hurry!”
“You and the others guide the crowd to safety. I don’t want any arguments on the matter.”
Asynia flew up into the air before they could protest. They scrambled to follow her command. Asynia tracked the faint signals of the assassin and Vali. She landed on top of a nearby building, within good vanage point of what was going on. She saw that Vali had taken the form of a Brenchian police officer. Was he trying to get the assassin to surrender? Well, she would help make that person’s decision easier. Asynia clapped her hands together, like she was making a prayer. An aura of white light began to surround her. Her signature technique was an attack that went vertically up. Although she could control it in various ways. It was perfect to avoid hitting the buildings around them. Assuming she would have to fire it off.
Asynia uses all 3 actions to charge Breidablik’s Rapture (Tier 2 Variant)
