Motet was frightened, unsure at the arrival of her sister and mother. They were supposed to be gone, Mother did bad so Vani had to make her go away. She trusted Vani... She always would. But why was mom back? Why was she trying to help? What did she want?
She was brought into focus when Vaneera took her hand firmly in her own. Doing so was enough to inspire confidence into the brench. Though still a bit nervous at first, once they reached the tops of the Senate stairs Vaneera's words slowly eroded that worry-a worry that vanished when Vaneera asked her to sing. In response Motet eagerly nodded her head-a wide smile crossed her face, revealing her usual, ever so fang like as she took a spot beside Vaneera on the Senate floor.
"Yes! Our song Vani! let's go!"
Motet sung in tandem with her partner, her closest and most important person. Every movement, every post, every word made in sync with each other. Words filled with confidence, sung with everything they had. It was a sing meant to bring everyone together, under one banner. Motet gladly sung every word alongside Vaneera-and stood right at her side as they finished.
In the background Morrigan simply smiled contently, despite the crowd moving to the pair's side. After all it was going as she wanted ether way here. Nova however was distraught as her multiform dispersed. She thought she was helping these people for mother. Why was her traitor sister and that annoying captian getting in there way?!
Motet remained at Vaneera's side, managing to disregard her mother's presence despite her earlier worst-it was all thanks to Vani's help of course!
"Shes right! I'm a soldier, a soldier of our people. Can you hear me fellow soldiers? Can you? This is our time to stand together! Solders... normals... all of us together!"
While Motet contributed her own part Vaneera glared at Morrigan. She would likely also see a returning, childish glare from Nova, However Morrigan herself simply nodded, making a shooing motion for her to continue. Her plan had been broken here... but main goals were still met. It didnt matter who brought the brenchians together-What mattered was that they wearnt brought into the Frieza Force or the hands of that cult.
That just woudnt do, not at all~
Motet was delighted by the cheers of the crowd, pulling Vaneera into a delighted hug-of course not caring, or understanding that they were in public.
She never really understood that silly image protecting thing, they needed to celebrate this!
"We did it Vani! we did it! haha, nothing can beat us!"
Then when Vaneera confronted her mother Motet was right there to back her up!
"Yeah your all supposed to be gone you bunch of bad eggs! Gone, erased!"
The cut back from Nova was quick-her more innocent personality was clealry on control.
"We didnt lose the game sis, and you should speak more respectfully to mother! shes the only reason your here!"
The only response to this was a growl from Motet, who tried to move forward-but would likely be held back by Vaneera.
Morrigan meanwhile was calm as could be in the face of all this. Like a stream she simply adjusted herself, replying in that ever insufferable neutral tone.
"Its quite alright Nova, given her current role model one cannot blame her for being so... unruly towards those she shoudnt. As for why I'm here Vaneera? Why, I have as much of a duty to this planet as you do, and it seemed quite like you were not going to be able to reel everyone in... even now those ambassadors are handling what you, as a protector of this planet should be handling, look out there... see those with nothing to do with us solving or problems. How does it make you feel? Belive it or not, we share at least one goal here, as much as it may annoy you to hear~"
Motet was to mad to actually reply with words, her growl now extending to her mother as well.
Morrigan grinned, shaking her head as if in disspointment.
"A shame though, you dont seem to have made any progress aside from tying her to your will instead of mine, Or is that all you really wanted in the end little conquer?"
"Shut up! I'm way better now! Vani says so!"
"My point... exactly"
Among it all, with both the criminal on the ground, and both of the enemy Salamanders focused upon him. The captian John Barosa decided now was the time to leave, his part in all this now finished he began to fly off-but noted the talents of those set upon the criminal in question. They were quite the sight to behold, even for an enemy... they had come so quickly as well. And witht the female she supposed their was a sort of irony here.
Whoever this mercenary was... he supposed they now had to face the light.
Ah.. yes.. he was the best at jokes in the office!
And so unless stopped John Barosa would fly off into the metaphorical sunset, where if anyone cared to look [but likely not as they were al busy, but then that made it even more comedic didnt it?] They would see a flock of air born predators now chasing him across the sky into that sunset.
Because, being the smart soldier he was, John kept his lunch on him at all times.
Brilliant.

It all paid off. Motet backed her up beautifully, just like always. Thanks to that they were able to get the crowd back under control, and believing in the right people, too. That also made this whole situation several steps less dangerous, since they would be heading to safety and allowing them to work in peace. Everyone else was chasing down that assassin; she didn't mind if they were caught or not. Vaneera was setting her sights higher in that regard. Track down the employer, the one that was the cause of it all in the first place.
And for that, you needed hard evidence and clues. For now, she was happy to let the Ambassadors play the part of the hero for the night in catching the criminal. She would instead place her focus on Morrigan and her daughter for the moment. She keeps a hold on Motet's hand, keeping her from giving into their taunts, whether willingly or otherwise. " Easy, Motet. Conversation is one of my games, remember?" She said with a soothing tone to her voice. First up to bat was Nova. " In case you forgot, it was nearly because of that very same mother that Motet would not be standing here today. That is why she was cast out for treason. You made the decision to follow her into a losing war." Which means it was now about time for Morrigan to tag in. For better or for worse, the two were similar to each other in a lot of ways... Vaneera loathed that idea, however. She would deny it to her very core. Still, that neutral tone to her speech was unmistakable. Mainly because the Brenchian knew it wasn't true neutrality, it was arrogance. Morrigan sought whatever avenue she could to get under someone's skin.
One might think she succeeded right up until the point that Vaneera lets out a sigh, then wagging her index finger. " Ah, Morrigan. Always so shortsighted. I did say before not to correct my opponents when they're making a mistake, right? Hmm... Well, even if I didn't. The point is ever so apt." Vaneera then shrugs calmly. " Everyone has focused on the immediate goal. And I admit, it does need at least one hand to tend to it. Removing that particular piece from the board would be beneficial, but is strictly unnecessary to pool all of our resources towards right now." She did still have that information of what the body looked like. Or what was left of it, and more importantly what it was dressed in. " Really, it's for the best that you put the spotlight on the Assassin for me, that means all I had to do was get the crowd to disperse. Now my people can collect what they need in peace." By now she assumed Motet would be calm once more. But just in case she still kept a hold on her hand to keep her from chasing them down. " This was always your weakness, Morrigan. You focused on what was directly ahead of you, utterly incapable of thinking enough moves ahead. Why do you think I was able to bring you down as I did?" Blumina, Lemine, and Velvette had already arrived to inspect the body, and watch each other's backs in the process." Looks like the Captain was right... This is definitely just like those robes the Veorfolnir wear. But this isn't a Salamander." , the more technically inclined of the Squad commented." Yeah, that makes sense. No scales, horns, claws, a tail -- anythin' that really screams "Salamander" to me." , Lemine adds." Meant to spark conflict. Might have worked too, if things didn't play out in just the right way... Captain's a little too good at this." , Velvette muses.A quick scan of the body by Blumina then confirms the worst of it. " It's a Senator... One of OUR Senators. We've gotta keep this quiet until Captain can get all of the information sorted out." The three of them set about properly covering the body without tampering with the scene, as well as sectioning the area off as an official investigation. No one else would be approaching this area anytime soon. Not until they were ready to move forward with an actual plan.
" Still, I won't be giving away everything for you, Morrigan. I have to give you the idea that you can keep up with me, after all." , the Brenchian begins to finish off her discussion. There was just one last detail to address." As for Motet... Don't worry. You'll see her rise to heights that you never thought impossible, and she'll never need you or me to do it. With one key difference. She'll actually want me by her side." With that, Vaneera was ready to say that the talking was over. " Now, be a dear both of you? Go back to your hole." “Oh perfect.”
What seemed to be just a random officer of the Brench Capital who was at just the right place now was imposing his false authority over her. Although Lilith hadn’t learned how to suppress or sense the ki she still knew such things were possible. It was far more likely that this officer was able to sense her ki, simply doing that in order to cut her off than just being incredibly lucky in his own placement. That left Lolth with only a few options though most of which included killing this guy which brought the attention of the capital right back to her.
Lilith though wasn’t so certain knowing that her clothing concealed virtually everything about her including the long red hair that no doubt had been visible via the cameras. So at the moment to everyone around this was just an officer interacting with someone randomly on the street.
“Are you crazy? Please don’t shoot me. I didn’t do anything.”
Putting on a show for a moment as Lilith’s lightless orbs scanned through the street. It only took a moment for her to find exactly what she had been seeking. A cover to the underbelly of the capital. A small enough entrance that only a single individual would be able to get through at a time. Once inside Lilith was certain that even if the entire capital was looking for her at once she’d still escape.
The only issue seemed to be though that the little entrance she found was over twenty five feet away past the officer. So she’d have to figure out some way to play this off if possible. He threatened her with a supposed blaster yet no such weapon was in view. Lilith was pondering over the possibility of getting down on her knees in a ploy of supposed panic in order to lure the officer into a false state of superiority.
She didn’t get that chance though as light began to shine down from the top of the building she had just exited. Light bright enough that even from the top Lilith could see the difference and hate the illumination of the world around her. It wasn’t artificial from a machine, no this was different. Lilith felt it in her soul, this was her opposite.
Rushing forward Lilith's shoulder bumped the officer in an attempt to get him off balance or knock him to the ground. She wasn’t in a position to emerge victorious which meant it was the time to retreat. Rushing down the street towards her entrance to the underbelly all while making sure to notice just how bright this city was forced to accept.

So she was facing him now...Perfect. Drawing her attention was exactly what he had hoped to accomplish. This wasn't about "Capturing her alive", this was about making sure that no matter how far she ran, he would be able to hunt her down. If anything, leaving her alive was a risk that couldn't be afforded. It wasn't anything personal, just that someone with this much affinity to the shadows was a massive threat to Vali - Even more than his political opponents. Someone who was not only willing but fully capable of making a show out of their killings...It was clear that if this strange black figure left alive, they would ruin everything he was working towards. It wasn't about "Good versus evil"...It was about a war of superiority. It was strange to him though. For as cunning as this assassin was, she had failed to realize that she was still wearing an outfit that made her stand out in a crowd: Midnight black fur and leather clothing made using creatures that absolutely didn't fit with the heavily industrial world these two opponents found themselves on. As she spoke it was clear she tried to draw attention off of her, but her feint was already a failure from the start. Even as she begged he did not shift expressions in the slightest, keeping the fake blaster affixed to his wrist trained on the dark assassin."I'm not going to shoot you, I simply need you to stand down. You're wanted for questioning after all. Comply and you'll be let free soon enough."She believed she was above rules it seemed...But no one was. Even chaos must inevitably conform to order. The tension in the air grew as the standoff went on, not once did Vali take his eyes off of the enemy in front of him, though his senses were drawn away momentarily as something quite positive arrived...Assistance. The signature was faint but there was no mistaking that it was Asynia watching from above. He had no time to question her involvement in this situation. If she was here to help then he would accept it, if not he had a job to do and onlookers meant little in this scenario. The entire standoff dissolved in an instant as he watched the would-be killer gazing off to his right, his eyes widened as within that very instant she rushed at him full speed. Was she insane? Did she believe she could take him head-on in a fight? Her ki signature read near his level, unless she had some trick up her sleeve a 1v1 would likely end in a stand off.
unfortunately for her a stand off was the exact situation that played into his favor now. As she rushed towards him aiming to shoulder bump him out of the way he drew his right arm back and extended each of his fingers outwards. It was unfortunate that he had to reveal his hand so soon, but that was just how this scenario had to play out. Lilith's luck simply wasn't on her side. The salamander were built like rock walls even WITHOUT much in the way of physical training. But Vali was not lacking in physical training. He had been trained under the guard of yggdrasphere themselves. When Lilith impacted the "Brenchian officer", he slid back only an inch but otherwise gave no pushback. Before the assassin in black could move to run past however...Glowing claws appeared on each of his fingers - If his identity had not been proven a facade with the lack of movement then this certainly would have. Vali extended his clawed hand in an upwards motion right towards Lilith's abdomen. - If she continued to run forward she would be stabbed by each of the painful digits that extended from his hand. Failing that he would launch into a forceful shove, hoping to knock her to the ground. It was unfortunate for him but the two attacks broke the illusion that had been cast. - Black miasma dissipated from his form and he was revealed for what he REALLY was. He would leap backwards, moving to block her escape route."It's nothing personal. But there is no room for you in my world."His disguise had been absolved; Lilith would no longer fall for such trickery lightly. While it was true he had lost his gambit, he wasn't about to let her get away and completely lose his advantage in this situation. If she was going to escape he intended to leave her licking her wounds on the way out. This wasn't a battle of light versus dark. Good versus evil. This was a battle between two opportunists looking to change the entire universe with their influence. Asynia Motet Oratorio Vaneera Lilith Actions:1. How had things come to this? This was supposed to be a simple rally. Asynia wanted to make the transition of power and painless as possible. The most aggressive faction was supposed to be out of the picture here entirely. Yet they decided to show up and speak their mind. They weren’t legally allowed to be here, for god sakes! And then the Assassin showed up and murdered someone. Asynia had come so close to catching the shadow user at one point. Yet she let her slip through her grasp. She had come away completely empty handed. She couldn’t even get to Sludge. It was an absolute failure on her part. She wasn’t going to let that happen again. She charged her energy even as Lilith charged Vali. She wasn’t worried: she knew something of that caliber wouldn’t hurt him. She waited for Vali to fire his attacks. The Assassin was going to be off guard. She had been putting energy into her move this whole time, waiting for the right opportunity. And in that moment… “Repent for your sins, assassin of shadow! Breidablick’s Rapture!” Asynia thrust both of her hands forward, and a beam of light shot out towards the assassin. She was locked onto their energy signature, in case they tried to suppress their power. The moment the beam contacted a surface, it erupted into the sky, spiraling upwards. Branches of pure light shot out all over the pillar. The ones on the bottom honed in completely on the assassin. It would be hard for anyone to miss the visage that shot into the sky. Asynia grunted with concentration, putting all her energy into controlling the attack. She had purposefully used the weaker variant of her move. Even now though, it was hard to control. Parts of the street around the pillar of light collapsed into the sewage system below, and some of the beams of light completely phased through parts of the surrounding buildings. Most of the stuff the light came into contact with just seemed to vanish. Although living with Ki could resist its effects. She wasn’t trying to kill the assassin, but she wasn’t going to let them escape again. Not after all the things they had done.
Asynia charges two more times. 30% < 35% < 40%. Asynia then fires T2 Breidablick’s Rapture at Lilith. 36 damage headed towards the dark assassin. Asynia’s HP: 180/180 Asynia’s ki: 95% < 100% (5 recharged automatically)

With Vaneera's help Motet indeed managed to calm herself enough not to try and leap upon those before them. She gave a huff as she remained at Motet's side, fully in support of her Vani and giving a fixed glare at her sister and mother.
"Right... yes no one can beat you Vani!"
The brenchian was very confident in that fact, gaining a somewhat smug grin to her face now. Vaneera was their leader. A wondeful, powerful, charismatic, cute, inteligent...
Ah! she was trailing off, focus Motet, plenty of time to think about Vani's awesomeness later!
Nova on the other hand only tilted her head in confusion at Vaneera's statement, before openly laughing out loud at what she saw as childishness.
"And losing a life means what exactly? So Motet lost a playthrough so what? The baddies are gone and all it costs is her high score. Your supposed to be a good leader? You don't even move your pieces right!"
To an extent, that had always confused Motet to. Why did Vsneers seem so angry about it? She knew she didnt like her feeling bad, but what was wrong with resting? Yeah she had to start over but was that so bad? Still since then Vani had always insisted she not waste or risk her playthrough no matter what! So she did just that. She trusted Vaneera more than anything, mother was jsut a dummy, she had gotten so much better thanks to Van Van!
Then Morrigan clapped, clapped as if pleased. She was annoyed at first at Vaneera's confidence, and that showed. But ultimalty it ended in a way that satisfied her. Vaneera could have her... victory as she called it. But was it such a thing? Who had she beaten exactly? Before she called to the goverment, had her exiled over doing what needed to be done. Now she... what? was doing what she already wanted done? fuffling what she was supposed to do as a soldier? No if anything Morrigan was impressed by her handling of the situation. Perhaps she was a bit more competent than she gave her credit for. Though, that was only going to get her so far. she was still simply a piece on the board to get knocked over. Vaneera had stolen what was hers, that would not be forgiven.
The day would come when she was removed.
Ultimalty the woman chuckled, earning another low growl from Motet in the process.
"Ah yes, the pot calling the kettle black are we? speaking of arrogance as you spin it yourself... please do continue on that path, it will make work so much easier. As for my dear daughter why... I want nothing more than for her to grow stronger"
Vaneera would then breifly feel a pressure in her mind, another message from the older brenchian, telepathy.
The question is, will you be able to handle the beast she becomes once she does?
A very real aspect for Vaneera to focus on, something she would very much understand the meaning behind-even more so given her struggle at points with the young blonde.
At Vaneera's final statement Morrigan turned to Nova, their was a brief pause before Nova nodded. To Vaneera it was likely clear what had occurred, she had just experienced it after all.
"Of course, you have to get back to playing the hero don't you? Don't let me keep you... I already have what I wanted"
With that vague statement Morrigan walked off, with Nova sticking her tongue out at Vaneera-and in turn her a nearby rock bonked on her head by Motet, causing her to stumble a bit before grumpily walking off beside her mother.
...Morrigan did not react.
Motet now clung to Vaneera, in a way that screamed 'shes mine' to those around. With a huff Motet looked on to the distance, wondering how the situation there had gone.
"Vani... What do we do now? should we go hunt down the other baddie? Leave? Oh should we talk to the fake?"
Motet truly didnt know, she was a bit lost at the moment. But she knew what she could rely on.
Vaneera, Vaneera was right... she jsut had to follow her. Defend her. Fight for her...
That was all she needed.

Nova responded about as Vaneera expected. That only prompted the girl to shrug. " Let's say you're right. It's still a waste of perfectly good experience to just throw away that 'piece'." , she pauses for a moment. " For another. Let me know when you find someone that comes back from that." , yeah... She wasn't pulling her punches against Nova. In the process it probably also explained to Motet why it bothered her so much for death to be treated so casually.
Although she planned a much more coherent explanation for later. Right now her attention was on Morrigan. " Pride isn't the problem. Although it hasn't helped you very much either, has it?" , the Brenchian was quick on the draw. Her confidence was well earned, as she was in an advantageous position compared to her opponent. Although there was one thing Vaneera would never do, and that was underestimate Morrigan.
These open debates were more of a show than an actual confrontation between them. Still, that odd pressure as a telepathic connection formed did catch Vaneera's attention... Yeah, there were a few moments when Motet struggled with the concepts explained to her. The red-haired girl simply holds onto Motet's hand a little tighter in response. She wasn't bad. She just needed proper guidance. That was what she would give her, all of that and more!" I'd ask what it is that you gained, but if there's one thing that I've learned, it's that villains like you love to sound ominous even when they're on the back foot. Very well; when you're braver. I'll be waiting for you. That's a promise." With that, she turns her focus towards more important matters. Morrigan and Nova were leaving, and Motet was feeling rattled from all of that, and scrambling for an answer on what to do. The Captain started by smiling softly. " First, we'll head over to the crime scene. It's near the assassin anyway. You can meet up with the rest of our Squad there. Then I'll look into how things are going with our killer." With that, Vaneera starts leading the way. There wasn't an overwhelming sense of urgency, but she was still moving fast; and she didn't have to worry about pacing herself much. Motet could keep up with her, easily. The pair would shortly arrive onto the scene that the other three had already secured." Captain! All's secure here. Just got word that the crowd dispersed and went back to their homes, too. Couldn't expect anythin' less from ya!" , Lemine greeted with a quick salute.
Blumina looked up from her gadgets. " Hey, Motet. You okay? None of us were expecting that meeting." , she asks. Pretty clear what she was referring to.
Vaneera would give a nod to each of them, allowing Motet the opportunity to answer for herself. She steps over to the entrance of the building, near Velvette. " I'm glad none of you chased after the assassin. We don't fully know what they're capable of yet." , Vaneera states.
It prompts a nod out of Velvette. " We follow your orders to the letter. Guess the others aren't used to how we do things." , she replies with a small smirk.
Vaneera couldn't help but nod at that. This Squad had their own method of working... The Vaneera Force was pretty unlike anything else in the Brenchian Loyalist Military. Still, she closes her eyes and begins to focus on the energy. Picking out Asynia wasn't that difficult, that Salamander hadn't hidden her power in the slightest. Vali was a little more difficult to recognize; but she was close enough to be able to get a good feel for his energy.
So that left the other big one... The assassin. Right, now that she had an idea of the location, she'd start making her way through the building to the scene of the conflict. She trusted all of this in the hands of her Squad, so she was free to focus on the remaining enemy at play. Asynia Vali Motet Oratorio Lilith Notes: Vaneera's power briefly flares to 100 as she speeds to the crime scene. Suppressed back to 5 as she then starts making her way through the building towards Lilith and the others.

Of course the random officer wasn’t random at all. Lilith was a bit surprised when the officer didn’t budge against her shoulder proving that he had the might to hold his own. It was at that moment that Lilith knew something was up and sure enough by the next moment it was confirmed for her. Whoever this was had extended out their arm, but now was bringing his hand upwards towards her chest. Lilith had no other choice, but to lean backwards in a mock method of evasion that only gave her a slightly better outcome.
The claws of ki sliced into her torso through her coat. Blood seeping from the wounds yet while each hurt Lilith wasn’t about to cry and complain like a child of the light. As the officer rushed inwards Lilith steps forwards bringing her right arm around causing a song of physical confrontation between the two. Lilith was set to bring her elbow right around to the jaw of this fool while he managed to shove her off her feet and down to the ground. She’d only stay down for a moment though before raising her body up backwards in a roll.
Lilith was suffering in this confrontation that was just plain to see whoever this was had more physical strength than herself and this wasn’t her style of combat anyway. The disguise though broke apart and Lilith was left to question just how one of the speakers had gotten here so fast. “Next time take out all the cameras in the area.” Lilith thought to herself as she realized that at any moment now the accursed light would rain down upon her. Channeling her ki as fast as possible Lilith became wrapped in an abyss.
Vali nor Asynia or anyone else for that matter would be able to perceive the figure that emerged from the darkness as the light was blasted down. The area that Lilith had been standing on was completely destroyed while Lilith felt burns from the light along with a painful thudding across the majority of her body. She’d sustained more damage than she’d ever anticipated from this assignment. As she got back up to her feet though blood streaming down from her hair, she looked around and knew she was fine. Her armor was completely gone and her clothing burned, but she could still move and she was in the sewers.

As he lashed out as Lilith he felt his claws tear through flesh, although it wasn't a direct hit thanks to the assassin's quick thinking. Still it was clear visually that he had dealt a great deal of damage to her physically as her chest bled slowly, staining her clothing horrible shades of crimson. His shove managed to connect, knocking her to the ground just as he had intended, although as she fell the clever assassin aimed an elbow for his chin, connecting and knocking his head backwards. In his mind he cursed his carelessness, he had allowed her to counter attack in his hubris. Thankfully it was only a strike to the chin, providing only a momentary stun as his ears began to ring."You have no choice but to surrender you damnable fool. You've got a chest wound. Give up and I will make sure you're treated for it."Before he could utter another word the world behind him lit up as though Yggdrasil itself was sprouting up at his back. His eyes opened wide as he realized what was happening, and he quickly leapt back away as the entire area Lilith had been standing in was razed by blinding light. His attempts to reason with her were all for naught as he believed she had been completely wiped away for a moment... ... But a quick use of ki sensing once the attack faded away proved that somehow the mysterious murderer had survived the blast. Albeit not without suffering some serious damage. A massive crater was left in the street were the two combatants had been standing just seconds before. He walked up to it carefully, keeping his guard up the entire time as he peered down and saw that a path had been opened into the sewer."Curse my luck. The assassin is long gone at this point."The ambassador powered himself down, moving into a relaxed posture."Not that I would dare give chase down there. Only someone with a death wish would give chase to someone who lives in the shadows in a place like that..."He examined the impact, noting how even if he had somehow wanted to give chase after all of that, a perfect storm of luck had beamed down on Lilith. The tunnel was completely collapsed by the rubble of the street. The assassin would have no problem whatsoever of escaping now. But it wasn't as lucky for her as she might have assumed...Vali raised his hand, looking at the blood which dripped from his claws."Someone, quickly get me a vial. This is vital evidence to be saved back."He motioned to the approaching brenchian officers to gather a container of some sort to store the blood sample he had inadvertently gathered. He then looked to another of the officers as one of them rushed off to heed his orders. He may not have been a brenchian leader but his stature and aura marked him unmistakably as a leader to these men as the chaos subsided."It would be wise for you to have all hospitals on the entire planet on the lookout for a woman with a severe chest laceration. I very much doubt our clever adversary would ever approach a hospital, but we have to cover all of our bases. If you see her...Don't move to apprehend this stranger. A cold-hearted sociopath like that won't hesitate to kill you where you stand. Just call for your superiors if it happens."Vali looked up towards where Asynia had been standing. By this point she was likely going to be dropping down to street level. He stayed silent as he watched her, not uttering a word or showing any ounce of emotion on his face. There was a time and place for that, and it wasn't here. His mind ran wild with the information he had gathered from Lilith. Her ki signature, a sample of her blood, even a physical appearance...He couldn't tell where she hides, or even where she would strike next, but he had gathered so much information on her in such a short matter of time. Not the kind that told him where she lived, or what kind of person she was underneath that hood. But her very genetic makeup. Her life force itself. He had meant what he said before. He would have to eliminate her if he was going to get this planet's government back into shape. Someone who revealed themselves so blatantly without a care to hiding things in the shadows...They lived for destruction. Actions:1. Took the full 4 points of damage from Lilith's elbow jab. 2. Used Ki Sensing to detect if Lilith was still alive or not. HP: 176/180 Ki: 100/100 (+5 from natural regen) Asynia Motet Oratorio Vaneera Lilith

She managed to hit her. Her light collided with the assassin repeatedly. While it wasn't her immobilization technique, her enemy shouldn't be moving anytime soon. At least that's what she thought. It looked like shadows swallowed her body. Asynia reached out and tried to sense where she was. She sensed her down somewhere in the sewers. She dropped down into the hole without any kind of hesitation. Only to find her path blocked by rubble.
She stared at the pile in disbelief. They were there, on the other side somewhere. Yet she couldn't get to them and she knew it. Inconceivably, they managed to escape from her a second time. Asynia lept out from the hole, water dripping from her shoes. The expression on her face didn't change, but her tail slammed against the street. The force was enough to leave a small dent in the street. She turned to see Vali looking at her.
"I know that assassin. They killed a kid and I've been tracking them sense. They might know something about Yggdrasil darkening too. I had them and I let them escape. That's inexcusable."
Actions:
1. Asynia uses Ki sense to confirm whether or not Lilith is alive. Is unable to pursue her any further.

Vani gave orders. For Motet it and the comfort she offered brought her ease of mind. To know what she needed to do next let her take her mind off the visit from her family. She could focus on this dumb killer's actions instead! Investigate the crime scene and put together what they needed to checkmate them!
"Right let's get em Van Van!"
Helping Vaneera always cheered her up, games were always fun. Working out and cornering your opponent was great! Haha! It was one if her favorite games. Not her MOST favorite of course, but it was defnelty in the top few! With more pep in her step from these thoughts Motet followed behind Vaneera, skipping the entire way, right beside the much more organized young woman.
Arriving on the scene the rest of the squad began giving their report to Vaneera, Blumina asked Motet how she was doing. Though bothered at the time Motet now gave a wide grin in response, Vaneera always had a way of cheering her up, it helped that she was just a naturally cheerful person, as long as she had Vaneera it was doubtful she could stay down for long.
"Don't worry Blumina! I'm fineeee were the best right! we'll just beat my mom when we need to!"
Despite her current happiness the group knew how conflicted she was about her family. Despite that Vaneera was the most important person to her-that would always hold true. She gave a wide grin as Vaneera finished her statement, arms swaying playfully to and frow at her side
"Gotta know what they do before we beat em up and take em in! Know your opponent and take them down!"
A simple, crude way to put it but true none the less!
Something else would soon catch her attention though as they made their way through the scene. A large tree shaped burst of light rising up into the sky. Motet marveled at it, her eyes sparkling at what she was seeing. That could light up the darkest tunnel, she wanted it!
"Oooo flashlight... Vani look at the huge flashlight!"
Their was another man, Lizard man... no no Salamander! it was the salamnder guy! gosh his tail was cool. Beside him was the fake girl. Did she make the light? was she a big lightbulb?
"Hiiiii mr lizard, hi miss light bulb!"
She went with that assumption for now, not like anyone else could have done it, everyone else was busy and Lemine wasnt that bright! Lightbulb lady didn't seem very happy, nether of them seemed like it but especially her. It sounded like the bad guy got away, if barely. Why though? They hadn't failed yet. If anything They should get points for all this! The enemy ran away... it wasn't even over yet! Alongside Vaneera she made her way up to the pair.
"People like that, people like animals always come back! They like to play, can't help themselves... shes a snake though, plays from afar. Less fun but... it meansssss! That they will come back and try to clean up their mess... or..."
She paused, grinning wildly.
"We use their spoils to track them down and burn them at the base!"
She said that with a spring in her step and happiness in her face. She knew her stuff well!

Vaneera was well on her way through clearing the building, and that meant she was coming up on the open doorway that Lilith had previously fled through. She sees a bright light fill the outside -- far brighter than anything technology would produce, and it had a much longer standing presence. Her next hint was the sheer power she could feel off of it. And all of that power could be traced back to that problematic Hybrid. Oh, there was going to be a LOT to deal with.
Despite this, the Captain doesn't break stride. When Motet came along with, no one really questioned it. The Vaneera Force had gotten used to Motet being a free spirit, and that included Vaneera herself. It did remind her to be more diplomatic than usual, because of that. Lest her companion feel the need to start taking matters into her own hands. Vaneera could handle this, and she didn't intend for violence to break out.
She steps out of the door to quite the scene; the street has been leveled. An entire chunk of the road was just a gaping hole now. Beyond that, several structures and objects were also now missing entire chunks. It was one of the biggest messes that Vaneera had seen in awhile. She could already confirm with Ki Sense that it wasn't enough to stop Lilith either. That Assassin was still alive, and free to escape.
She takes a deep breath, and approaches Vali. The first thing she does is produce a vial and collects the blood sample. " I'll take care of that." , she speaks with a surprisingly collected tone of voice. But the expression on her face was anything but calm. The frown was apparent, as was the steely gaze of her glowing eyes. It looked like she was about to confront someone that sorely needed to be put into their place.
The Brenchian then turns, and approaches Asynia next. Vaneera hadn't spoken much about anything, and that was because she was deep in thought over how things played out. But now? Now it was time to make her thoughts known. " I don't know where to start with you." , she sharply states in an authoritative voice, now pointing at the Salamander Hybrid.
As if to accentuate her anger, her power flared. No longer being suppressed. Despite this, she wasn't moving to attack. " First you have a public speech to back the Frieza Force. Then we have a live report of an Assassin, and you decide to step in." , she begins the tirade. It wasn't even CLOSE to done." If you had caught the Assassin, I might have been willing to overlook that. But then you level an entire street, and you do so in such fashion that it allows the murderer to escape!" , she barked. Then she pointed to the mess behind Asynia. " If you want to know why you receive pushback on your decision to support the Frieza Force, this is why! This is how they operate." The young Brenchian was incensed with the Salamander. She takes a breath. " You know who has to clean this up? Not your cult. Not the Frieza Force. Not even Lemuria -- Us. The Brenchian Loyalists. We have to." , she then adds, narrowing her eyes. " It is only out of respect for the Lemurian Council that I do not file a report about why you, and the Veorfolnir should be BANISHED from Planet Brench, effective immediately." She then takes a moment to compose herself. " ... I am grateful to the Council for their services. But do not forget that this is not YOUR world. Don't give me a reason to file that report." , with that, she had finally finished speech.
Now, she was indeed quite angry about this massive blunder on Asynia's part. But this was also a power move. She wanted to set boundaries, and establish her position. This girl had been given too much free reign, and now it was time to pull the leash. If anyone wanted to challenge her on that, she hoped that they would have very good reason to do so.
The only saving grace in all of this is something that Motet had pointed out -- in her own way. This did present an opportunity to track the rat back to their employers... Or whatever place that they called home. " You're right, Motet... I still find the irresponsibility here to be distasteful. But we can still make the best of the situation. At least we can track the Assassin now." It seems as though her sour mood diminished a bit because of Motet. " We'll be handling the investigation from here on out. You've done enough." , she glances to Asynia with a slight pause, but then turns her attention to Vali. " Thank you for your assistance, Councilman Vali. We can take things from here, should you need to rest." There was a lot that she had to go over with Motet as well. But... All in due time. She wasn't going to start raining on the girl's parade in public like this. Vaneera was never going to treat her the way Morrigan did. Meanwhile... Lemine just looks to Blumina and Velvette. " Holy shit, guys." , she began. " Did you hear all that?" , she then added. Referencing the conversation they had just overheard thanks to the communications devices they had still being active.
Blumina shivered in response. " The Captain hasn't gotten that angry in awhile... Let's not give off that we heard that." , she replies.
Velvette gives a nod at that. Each of them had been careful not to speak into the devices. Nonetheless, they had their chills about it. Not much set Vaneera off. But Asynia might as well have walked straight into a minefield. Asynia Vali Motet Oratorio Lilith Notes: Used Ki Sense to confirm that Lilith is still alive... With the dust settled the Lemurian prophet's reactions became quite clear. To most her poker face was impressive enough to not give off anything, but Vali was more than capable of reading the subtle signs of her rage, and as she spoke it became all the more clear why she reacted with such anger. The Salamander Diplomat could only lower his head somberly as Asynia noted that this assassin had killed a child."What a disgusting lack of professionalism. If you're going to become an assassin at least leave non-targets out of your business."He sighed and motioned for Asynia to look at the blood he had drawn from their mysterious enemy. He didn't say a word for a moment until a very angry Vaneera arrived to take the blood sample off of him. He raised an eyebrow in curiosity as the woman who took the sample held an aura of authority as she walked, clearly marking herself as a leader of some sort. Setting aside the question of "Why does a Brenchian Commander have vials for blood samples"? Vali finally broke his own silence to address the salamander girl."They've escaped for now in any case, but a wounded beast can only run for so long before the hunter catches up."Vali reached into his pocket and takes out a fancy silken cloth, wiping away the remaining blood from his claws once he confirmed Vaneera had collected enough for a proper sample. Though his eyebrow raised again - This time in confusion as Motet arrived right behind the brenchian commander. As the strange girl muttered out the greeting "Hi Mr Lizard!" He pointed a finger at himself, asking if Motet was referring to him. He watched silently as the leader in the red cloak began to flare up her power, displaying a rather awful temper even if her words weren't wholly unwarranted. He stepped over to the other salamander, and the commander, interjecting on the rant."If I may interrupt for a moment."He cleared his throat, speaking calmly. His expression didn't change for even a second, remaining the same steel gaze it had been the whole time prior."Asynia has already been working to try and catch this assassin. Though I am aware "Almost" doesn't make the cut, perhaps now that the path shadows may travel has become narrow it would be in your best interest to shine a spotlight on what remains."Though his words were vague, it was clear he was referring to a "temporary truce" between the Verfolnir and Brenchian loyalists. It was something that made his stomach turn, he hardly wanted anything to do with that group, and the way his tail tensed up as he mentioned a truce showed his disgust, but Asynia was persistent, and between the four of them her power was the perfect counter for darkness. And...In some way he wanted to give her a third chance to make up for her mistakes. He knew very well she would never be able to forgive herself if she wasn't able to put a close to this issue."... Though I despise these baser cultists, I believe bringing them into your fold would prove a better use of time than trying to oppose them. Especially when some on Brench are converts to the religion of Yggdrasil. You would be winning their trust and wresting them from the Frieza Force's influence."He simply shakes his head as Vaneera insists he can rest now if he wanted, although he acknowledged her appreciation."I'm afraid I cannot retire yet. My work for the day isn't done. - It hasn't even started in fact...Although I suspect these negotiations will be postponed now that the assassin has struck." Vaneera Asynia Motet Oratorio

Asynia only spared Motet a brief glance. If she was the type of person who gave childish nicknames to people, then she wasn’t worth talking to. Unless she absolutely had to. Besides, her main interest was taken up by the Brenchian who was chewing her out. Her expression didn’t change throughout what she considered to be a tirade by the Brenchian. Although by the end of it her tail was tapping against the ground steadily.
“I’m well aware of the damages I’ve caused. I’m adding additional funding to the donations to pay for the costs. That being said, You don’t have the authority to impose on our right to free speech or to deport us from the planet. Not yet anyway. If the people decide to follow the loyalists, then I’d have no choice but to follow the orders given out by that faction. So allow me to make something clear to you.”
Asynia stepped forward until she was a couple of feet away from the Brenchian. She narrowed her orange eyes, which glinted dangerously. That was the only change in facial expression. Even so, she made for an imposing figure. Salamanders were naturally tall, even the females. At over 6 feet tall, Asynia made for an intimidating figure, despite being a female.
“You wouldn’t even have a world if our race hadn’t stepped in to keep order. I will not leave this planet until stability is achieved once more. That is my solemn promise. I’m doing what I believe is best for both of our worlds. I’m not sure whether you’re trying to intimidate me or just plain antagonize me. Either way, I would advise you not to do either, especially when your government’s power structure remains as unstable as it is.”
With that, Asynia turned on her heel, wrapping her tail around her midsection again. She walked towards Vali, crossing her arms and looking at him solemnly. Honestly, her emotions around Vali were complicated as of late. She didn’t know whether to be annoyed at him or thankful that he helped her try and catch the assassin.
“Vali, I appreciate everything you’ve done for me in the past, and for facing the assassin with me. But the Frieza Force doesn’t have us in their pocket. The path I’m taking is the best one to restore our light. But if you actively try to take actions that are detrimental to Veorfolnir, then I will have to see you as an opponent.”
With that, Asynia flew off, aiming to regroup with the rest of her group. Her mind was swirling with calculations and emotions. There was much that she had to address. Things would be much more difficult than she initially thought. Not only was the assassin a persisting problem, but there were more factions involved in the power struggle than she thought there would be. She was going to have to make new plans to account for the new variables. But she wouldn’t let this deter her: the light of her planet depended on her.

Flashlight ignored her? How rude! She just wanted to talk and discuss things, she even gave advice! And for that good advice shot the shaft! At least she headed Vaneera's words, even if she had the nerve to defy her on them. If she had ignored Vani to she'd have to give chase and turn her into lizard light flambé! Still who did she think she was defying Vani anyway? Vaneer was a hero, the greatest hero their was. She was a genius who planned her moves several times in advance. As far as Motet was concerned dwelling on what the lizards did in the past was useless. Sure their was room to give thank you she guessed, but not to Aynia or her group. They didnt do anything to cause it.
"Being right in the past doesnt make you right now lightbulb! The last thing this planet needs is another cocky know it all. Especially a fake cocky know it all who thinks she knows best for everyone. Being a shiny light doesnt make all your ideas bright you know!"
Not long after Asynia took her leave. Motet didnt care if she took her words to heart or not, it had to be said. Geez was she really that bad befor Vani took her in? Oh well, at least Asynja had her own night light, Motet had to grab Lem for that at night.
She was glad Vaneera agreed with her words. She was more than a laugh at parties! She knew how to work these things.
"Yeah don't worry! I know all the places crazy killers frequent! All the stores, hiding spots... hideouts... you can count on me!"
She likely gained a few stares from those around who didnt know her as well. To them she could only tilt her head and mutter in an innocent tone:
"What...?"
As for Vali's earlier comment? Motet had an opinion on that as well.
"I agree by the way! A good assassin only stabs their target, no one else. She didnt even make the body vanish OR succeed in leaving no trace she had been the one to do it, talk about noob!"
Again it was PROBALY odd to people who didn't know Motet well that she had such an in depth knowledge if these things....
Oooo The lizard man could talk like her to! That was fun! He was right to. They had the scent, their would only be so much running away assasian girl could do before she was cornered and taken down. When he questioned if she was talking about about him with the nick name Motet nodded excitedly.
"Hehe I like how Lizard Man thinks Vani! Of course I'm talking to you Mr Lizard! haha!"
She tilted her head at his suggestion. Shine a light? But the flashlight already went away! Maybe if she ran off now she could drag her back and...
Oh, he meant a truce, right... that worked to.
"Vani decides who we work with, She'll decide if we work with the fake flashlight! Dont worry shes smart, she knows what to do!"
Her mouth turned into a fanged cheery grin. Lizard Man was smart though, He had some cool tactics in mind they could use. Between him and Vani they'd fish that assasian out in no time and she'd cut her all up!
"Your smart Lizard Man, I'm sure you can handle things, better you than fakey"
It was noticable that, even though she knew Vali's name and, even if he introduced himself she kept on using the term 'Lizard Man'
Why not? She loved giving nicknames!
Though... if things were going to be postponed they could come back later right? If that was the case.
"Then we should start our investigation right Van Van? Early bird eats the worm!"
Swinging her arms playfully back and forth with a smile, Motet was ready to follow Vaneera on another adventure! Where would they end up next?
[If Vaneera leaves on her next post, Motdt will accompany her]
